Hi, I’ve been doing resin for a long time and I can actually share with you some of the troubleshooting solutions. The tacky surface is because your resin ratio is off, make you that you are mixing accurately your 1-1 part or 2-1 part as accurately as you can, most two part is by volume and not weight. Make sure you read the manufacturer instructions. The bubbling you got from your moon is from not using a deep pour resin, as another commenter suggested, and you got a bit of flash cure there, always make sure that if you are pouring something that thick and more than an inch or so deep that you use a deep pour. They are usually a 2-1 ratio and will take about 48 hours to cure, longer than regular two part but I will be worth it as they off gas themselves better thanks to the slower cure time. The strange effect in the shelf is just the color effect of the duo chrome mica reacting with the black and looking a bit grey, nothing wrong there. Over all you have done a fantastic job. Also, one last tip. If you are using two part, make sure that you are not mixing up two much at one time with the intention of mass pouring you could end up with flash curing in your cup.

Those turned out great! I love color shifting micas. If some of your pieces are still sticky after they’ve been in the mold for the full cure time, it’s possible that the sides of your mixing cup didn’t get scraped well enough during mixing. When the sides later get scraped to get the last of the resin out, there’s not enough hardener in the mix for it to fully cure. That’s just one possibility, they’re other reasons for it to still be sticky but, not scraping the sides is often the reason. I hope that helps!😊

Yea I'm sure it was probably that! The cups I was using don't have perfectly flat sides, there are bumps. But I got some silicone cups so that should help!!

I have looked at the moon shelf mold on Temu but was hesitant to buy it because i wasn't sure about the size and depth of the shelves. Thank you for a realistic video! Most i have seen doing reviews of unpacking their items and not actually using them❤

Try spitzing a little alcohol in the stubborn parts and wiggle it around when demolding. I learned it from someone else and it does work.

I'll have to try that next time! Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for showing how the moon mold goes together! I have this mold (from Temu) but I poured Resincrete in it. I forgot about the smaller bit however and was a bit confused when I pulled it out! LOL These all turned out fantastic. I loved the color combinations you used on the Moon Star shelf. Quite lovely.

Lol yes I was confused at first too! I had to look it up to see pictures on Temu and then figured out how it went 🤣

Loved watching your un-molding. Sometimes the pictures and/or description don’t give you much information so you just hope for the best. Also, the molds look well made and not thin and flimsy. More please.

The bubbles is because u need a deep pour resin.

Have you used the mica powers from temu? Did you use a heat gun or alcohol?

The mica powders were from an art store and I used a heat gun! I haven't tried the alcohol method yet!
