Very curious about these extracts. Two fruits that I love, but they never get right in an artificial flavoring, are banana and watermelon.
So new PC??????
suggestion if you are bored: Put Wine and whiskey/vodka in the same barrel/bottle and see what happens!
Wondering if you've ever tried to make shine with popcorn? Popped popcorn. I've heard of malted popcorn but not popped popcorn and can't find any info about. Wondering how it would taste.
Awesome vid big fella 👌oh the suffering for the science lol got that shine smile goin on 😂
The ethanol glow:-)
That mango is legit...I add it to some mango juice after cooking some mango chucks and a little sugar added then I add it 50/50 with some 100proof
Great video, Bearded. I always learn new hypothetical tricks from you. Recently, I made a small batch of Banana Brandy which is a gallon. The liquor fairy used the distiller, i just made the Brandy. It came out great and I aged half of it with cherry wood. It came out great
Good to see you back
Years ago my go-to soda was Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. So now I spike my rum with cherry and vanilla flavors.
Awesome video, I have still not got to messing around with flavoring, think it is time... love the Thumbnail
Wifey did the thumbnail. I'll let her know 👍
I hope all is well. Miss you, Brother Bearded!
Great video BTW. Thanks.
Thanks man. Just recovering from minor surgery. Doing well. More videos coming soon:-)
As always a great video! I am definitely tryin this and some of my own experiments.
Great to see a new BB video drop, you caught my wife’s attention with the Sangria one and the cherry lime aid one. Looks like I’ll have to put in an order!
I mix refined white sugar with vodka and flavorings from olive Nation and then mix it with soda water and boom i get Non fermented Seltzers
I mixed their raspberry along with fresh raspberries to produce a a nice whiskey. So glad you are back and looking like you are having fun!!!
Sounds great! I'm jealous!
You finally talked me into it! I ordered a nice batch of extracts, they have some pretty cool stuff. By the way, it's free shipping over $50 and they also have some great deals in the sets. Thanks again!
Oh nice!
Flavored vodka is the bomb!! I have some different olive nation flavors sitting around, time to flavor up for summer!!
How serendipitous, we was just talking about olive nation yesterday and that Bearded has a coupon code. Cherry Limeade sounds good!
I'm psychic!
I have learned that most people that don’t just drink say whisky. Don’t really like the taste of ethanol. So any time I hypothetically make a shine or vodka or something I sweeten it heavy. I’m trying to convert them but you know. The struggle is real.
The taste testing is the best part lololol
Truly😎
I’m a fan of flavouring Vodka, because it’s easy 😆 And also nice to see you didn’t say any of it tasted ‘artificial’. Good job 👍
I'm definitely going to try this, great video!
Love it! I've been using Olive Nation for a couple of years now. My favorite is the butterscotch to go in sugar shine. Thanks for the new great combos to try...cant wait!
What type of ratio do you use? Flavoring, sugar, etc?
@@depratercm I have not tried any sugar yet. I just give the olive nation a good squeeze into a jar of sugar shine and then taste test....
So use the Fountain or extract
extract...try the butterscotch!
Just a suggestion. Dextrose melts better than sugar.
Good point
My state is famous for grapes apples and wheat along with other things but I'm most curious if you could make a mash with those 3 and what flavors would come out of it?
That sounds like a really cool challenge:-)
Great video , I really hope your channel hits the upper 100k's soon.
Me too! Thanks 👍
Olive Nation rules!!! So does our friend B&B!!! Have you ever tried rose petal vodka before? Used with others in mixed drinks, it's surprisingly delicious, however, too much is too much (kind of like bitters). Thanks again for the great videos brother. God bless. Rev. D.
I'll have to try that. Thanks Preacher 👍
Awesome stuff!! I'm currently looking at doing a peanut butter porter for me and my mum, I just by chance bought a 4pack of a peanut butter porter from a local brewery here in south aus one day, well she loved it, she maintains its her favorite beer ever and I think 1. I can do it better and 2. Cheaper, like alot cheaper, its $120 for a pack of 16.. yeah. But I can go thru the process of designing a porter recipe and a 6-8 hr brew day or i can get a fresh wort kit for around $40 not including the peanut butter flavour and the brewday will be under 30 minutes. But I will need to do a little more research but I believe that olivenations peanut butter flavour contains peanut oils, and that may not be very good for the beers head retention and body, mouthfeel etc.
Check the website to be sure, and see if anybody has tried it on the brewing forums. I'm curious, so let me know if you find out.
@@BeardedBored deffinatley, will do! Thanks!!
That look at the end was Magnum! XD
I couldn't pull out Blue Steel on camera. It's too powerful. I had to go one step down with Magnum😎
Blue steel?? Nailed it!!
Thanks! Finally I can chase my dream of being a male model😎
Totally nailed it. I didn't expect that to be in Bearded's repertoire.
You just seem like someone you want to sit and have a drink with. Love the videos I still make the apple pie, but I din't get the seltzer right. I'll have to try again sometime.
Thanks! Seltzer is tricky, but you'll get it;-)
Hey Bearded, almost kicked a keg of mango hard seltzer (wifey loved it). Next up is a cherry/lime!
FYI: I made a PB whiskey using Olive Nation PB cup extract & it turned out pretty good!
Nice!
I’m so new to stilling. I’ve started to play with sugars for my t500. I have done an all white, 50/50 white and raw, All Raw, raw and brown, and just done an all brown. So far the brown has had amazing results. I don’t know how but would you be able to explain if there a fermentable thing or at stilling thing. I’ve watched you for like two years now I think, and comming from Australia and watching you, and still sprits has been a great inspiration. Love ya work mate.
Sounds like you're doing great. What's your question?
@@BeardedBored what sugars do a better job in a sugar wash. Like getting back to basics. White versus brown versus raw. What ferments better and what would you do if it was you?
Are the "Extract and Flavoring" different from the "Fountains"? I bought a couple of fountain flavors.
Question: If you used Seltzer water as the water you add for the mash would it affect the yeast life or ability to work? Second question if you used something like Black cherry flavored or some other flavor would it come through to the finished product in the end?
You managed to ask me 2 questions I don't have solid answers to, haha:-) As for the seltzer, it's possible it might diminish the yeast activity due to the high CO2 level during the yeast propagation phase where they need more oxygen. But I haven't tried it, so I don't know for sure.
As for an extract coming through distillation, my wife asked the same question. My answer is "Not sure." It's a distinct possibility that some will make it through into the heads, but since I haven't tested it, I don't know for sure.
If you try either of them, let me know.
Really cool way to get a foot in the door of messing with spirits.
You should “hypothetically” distill blaand
Still have some Olive Nation cherry I grabbed when you put out that seltzer video! This reminded me to put a drop or two in a few bottles of the wheat beer I have fermenting before carbonating. If that works out well I'm going to be getting real weird this summer. Thanks duder, hope you're well.
Let me know how the beer turns out 👍
Sounds delicious.
Good to see you back.
Don’t be a stranger.🙄🤣🤣🤣👍🥃
Hard to find in so many comments what would be your estimate of ml for olive nation flavorings per jar?
Start with 1ml. Taste really is subjective, so taste after every addition.
Happy holidays, may the "liquor fairy" bring you plenty
Been missing your videos. Another reason to proof first, Britta filer is plastic... high proof may not play well with plastics, and could leach out stuff you don't want to consume...
Do you have any sippin creams?
I made an orange cream and lime cream in my limecello video.
I would love to see you try sea aging your spirits, supposedly the rocking of the boat influences the aging process and seems to speed it up
I've done lots of aging experiments with ultrasonic and sunlight;-)
I bought that Olive nation Apple for this apple pie brandy mash I’m cooking up tonight with my Likker pardner. I was asked to make an Apple pie shine and I was so underwhelmed with the idea of doing a sugar wash and dumping apple juice in it.. no matter how you go it’s weak.. THE PLAN: make a spiced apple wine and a 20% grain mash and put them together.. ferment out and summon your likker fairy( hope you done mind) I’ll tell you what it does when I’m done. I asked that fairy of yours to put some apple wine, apple extract from Olive nation apple pie spice, Vanilla extract, 2 different pie crust flavorings blended to perfection amd apple pie filling all in the thumper to Infuse that brandy and make it apple pie right off the still before I even sweeten it with anything
Glad to see you again! I hope that things continue in a positive way, and the Videos flow like the "Coffee" from the mug I got for "X-Mas" #OfficalMerch
Thanks 👍
What's the shelf life on the extracts?
I've still got some of the extracts left over from when I did the seltzer vid in Dec 2020. They're still just as potent today. No idea what the actual shelf life is though.
what would a hypothetical alcohol made from dates ( as in the fruit of a date palm) be called ? Brandy?
I guess technically brandy, but I think it has another name, region specific.
Love your channel
Thanks! I love the entire concept of your vodkas!!!
@@BeardedBored thank you, I appreciate that ! You saw the interview I did with BrewBird? You all are awesome. I've been watching you, George and Jessie for a while. I miss George but Im happy he is enjoying life, 😍😘
Keep doing what your doing . If ever need info from the distiller side , let me know . 😘
@@blackmommabrands Wow thanks! Will do!
Ya nailed blue Steel
Thanks 🤣
Who made alcohol during lock down? This would be awesome to do.
It is a good thing that they weren't a higher proof. You might not of made itt through the video. :))) I lovewatching your videos. Please keep upthe great work, my friend.
Yeah, barely made it through, hahaha 😂
Where you been homie?!?!?!?
Still trying to balance my job and RUclips. I'll get my act together eventually;-)
Bearded!! I knew Something in my life was missing and it's better.
@@BeardedBored keep reaching for that rainbow brother!!
I like and enjoy your vids,,,,keep them coming
any chance you could update us on George? is barely and hops ever coming back?
No idea, brother. Haven't heard from him in a while.
suggestion if you are bored: Put Wine and whiskey/vodka in the same barrel/bottle and see what happens!
Not only the strawberry cream soda sounds dangerous. They *ALL* sound dangerous!
They're all tough to put down 😉
@@BeardedBored Isn't that what it's all about? 😁🍻
Thanks for a good video.. I shared it on my MOONSHINE LIFE GROUPS.
Thanks!
Omg i hope you were labeling those. Been there, forgot to label that...
Hahaha!
Bluesteel for the win ..lol
😎
The Propylene Glycol has always stood out as unnatural when mixed in carbonated mineral water.
I noticed that they have some flavors without PG now.
Hmmmmm, flavoured ujssm whitedog???
I run malt corn likker, it works great to flavor. I'm stuck on green apple right now, good stuff
I added some cherry to a whiskey and love it.
Yep I love it
OMG he’s back again! didn’t get fired did ya? 👹👹
Not yet🤣
Getting snapped for science.
The BEST flavoured vodka is called gin!
Aw dude you'll have to kick the hypothetical ferry up the ass he left half his set up on your stove is he trying to incriminate you or something 🤔 ( #legalisehomedistilling ✊)
It's a "distillery simulator" :-)
@@BeardedBored hahahaha love you man what a cool simulation!!!
USA sc
I bought their watermelon flavor and it tasted like fake watermelon candy 🤢
Haven't tried it, but I'll keep that in mind. So far all the flavors I tried are good.
