    Thank you @AllamHouse for your great videos. Quick question: I am using a setup almost similar to yours. I use Matrices (1-2 For loudspeakers, 3-4 for side fills for shimmer, 5 for subs). My issue not being able to control the entire PA system volume with the master fader. For some reason it seems to be controlling just the subs. I think it's a routing issue. Please advise me and thank you.

      This sounds like your other matrix sends are set as pre-fader instead of post fader. Click the select button over the Main Fader. Go to the sends tab on the screen and then you can use the encoder knobs below the screen to adjust your settings for the matrices.

    How did you route the Signal output from the Stream Aux Bus to go directly to Matrix and than to the Aux Outputs?
    Thanks a lot!

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  3 года назад +1

      Select the Matrix (on the right), hit "Sends on Fader" and go to the fourth layer on the left to find your bus masters. Here you can turn up the appropriate bus to go to your desired Matrix.
      The routing will be handled just like any other routing. I am using XLR outs so the routing is in Routing > Outs. If you use Aux outs on the console then this would be handled in the Routing > AUX screen.

      @@AllamHouse thanks a lot for your reply. What about headphones Monitoring? Will this function the same way as you explained in the video one console one mix? If i solo the Matrix then the mix should be monitored through the headphones jack? Am i right? 😊

      Yes, that is correct.

    Do you have a video that talks about the fx more in depth? It's hard to see what you have yours set to clearly

      I do have everything discussed in other videos in this playlist. If you check out the different sections I cover the FX used and then I have a dedicated video to the FX as well. Here is a link to the playlist ruclips.net/p/PLsW5UVUiB1ry8bnPJ5q8fR93KHW2TPKpg

    OK buddy so you are doing a mix on a separate buss the question is : How does this mix tracks with the main? If you have a steady send for each channel ?If you move a fader on a channel it doesn’t affect it? Is it pre fader or post fader?

      I will get into this in a later video part, but the scene is based off the information in this video which discusses all of these questions in detail

    My church had a new sound system installed that uses relays to power on the system in sequence. We use an X 32 mixer and we mute all of the outputs before powering down the system. If we don’t do this then when we power on the system it makes a loud popping sound through the speakers. I noticed that even if we mute the monitor sends it doesn’t stay muted upon powering up the system. I have to have my fingers by the mute buttons to make sure I mute them when the board turns on. Can I create a scene that keeps them muted upon powering on the system?

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  3 года назад

      The bigger thing to think about is how your relay setup is configured. In theory the console should power on first and then all of your amps. If the amps power up first then you will get popping when the console fires up. You could try to build a blank scene with no outputs routed that would be loaded upon shutdown. Then when you reboot the console it would not have any routing in place to offer any live signals, but usually the popping is coming from the general power of the board and you are better off to get the relay system corrected.

      @@AllamHouse Thank you for the reply! What would be the correct order for the relays to be configured? Should it be the board then the audio rack and finally the speakers? Could we possibly unplug the board from the relay and plug it into its own outlet and turn it on separately first?

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  3 года назад

      Yes, you can just take the console off the relay system and turn it on by itself. The console needs to be turned on first in the order… then everything else.

    What is this Pad track? is it a keyboard input using a "Pad" sound?

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  3 года назад +1

      We actually have an iPad app the has pad sounds and our drummer just selects the key of the song and it will play the pads... through the desired channels

      Instead of sharing my scene, I like to stay in the education side. When you build your scene according to your needs and make decisions of certain changes, it will be much easier to troubleshoot. Also, you will do things because they are what you need, not just because I (or someone else) did it. My next video in this series is coming out soon.

      You can check out the stream at this link. I mixed this service yesterday with a small band. If you check out other services, we have 3 other mix engineers and bands so you might find inconsistencies in the production levels.
