    Sounds like those balls need to be kept in about a 150° oven. They are absolutely smashing!

    imagine playing conference level ball and not being able to get consistent base hits and hitting a bunch of homeruns for outs.

  • @gporr7004
    @gporr7004 Год назад +2

    Maybe I’m crazy but can any of these infielders reach the first basemen? When did this bouncing the ball to first bullshit start? Been playing Short my whole life and never felt the need to throw a bounce ball turf or not. For conference level some of these fielders are terrible. And of the ball isn’t at the chest of these first basemen they can’t make the play.

      May not be as easy as you think and even though they are making errors they are the best players in the country.

      @@USSSALIVE They are definitely talented guys no doubt but if they are the best they should be able to make a throw to first base. And there are tons and tons of missed balls through a course of a game that’s all I’m saying. The balls come hard absolutely but I would think they would be able to make these plays being pros that’s all. It is an offensive game at this level. Not really defensive. Whoever scores 30 to 35 usually wins.

    If it weren’t for home runs some of these guys would be hitting .500. Some of them don’t even try to get hits. Home runs are easy it’s that base hit you need with no home runs that loses games.

    • @USSSALIVE
      @USSSALIVE  Год назад +1

      When the weather gets cool like it was in Texas the core of the ball hardens and it becomes easy to hit home runs when you are already the best players in the country. So yes home run management and base hitting becomes more important.

      Also gotta think. They’re playing on a average field. Hitting a home run on a 300-310 field is nothing. Space Coast is 340 down the line and 400 dead center

      I haven't played in 10 years but I wouldn't be hitting homer's. I don't think Mooch has hit many in his 16 year conference career. These guys make it look easy.

      You guys can keep making excuses for these players today but players fifteen years ago used their homeruns wisely. All these solo shots and wonder why they can’t win games. Maybe learn how to play the game. We played stucco/worth back in the day and going into the third inning it was 28-3 them and they were out of home runs. Now they had Phelps, Robbins, hall, garris and all these great players. That they didn’t score another run that game. We ended up run ruling them in five and we still had four homeruns left. That’s what I’m talking about. Guys could hit on a 300 ft field and guys who could hit on a 375 ft field. Nobody made excuses and they knew their job and what they were picked up for. All I’m saying is you play like you practice. Hell I would hit on a girls high school field and keep the ball in. The game just isn’t what it used to be.

      @@thepatriotwarrior4823 I remember watching Resmondo in the mid-late 2000's. You would think their offense was choreographed. Solos were rare, if at all. They had 16 homeruns, but they maxed their usage. I told Dale Weiser that a great stat for hitters would be RBI's PER HOMERUN. That would show you who's being wise and who's just padding stats.
