6:04 actually, there's multiple theories about where the word "chav" comes from but nothing concrete.
The "Council Housed And Violent" acronym is actually a backronym that came into existence after the word was first used.
As for Rob's claim, while it is plausible there's no solid evidence which means it could equally be a rationalisation that was made after the word gained popular usage.
Opinions are divided about its origins which means that for the time being its a word of unknown origin.

Are you seeing especially offensive ads from RUclips? Maybe it's just me?
But in either case, I want to know if it's because my surfing with good privacy practices has starved the beast, so their ad picker is befuddled, or if they know it's me and it's just targeted retaliation and harassment because I keep commenting in public about how EVIL the google has become. The gun ads and racist t-shirts ads are especially effective at being annoying, but not at selling. If I ever notice myself shopping from a google advertiser, then I plan to stop it.
And if you see this comment after many RUclips videos, that's because I saw another offensive and irrelevant ad.

@@jacksprat9209 Because of ethics. Ever heard of it? I agree to accept free videos in exchange for exposure to some ads. However the increasingly EVIL google seems to be abusing their market power to increase the dose and offensiveness of the ads, and that is annoying me.
But on the plus side, I hope it indicates desperation. My understanding is that RUclips has never paid its way. Fine with me if it goes bankrupt and allows honest competition to emerge.
And frankly even better if the google suffers damage in the process.
You can change your ad settings in your Google/RUclips account, and I would encourage everyone to do so
