I like how this person spoke fast, and also got to the point fast, while still keeping emotion and little extras in it, which is a high contrast from most explanation videos, which take extremely long to explain even the tiniest of things. The person spoke fast enough that it wasn't boring, but not too fast, like in some videos that I had to rewind. I like the theory that Aang was able to use flight for a brief second before getting (nearly) killed by Asula to gain the ability you must free your soul from all attachments to earth, wich was also the requirement of the last chakra that Aang needed to open to reach Avatar state

Yeah you are correct my friend. What I meant at the start was we will not judge characters based on the overall strength of the character but rather only on the specific bending ability. On Combustion Man I believe he seemed to be able to create bigger explosions with his bending compared to P'Li. But yeah P'Li could curve it as well, so yeah it's definitely debatable

You forgot HEAT ABSOBTION AND REDIRECTION was done by fire lord Sozin at Avator Roku's Island....... Sozin used the skill to cool the volcano by absolving heat of lava with the left hand fingertips and releasing it with the right hand fingertips
although we didnt see other firebenders use it iroh produced heat multiple times like heating his tea in ba sing se so we dont know if its actually rare or just pretty useless
i remember an Episode in Avatar: the last Airbender where Iroh predicted and redirected a lightning strike during a storm to protect their ship that was really badass!! i could imagine a lightning strike from natural forces to be more powerful than lightning made by benders!
There was another character we see Lava Bend, if only briefly. When Roku explains the Avatar state and we see flashbacks of past Avatars demonstrating it, the Fire Avatar before Yangchen made the volcanoes behind him erupt. On a side note, pretty sure Lava comes from having a bending lineage for both earth and fire, Bolin being the prime example.
I still believe that king boomi was a master bonebender. He was over 100 and hunched over. Until it came to battle, you can hear his bones cracking while just becoming a monster.
Air bending has also sound bending. And water benders can freeze water in bodies, and bend water in plants. And fire benders can bend also smoke and heat. And earth benders can bend glass

Where is suffocation? It is deadlier than blood bending. Plus, Aang didn't have time to learn many stuff. Sozin's comet was coming by the end of the summer; Aang as a 12 year-old managed to master all the elements in 6-9 months, while many other Avatars took years to master all the elements. I feel like there's an addition to the Earth Benders. Bending the metal within your body/blood. I feel like if a skilled enough Earth Bender trained and learned from the Water Benders and their techniques of Blood Bending they could eventually learn how to bend the metal within your blood to rip you to shreds from the inside out.
Well for that to work, the metal that is inside our bodies which is Iron must contain traces of earth or dirt to be able to be bended by Earth Benders, metals like Platinum for example can’t be bended due to it being a pure metal and containing zero amounts of earth
metal benders dont bend the actual metal they bend the earth inside the metal, shown by when toph first learned metal bending her ‘seismic vision could feel the earth bound in the metal. its also proven in korra that earth benders cannot bend platinum as it is pure metal. the metal in our bodies are stored as metal ions or ionic compounds so theoretically this cannot work.
I find it incredibly hard to believe that Zuko survived Azula's lightning attack, because not only was Sozin's comet present, but she also hit him in a spot that should've killed him instantly
Zuko likely would have died without Katara's healing. Also, it's hinted Zuko did at least partially redirect the strike while enabled him to survive the initial strike but be almost fatally wounded.
This should be similar to how Azula's friend (oh gosh the gymnast, her name eludes me right now) could block anyone's bending with hits to pressure points, probably also chakra/qi blocking in the physical process
Yes they don't understand they think amon could take away bending just like aang but what aang does is different. Aang completely takes over someone's bending power permanently and covert them to non bender human while amon doesn't do that he uses bloodbending and with that he permanently blocks the chakras and chi with which a person can bend and make them think that there bending is gone and they aren't a bender now but in reality they are only difference is they can't release that energy or chi since amon has blocked it and since no one is a a skilled blood bender as skilled as amon so they can't even unblock it even Katara who is a bloodbender couldn't do anything to unlock Korra bending until aang came and used energy bending to unlock Korra bending energy and korra used the same thing on others.

U cant give someone two of the same ability. So korra wouldve had four blocked pipes. I dont see how aang wouldve given her bending back if this is the case. Since he can only give or take away bending. It makes more sense that amon simply took away the capacity to bend in the first place rather than block the abolity from being able to manifest

King Bumi used seismic sense as well. Remember when he fought fire benders in Omashu during the solar eclipse. How did he manage to pinpoint soldiers and torse them into the air without looking at them. Also during Sozen's comet in Bai Seng Se, he did the same thing.
Theoretically, a non-bender can use seismic sense, it would just be extremely difficult, earthbending just makes it easier bc/ they quite literally can feel the earth.
You forgot the fourth Firebending subskill which is Heat Bending. It's basically the ability to remove/reduce the emanating heat from an object and redirect it to another path using the bender's body. This was first shown by Sozin during the volcano flashback

I think end of series Azula is definitely the best lighting bender because she could also fire it instantly as well and she could also do a double strike like Ozai not only that she had such great mastery of the art that she even made a lightning ball with the art

its because the lightening was strengthened by 100x during the Comet. Ozai’s strike was so strong if Zuko tried re-directing it he would’ve died within seconds
What about Heat Bending? It's a Sub-Bending Element of Fire used 3 times in the series. Roku, Sozin and Iroh have all used it on screen. At its peak it can turn metal to ash instantly and also has unmatched precision

vine bending is just bending water inside plants so its not really a sub bending same with poison since the poison was just mercury a type of metal. Ice bending isnt really considered a sub bending since everyone can do it and its so common and yeah he just missed sandbending
I saw a theory that kind of explains lava bending and why we don't hear anything about it before Legend of Korra. This theory helps me accept it. To be able to lava bend you have to have a parent from both the fire nation and the earth kingdom and while you might not be able to bend fire as well, fire is still in your blood and you are able to connect with it when it is part of rock. It wasn't until sometime after the 100 year war where interracial marriages became more common. This theory would also help explain why it's so rare, but not unheard of in the time of Korra.
In my opinion, lightning bending was supposed to be an air technique. Lightning occurrence is more related to weather. There had to be a fire technique in lava bending. In lava, it's very hot like fire.
It's still make sense for an earthbender to bend lava. Afterall, lava is just liquid earth. But I would theorise that in order for an earthbender to be able to lavabend, he/she must possessed a minor-fire chi that he/she get through 1 of his/her parents. Like Bolin, who is an earthbender, but has a minor fire pre-disposition chi through her firebending mother.
Doesn't make any sense for it to be an air technique, air benders aren't just weather manipulators. By this logic, air benders should basically just be fire benders because they're lacking a temperature transfer technique. Imo tho, we haven't seen the most dangerous subform of air which is implosion bending, they haven't even suggested it exists.

Aang defeated all hid enemies without having to rely on the past avatars. Yes korras enemies might have been stronger but she had more things at her disposal (bending sub-elements) like energy bending and her friend using magma bending and lightning bending, mate even one of aangs friends wasn't even a bender and was a flippin comedian, yes katara knew blood bending but she pretty much never used it, toph knew metal bending, but she had to learn it herself with instead of people saying it's possible people saying it's impossible. Suki isn't a bender either, not even her and her best warriors could defeat or even put a scratch on azula. And who rivals adults power by themselves? Mako. Hang had to go throw alot with his friends and not just been told what to do. I think we can all agree now aang had to do what he did without help from anyone but his friends really, most of the time tenzin and lin beifong (beifong is a metal bender too, like korra) were there to help them. Also yes I do know aang used roku once to clear an opening for him to run away, but that isn't the same as giving him back his bending. A mere smoke bomb could do the same as what roku did to help aang. Also I know on korras team they have one non bender but she has those glove thingies that unleash strong shocks.

Zuko (as far as I know) couldn't generate lightning, but could redirect it. Iroh can do both, as seen when he demonstrated lightning to zuko. I think he has also used it once or twice in the show for combat purposes.

This video just made me realize why Bolin was able to lava bend and not metal bead. It's probably because genetically he is both a fire bender and a earth bender... I guess genetics do have some part in not only what you beand but also what special abilities you can get. So cool. 🤩( Also there is a possibility I'm wrong but just thought it was a cool idea for why he can only lava bend.)
I always thought that Avatar specific bending would be cooler. Like you said Lava Bending would be a combo of Earth and Fire. And how about Steam Bending being Water and Fire. Cloud bending could be Water and Air. Plant Bending would be Water and Earth. Lightning could have been Air and Earth. Invisibility could be Air and Water. I could go on. I think its probably better the way it is giving more characters more options. But, it would be cool to have Avatar Aang and Korra use these various combinations to make them overpowered after mastering the basic four elements. It would give them a logical power creep in later episodes as tools for their success that they have to creatively use in difficult situations. It would be a great way to keep the action exciting and fresh and difficult situations a way to demonstrate creative problem solving. I can already see Sokka brainstorming a plan asking Aang if combining two or three elements to try some sort of creative escape plan.
these are all possible with single elements water is shown from day 1 to be all forms of water. invisibility would just be bending air to then bend light reflecting off it no need for water. earth has n relation to plants themselves as earth bender cant control plants only rocks. and lava is just an earth form change

There was another character we see Lava Bend, if only briefly. When Roku explains the Avatar state and we see flashbacks of past Avatars demonstrating it, the Fire Avatar before Yangchen made the volcanoes behind him erupt. On a side note, pretty sure Lava comes from having a bending lineage for both earth and fire, Bolin being the prime example.

Where is suffocation? It is deadlier than blood bending. Plus, Aang didn't have time to learn many stuff. Sozin's comet was coming by the end of the summer; Aang as a 12 year-old managed to master all the elements in 6-9 months, while many other Avatars took years to master all the elements. If Aang had time, he would've mastered every sub-bending too.

I feel like there's an addition to the Earth Benders. Bending the metal within your body/blood. I feel like if a skilled enough Earth Bender trained and learned from the Water Benders and their techniques of Blood Bending they could eventually learn how to bend the metal within your blood to rip you to shreds from the inside out.
Well for that to work, the metal that is inside our bodies which is Iron must contain traces of earth or dirt to be able to be bended by Earth Benders, metals like Platinum for example can’t be bended due to it being a pure metal and containing zero amounts of earth
metal benders dont bend the actual metal they bend the earth inside the metal, shown by when toph first learned metal bending her ‘seismic vision could feel the earth bound in the metal. its also proven in korra that earth benders cannot bend platinum as it is pure metal. the metal in our bodies are stored as metal ions or ionic compounds so theoretically this cannot work.

I find it incredibly hard to believe that Zuko survived Azula's lightning attack, because not only was Sozin's comet present, but she also hit him in a spot that should've killed him instantly
Zuko likely would have died without Katara's healing.
Also, it's hinted Zuko did at least partially redirect the strike while enabled him to survive the initial strike but be almost fatally wounded.
For those wondering how amon took peoples bending away he actually block all of there Chi's with blood
This should be similar to how Azula's friend (oh gosh the gymnast, her name eludes me right now) could block anyone's bending with hits to pressure points, probably also chakra/qi blocking in the physical process
Yes they don't understand they think amon could take away bending just like aang but what aang does is different. Aang completely takes over someone's bending power permanently and covert them to non bender human while amon doesn't do that he uses bloodbending and with that he permanently blocks the chakras and chi with which a person can bend and make them think that there bending is gone and they aren't a bender now but in reality they are only difference is they can't release that energy or chi since amon has blocked it and since no one is a a skilled blood bender as skilled as amon so they can't even unblock it even Katara who is a bloodbender couldn't do anything to unlock Korra bending until aang came and used energy bending to unlock Korra bending energy and korra used the same thing on others.

@@shounenking313issue is that if aang needed to use energy bending to give korra her bending then that means amon actually took it away. For example lets say there’s a tank of water. Aang creates a pipe to allow the water to flow, or takes away the pipe in order to stop the flow. In korra’s case her pipes were simply blocked according to this statement. U cant give someone two of the same ability. So korra wouldve had four blocked pipes. I dont see how aang wouldve given her bending back if this is the case. Since he can only give or take away bending. It makes more sense that amon simply took away the capacity to bend in the first place rather than block the abolity from being able to manifest

Theoretically, a non-bender can use seismic sense, it would just be extremely difficult, earthbending just makes it easier bc/ they quite literally can feel the earth.

You forgot the fourth Firebending subskill which is Heat Bending. It's basically the ability to remove/reduce the emanating heat from an object and redirect it to another path using the bender's body. This was first shown by Sozin during the volcano flashback

What about Heat Bending? It's a Sub-Bending Element of Fire used 3 times in the series. Roku, Sozin and Iroh have all used it on screen. At its peak it can turn metal to ash instantly and also has unmatched precision

You forgot an air bending form only Aang possesses: Soundbending.
I saw a theory that kind of explains lava bending and why we don't hear anything about it before Legend of Korra. This theory helps me accept it. To be able to lava bend you have to have a parent from both the fire nation and the earth kingdom and while you might not be able to bend fire as well, fire is still in your blood and you are able to connect with it when it is part of rock. It wasn't until sometime after the 100 year war where interracial marriages became more common. This theory would also help explain why it's so rare, but not unheard of in the time of Korra.
In my opinion, lightning bending was supposed to be an air technique.
Lightning occurrence is more related to weather.
There had to be a fire technique in lava bending.
In lava, it's very hot like fire.
It's still make sense for an earthbender to bend lava. Afterall, lava is just liquid earth. But I would theorise that in order for an earthbender to be able to lavabend, he/she must possessed a minor-fire chi that he/she get through 1 of his/her parents. Like Bolin, who is an earthbender, but has a minor fire pre-disposition chi through her firebending mother.

Doesn't make any sense for it to be an air technique, air benders aren't just weather manipulators. By this logic, air benders should basically just be fire benders because they're lacking a temperature transfer technique. Imo tho, we haven't seen the most dangerous subform of air which is implosion bending, they haven't even suggested it exists.

Aang defeated all hid enemies without having to rely on the past avatars. Yes korras enemies might have been stronger but she had more things at her disposal (bending sub-elements) like energy bending and her friend using magma bending and lightning bending, mate even one of aangs friends wasn't even a bender and was a flippin comedian, yes katara knew blood bending but she pretty much never used it, toph knew metal bending, but she had to learn it herself with instead of people saying it's possible people saying it's impossible. Suki isn't a bender either, not even her and her best warriors could defeat or even put a scratch on azula. And who rivals adults power by themselves? Mako. Hang had to go throw alot with his friends and not just been told what to do. I think we can all agree now aang had to do what he did without help from anyone but his friends really, most of the time tenzin and lin beifong (beifong is a metal bender too, like korra) were there to help them. Also yes I do know aang used roku once to clear an opening for him to run away, but that isn't the same as giving him back his bending. A mere smoke bomb could do the same as what roku did to help aang. Also I know on korras team they have one non bender but she has those glove thingies that unleash strong shocks.

He didn't give korra mastery over everything lol. She was a master of 3 elements in the very first episode. All he did was reopen her chakras and give her her bending back. By doing this she learned energy bending from him and was able to do it to others. That doesn't make him automatically better than her lol. She was 16 years old of course she needs help. Aang literally died in the avatar state. Without katara there would be no avatar anymore. Yall acting like aang learned all the elements and defeated the firelord by himself will never not be hilarious because did we watch the same show? I love both aang and korra equally but you diehard aang fans give him way too much just to put down korra. Both needed plenty of help and that's completely fine. Zuko (as far as I know) couldn't generate lightning, but could redirect it.
Iroh can do both, as seen when he demonstrated lightning to zuko.
I think he has also used it once or twice in the show for combat purposes.

This video just made me realize why Bolin was able to lava bend and not metal bead. It's probably because genetically he is both a fire bender and a earth bender... I guess genetics do have some part in not only what you beand but also what special abilities you can get. So cool. 🤩( Also there is a possibility I'm wrong but just thought it was a cool idea for why he can only lava bend.)
I always thought that Avatar specific bending would be cooler. Like you said Lava Bending would be a combo of Earth and Fire. And how about Steam Bending being Water and Fire. Cloud bending could be Water and Air. Plant Bending would be Water and Earth. Lightning could have been Air and Earth. Invisibility could be Air and Water. I could go on. I think its probably better the way it is giving more characters more options. But, it would be cool to have Avatar Aang and Korra use these various combinations to make them overpowered after mastering the basic four elements. It would give them a logical power creep in later episodes as tools for their success that they have to creatively use in difficult situations. It would be a great way to keep the action exciting and fresh and difficult situations a way to demonstrate creative problem solving. I can already see Sokka brainstorming a plan asking Aang if combining two or three elements to try some sort of creative escape plan.

Let's take lightning for example. In real life lightning has literally nothing to do with fire. It can cause a fire, but here's a literal Google search for a Lightning bolt "In the initial stages of development, air acts as an insulator between the positive and negative charges in the cloud and between the cloud and the ground", hence I combined Air and ground. I suppose adding water as a third element would have made more sense to form the cloud, literally every element except fire makes sense in the real world.
