I would love to do another where it get warmer (with some happier music). If I have the time when the weather is nice. It only takes 60 seconds to get an ok shot of my area.
Brad M Man that's sweet ! I'm lds and actually about to serve a two year mission in calgary, haha maybe one day you'll have me knocking up on your door if you live there. But thats a cool copter! ( I assume that's a quad copter), did you built it yourself or did you buy it? I worked at my school's uav lab, and man the world open up to you with the possibilities eh?
Good Idea. Do some research on a gimbal. It is the mechanized unit that holds the camera steady to the bottom of the phantom. I just did a quick search and found this (Sony AS15 Gimbal on DJI Phantom 1). I would imagine you can get one for your camera that would cost $300-$400. www.multirotorheli.ca -- This is where I got my phantom in Calgary. I would start there.
:):) I looked at the phantom 2 with the camera attached, but didn't read good reviews about the camera. A good gimbal and good POV camera is a must ;) .... What do you use GOPRO Hero silver, black +3???
kcac222 I use the hero 3 black but there is no reason not to go with the silver or white. The black has the remote packaged with it which I don't use with the phantom to prevent signal interference between the control and the phantom. I don't use the wifi app on the go pro either for the same reason.
I really enjoyed your video. Well done.
Excellent presentation. But you should have made it 5 days - starting with the nice warm Sunday before this all came down.

I hated this storm, a tree fell on my car
Sweet Video! Are you LDS??
No sir but I think they are cool.

Nice vids :):) with a DJI Phantom???? Royal Crest and Royal Oak look great.... minus the snow :(:(:(
Thanks! Its a phantom 2!
Thanks for the info :) I'll have to see if my Sony AS100 can be attached to a Phantom, before I spend the money ;)
