I found out about the assassination attempt from my mom on my way back from visiting her and other family in Arizona. Had stopped for the night and got a text from her. It didn't fully hit and had a realization until I made it back to my place Sunday night and had calmed down from the trip. Main emotion I felt caused tears because of Corey's sacrifice protecting his family. I lost my dad at a young age. Tears turned into being pissed, both about people talking about how the shooter shouldn't have missed etc, a brave man dying and the local police and secret service not doing what they should've when people reported a guy with a rifle on the rooftop
