Thanks for another great video. Tubi is a good one for sure. The free services I use the most are Pluto, the Roku Channel, and Dust. It’s a great time to stream with so many free options available!
Great video. Besides the few streaming services I pay for, these free services are also really great. I watch them from my PC laptop connected via HDMI to my 40 inch LCD TV screen. I started out with Pluto TV, then found Tubi, Xumo, Popcorn Flix, and a couple of others. Also found a free CNN, NBC, & weather channel. Whether I get these last ones because I still have Cable internet service, i am not sure. If you dont mind a few ads from time to time while watching these services, I find they are really great.
Thanks! Agreed, those are all fairly decent services. Free, ad-supported networks (FAST) are the fastest growing services in the space currently. They're not perfect, and no one *likes* commercials, but if you don't mind them they can be a great tool to us for cord-cutters to keep costs down.
With Tubi, Pluto, and other free streaming apps on Roku, I am seriously considering dropping Netflix, Hulu, or both. The only thing about the ads on streaming services is that they just pop up at random times, instead of at natural scene breaks. Oh well.
That is certainly a good option, and one that we think is only going to grow in the near future as services add on original content. We're with Space Ghost, add Crackle to that list as they're a good go-to as well.
@@mistertor Yes, they're owned by Sony. I've only seen the first Starship Troopers movie so I'll have to check out Crackle soon. Hopefully the rest are still available.
@@FrugalRules I'd like your view on fubo. I know there's an update having quarterly trials. But now I read somewhere that fubo will go back to its original status. What's the scoop? Fubo's channel line up is perfect for me!
@@lcn325 Great question! The "test" they're running should be ending tomorrow. One of their reps reached out to us with the following quote "We are currently experimenting with quarterly plans to better understand what our customers like. We expect to conclude this particular experiment on February 17." That said, we think the test was their attempt to try and determine ceiling(s) on what subscribers will accept on pricing. They did something similar last year, and pulled it within a few days....leading us to believe it wasn't accepted well. We like the service, generally, but anticipate them raising rates in the future - especially if they *hopefully* add back the Turner networks.
@@FrugalRules YES! I want to check it out as I said before, the channel line up is for me! I am concerned about what's down the road but cable does the same. Full of surprises on our bills. You two are the greatest! 🤩
Tubi is one of my favorite free ad supported streaming, and Freevee is my second favorite. On Tubi I've watched Scooby-doo Where are You (so I could watch the episodes I had missed), Oslwald the Lucky Rabbit and Doctor Who Classic the First Doctor, these last two I've never seen any of!
So CLEAR we have it on our phone as we do NOT pay for Cable TV. Even though our phone is small we STILL get such a CLEAR picture on Tubi as we are watching it. We would recommend EVERYONE to get Tubi & about the commercials just THINK of that as time to get popcorn 🍿 or snack while you are waiting for the return of your show or movie after the commercial. The commercials are also great for a QUICK restroom break😉
Tubi TV is like when you use to go into Blockbuster and you had a certain amount of movies you wanted to rent say for example 3, but you just couldn't figure out what movie to pick for your 3rd one so you just grab something randomly that looks decent from the box cover. That's how I see Tubi TV.
Tubi is awesome! I can even see on Tubi independant movies that I may not see otherwise! There are less ads than obsolete cable! I want to be a cord-cutter until I die!
If you miss the days when you could watch a family movie without having to learn the sexual orientation of 12 year old girls (Prime's Paper Girls) or cartoon characters (Disney's Lightyear) then Tubi might be right up your alley. If you miss those cheesy horror films and some really great horror movies, Tubi has you covered. They might actually have a larger selection of movies than Netflix. Even with the commericals this has been my go to for the last few months. You can actually go on there, pick a random title and start watching and get sucked in. It's the place to watch all of those movies you always meant to watch but never did like in the last few weeks, I've watched A Murder of Crows with Cuba Gooding Jr., The Long Kiss Goodnight with Sam Jackson and Geena Davis, and I started watching Star Kid, which I can't believe I never got around to watching and Blue Steel with Jamie Lee Curtis. If this keeps up I'm going to drop a few more of these services. Next on the block is Showtime. I need Disney+ because I need Marvel and Star Wars, HBO Max is merging with Discovery+ so lets hope they improve but Netflix may get the axe if they don't stop with the stupid political preachy content as well.
I have Tubi and Pluto TV on Xbox 1 Tubi is better on Anime and Sports Documentary variety(they got almost every sports type from soccer to bodybuilding) I loved Foreign Language Films(Japanese,Portuguese,Thai,Chinese,Dutch etc)
Tubi is amazing for free, but.with full service sometimes it's hard to even get through a movie without it constantly not loading properly! You tube free movies will never do this.
What do you think about Tubi or do you have a different favorite free streaming service?
I like it! Good selection and minimal advertising. And the price is right too😉👍

I honestly use Tubi more than Pluto TV mainly because Tubi offers a few live streaming channels that Pluto TV doesn’t have or got rid of.
