Nice run. Love to see the Savage in action 🙂 I've been tempted to buy. It seems like most have problems with it. What a shame 😩 do you have problems with yours?
Thanks, to be fair I haven't used it much since getting it. I replaced the throttle servo, had issues with the second gear change and also the hex's strip easily but they may have resolved a few of these things with the later versions. It's a great truck considering what you get with it 😊 if you got the older one you would have to pay to upgrade to the 17mm hexes etc.
Poor bodyshell, first time always hurts 😆😆 This week i went to my favorite bashing spot with the savage (45min from my house) after 10min i destroyed the plastic spur gear, next day i went back with a RR steel spur gear, throttle servo was dead..... HPI Quality 🤬At least the engine is good 😑
Yeah I was a bit gutted but Its going to happen again 😬. That's really annoying especially when you have to travel so far. These new Savages are not up to the normal HPI standard! 😔
@Tasty B Did these problems occur with the new version? What do you think about the old savage, if im not mistaken from your videos you have (or had) one, whats your opinion on build quality compring the old Savage versus the new gt-6 version. Thanks.
@@robertd4100 Yes, the new one, unfortunately it has its weaknesses, the servos are very bad, the spur gear is made of plastic and will inevitably break, but there are real improvements compared to the previous version, in particular the drive shafts, same as the flux,17mm Hex Hubs, captured hinge pins... It's a tougher version but not perfect
Welcome to the savage club. Head over to page if you need to ask any questions. I’m not expert but Best to educate other with this one. I’ve had mine winds February and in that time I’ve replaced multiple spur gears, dealt with stripped screws, melted exhaust, loose slipper clutch and latest thing to go is the back diff. It’s had 6-7 litres fuel through it and mostly been driven on grass / road.
@@RCWright sorry - not trying to be negative ninny. Mines been a massive let down on the whole. The fleeting smiles and enjoyment doesn’t stack up with the price paid, anger, disappointment and frustration this truck has caused. All the best with it.
That was not a "bash" session. That was a truck being driven back and forth. A bash session is when you are launching it and there is potential for breakage.
Looks like fun. The Hpi Savage is my Favourite Nitro Basher
Nice rip

Very Very nice 🥰🥰🥰🥰
