- Hey guys, so here’s a video where we test the fuel efficiency of the Golf, and this was quite an interesting one to film, the results too are also interesting.
Overall the Golf has solidified itself as the more efficient car compared to my Suzuki Swift, mainly because it travels faster while burning less fuel, and you get a lot more fuel for your buck.
Thanks For Watching

🔥I love this, I recently just got a golf 7.5 R-line. man this car exceeded my expectations. The ride comfort, the power it has and how easy it feels to drive it. I'm 110% happy with my choice.
Also did a long journey twice going and coming back from joburg to Venda, The car had to remind me to take a break because I was just enjoying the experience 😅
Love it man, I’m glad you’re enjoying yours that much😂
Great video bro🤝👏👏❤,your effort is seen and appreciated 👏. The channel is growing and I'm proud of your work 👏, I've been with this channel for years 😀 and I'm smiling seeing how the channel has grown over the years.
Thank you so much, I'll do my best to keep it going 🙏
Brilliant, I was going to ask if you captured some content for this trip, glad you did!
Thanks a lot🙏🏽
Great Great video...I definitely enjoyed it...this Golf is a fuel sipper indeed.
Thank you so much 🙏🏽
The EA211 motor is effortlessly light on fuel. Drove a 1.2TSi highline polo from 2014 to 18. Then the 1.0TSi Highline from 2018 to 2019. They both were fantastic on open roads, more especially the 1.2 since it was manual. At 120kmph i was getting less than 5.5litre/100km
One of the best
I'm now driving a Polo GTi. Le yona it is not bad on open roads. Drove from Polokwane to Midrand today. It gave me 5.7litres/100km.
Only problem with the Gti is that when driven softly it is very efficient. The only problem is sport mode. That thing is thirsty when driven hard
Bro, this is a proper content.👌🔥
Please continue serving us such vlogs where you can. 🔥🙏
Nonetheless, your Golf is very efficient.
Thank you so much 🙏
This was a cool video I enjoyed the road trip driving shots and how you captured the fuel efficiency of the Golf, it was dope, keep it up👌
Golf
Glad you enjoyed it!🙏
@@sivuyilemahamba7765 lol i dunno much about cars i enjoyed watching the video though😂

Really impressive hey🙏🏽
Nice video Mr "Soldier on"😄. quite an efficient vehicle i should say. was the aircon ON during this test or not? just curious
For most of the journey it was off
Nice review brother. I want to take mine to Cape town from Mpumalanga, will revert back after the journey. Danko 👌🏾
Let me know how it goes 🙏
Great video, love this kindah content bro…
Not sure if your Golf has cruise control or not buh on the assumption that it does… Do you think using cruise control for some of the time would make a difference in terms of the fuel economy?? 🤔
Thanks a lot bro…
It does have cruise control the basic type, I don’t think it would make much of a difference…
Great content as always man! Plus 1 sub! Were you doing the trip with the AC on or off though?
For most of the way it was off, it was a cool day at most…
@@embakubmotoring so if it was on you'll be averaging ?? I mean you'll be were below half tank
@@phumlanidollar9748 I was actually driving 140km/h most of the way on N1, the average speed reading is accounting for town driving hence the lower speed…
Yor this is supper fuel efficient
Props to VW their vehicles are quite fuel efficient 😮🎉
I actually wanted a gold 1.0 TSI manual so based on this seems logical to own 😅
Beautiful to watch
I’m glad you enjoyed that🙏🏽
After watching this Review I really got interested in that Model of Golf 7tsi ❤ I can consider that car as trip car love that ❤
I’m glad I could shed some light
Awesome video bruh
🙏🏽
Impressive.. reminds me of 2016 polo 1.2 TSI comfortline
Can you find a scirocco 2.0tsi( does not have to be an R) and try it…
Love this
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Dope video
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
That's super fuel saver, wud wish I can see jetta on this road trip
🙏🙏🙏
Nice video bro keep up the good work, please review for me a Kia cerato koup I think it's a 2015 or 2016 model😭 please
Thanks a lot🙏
I'll try to get one
Impressive!. What was the consumption on the swift for the same/similar distance?
5l/100km
I have been meaning to ask, what do you think about Golf GTD? I see you havent done a review on it or you dont like reviewing diesel cars?
I see them a lot but I’ve never actually experienced one…
But I don’t think as a brand the GTD name worked out, I think most people will always gravitate towards the GTI…
I don’t know, it’s quite an awkward one, I’m sure the engine is punchy with torque but do you approach it as a GTI level car handling wise with just a different engine or does it focus more on ride comfort and efficiency?
Difficult one for sure but I think I prefer a GTI overall…
the golf, is it the 2.0 l ? is it manual or auto?
1.4, DSG…
Can you please do this trip with a golf GTI or GTD if possible
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Please do the golf GTI
Road trip to Cape Town with the golf
I love small cars. What was more interesting is your average speed of 108kmh. Tzaneen to joburg a road I know so well. 😅
Remember I drove in Tzaneen town too, that average includes that, on the N1 I was doing 120-140kmh
Very efficient car, do you think a second hand one would be a good buy for a first time buyer in terms of reliability? Just curious
It depends, gearbox issues can arise even on well maintained cars, but overall it’s good…
My wife and I bought a 2013 MT second hand 1.4 tsi golf from webuycars with a gold status and dekra voucher included. It doesn't feel old at all, very comfortable and fuel efficient. We drove from Polokwane with a full tank to Kuruman Northern Cape which is over 800km and we never refilled at any fuel stations on the way. We spent the whole two weeks doing urban driving with the same fuel we filled from Polokwane, so we can actually drive for around 1000km combined with a full tank.
@@TheManvy give the Golf it’s flowers, I know it’s not a perfect car but man that’s really amazing, shout-out to you guys🙏🏽
Impressive feul consumption
Wow this is the second video im watching of ur golf and its so cool but u should modify it😊
I’m not into modifications
@@embakubmotoring cool which year was yours made
Great content, can we get a city driving on a full tank to empty driving like you'd drive. Not for efficiency content.
Will try that, but I wasn’t driving to save fuel in this video I was driving like I would on a daily basis
Which model?
7
1.4 TSI R-Line
We want Cody!
Cody?😅
