i watched this video for the first time, five years ago, in high school, when i was so depressed and still living with my abuser. i didn’t think i’d graduate at all. i’m now moving on to intermediate japanese classes in college and plan to minor in the subject, all because i found this video so fascinating. i’ve made it so much farther than i ever thought i would, and your videos have played no small part in helping me manage my anxiety enough that i’m able to enjoy life. thank you for this, it is still one of my favorites🩶
Merry Christmas! In my opinion, you may have the best voice of all ASMRtists. Just calm and sleepy, and your accent is amazing. Keep up the awesome work, and thank you for making videos!
Are you done kind of a genius or something you know swedish, can draw and explain maps inside out, create songs, relax and put me to sleep! Wow! God bless you man!
Hey you know what I'm from a little country in the Caribbean called Trinidad. Why don't you do a map on it, it would be such an honor. You normally do dreading on mega countries like Antarctica etc it would truly be awesome if you do one on my home and it the Caribbean at large.

I'm so glad you keep making them, thanks a bunch for it, good night! UPD: I completely forgot that it's almost 2019 now, so MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Since it’s Christmas, I figured I should tell you that the first video I found from you was the Christmas calendar video about 2 years ago. Time flies by fast I guess. Merry Christmas guys :)
Another upload so soon? :D thanks so much! Happy holidays and nice Texas ornament! I live there and it is quite warm here for the winter time :) I bet it is snowing in Sweden, stay warm! ⛄
+ S A D - E G G Yes it's been a nice Christmas, not every year we have snow in December, but this year we have :D And it's been sunny too. The entire November was just grey, and I didn't even noticed if or when sun was up. So now I've found some time and energy to finally work on this channel again, I've really missed it :) Thanks for continuing support. Happy Holidays, hope you have a great time in Texas!
this is literally how i learned the entire first half of hiragana. if you ever make one for katakana…… tag me when you do cause i still can’t get that ish down correctly😂🥺

I’ve been doing Japanese for 10 years! I’m alright at it but not fluent yet. Kanji are best learnt in reading and just everyday life as there are just so many. Recognising the kanji also helps in sentences where there might be just a few. Also sometimes parts of kanji are repeated for other words which confused me for a good year lmao. You’ll enjoy Japanese if you stick to it and have determination.

Hello
Hello
Sometimes I fall asleep to these videos. Other times they make me angry. Can't explain. I wonder what your voice would sound like with a different mic. You said in one of your videos that you don't like whispering ASMR, but you end up whispering a lot, to the point where I can't make out what you're saying unless I turn my laptop speakers all the way up. Then I'll hit an ad and wake back up. Sux. Anyways, I'm rambling. Happy holidays, I guess. I'm angry and relaxed, but I keep coming back. P.S. I do think you should try a different mic. You could get less of a pop sound on your g's and k's and d's and th's. Hell, even your n's pop, but it's probably your accent (but maybe the mic). Anyways, I'm not an expert in such things. Sometimes it's relaxing and other times it makes me angry. I've slammed my laptop shut, but I keep coming back. Less popping, I think. Some words sound like only pops to me. Anyways, I'm not being helpful, and the video is starting to put me to sleep. Yeah, though. If you spoke a bit louder I don't think I'd get pissed off. But I'll watch anyways. Your content is far superior to most ASMR channels. I mean, I'd much rather learn about geography and Japanese than listen to another sexy Skyrim role-play. If there were less pops, though. I'm starting to get pissed again. Gah. Such a strange sensation.
+Nicholas Saulnier Thanks for the feedback, OMG so many suggestions here 😂. Anyway, I’m so glad you keep coming back to my videos. And this is the mic I have at the moment, but i’ll try to think about the plosive sounds and pops in the future. Sorry about the ads, but they’re only at the very beginning of each video, so after the ad, you could turn up the volume I guess, and select not to autoplay next video. Great to hear you like my content and topics!
Somehow this is the only channel where the plosives don't bother me. Still, they're noticeable and I agree that it would boost your quality even further if you could reduce them. I think you can keep the mic but experiment with positioning and maybe a pop filter (could be self-built). For instance, try positioning the mic in a way so that you would never get breath exhalation from your mouth or nose directly on the membranes. You could try pointing it straight at your face, neck, or chest. Even better would be to position it slightly above your nose, angling down towards your mouth or chest. This will also alter the recorded sound of your voice, so experimentation is everything. If you don't want to buy a larger mic stand, try putting some sort of pop filter between your mouth and the mics. Could be as simple as putting a sock or something over the recorder :)
All of that said, your current way of recording with all its idiosyncrasies, positioning your mic like you do to get very close yet stay relaxed, is part of your channel's charm, so I'll keep watching your videos no matter what. Congrats on 25k!
