Very nice BO, seems clean! Small thing i would appreciate a lot would be sort of like a one pager with the build? I am not sure how time consuming this would be but I believe it would add a lot of value :) Keep it up Drongo
If you bring a cow over at 400 food and put all but 2 villagers on the cow at 500 food you can click age up at 2.20~ for a 3:50~ age up, since you start with 100 gold you can buy a cow as soon as possible for it to start fattening up in time for you to send the last group of 5 from the rax, (because of the update)
I just started playing these African civs yesterday. They seem very fun to play with, however, the true test of whether they feel balanced will be when I start playing against them
Do some comparison with other civs/units. I am playing against these 2 civs on hardest (like usual) and they are about 50% ahead of the older civs by the end of the game. I haven't found a way to beat them in Supremacy given even sides.
@@ANSELAbitsxb I think that's historically appropriate. The Hausa were a flash in history while the Ethiopians have been a problem to northern powers since Roman times.
Till you research imported cannons. And add some extra LOS to your culverins using Gunners Quadrant. So that you can send your opponents artillery to the shadow realm. Also their Oromo cav are double classified as heavy cavalry and light cavalry. So they benefit from cavalry Cuirass and from Range Cavalry carocle And their fortress age skirms Neftenya do benefit from Counter Infantry Rifling. Unless you want to research Portuguese Cruasaders in the commerce age for the ports Shadow Teching 40 food 40 wood Cross bows. Who can compliment the Gescenya pretty well since they have similar resource costs. So you don't have to switch up your macro to train them.
Another thing I like to do is to fight really hard treasures with my hero and use the abun to heal him back to full while he builds TP. There’s a treasure on a few of the African maps with two outlaws that gives a ton of resources but leaves your hero at under 100 health. It works out nicely.
So my friend and I have been playing ranked 2v2s for a while now, but we've noticed that after the update (both got the dlc also) we can't join...Just get stuck on the search rank games menu. We've checked to see if there are any fixes and restarting the game seems to ebay the best solution, but its not for US. Anyone else have the same issue.
Maybe, but it seems like the two games are different enough that players might want to play AoE3 and AoE4. Sort of like how some folks play both AoE3 and AoE2 since the two games have very different play styles and all.
@@marnixmaximus3053 Aoe4 appears to be optimized for low end PC's. I think that they are trying to make AoE4 as accessible as possible to pull in as many folks as possible. As they are banking on this being the game that brings new fans to the franchise. While constant expansion packs for AoE2 DE and AoE3 DE keep old fans satisfied They're taking a two track approach. Instead of trying to make an cutting edge beautiful game that would appeal to Age of Empires fans who own good graphic cards.

So you slaughter the cows from the beginning?
Did not know about Big Benny, very useful information! Thank you Drongo!
Great guide. FYI, Gascenya is pronounced with silence of 'c'. So it's [Gasénya]
Where do I train the Carolean?
At the gym

they aren't. tested it for you^^.
Thank you ! A much needed video
Looks like one of the more APM intensive civilizations if i'm not mistaken.
I am not a pro by any means, but I agree based on my own experience.
That means Ethiopia needs a lot of micro managing?
I was trying to follow this but ... looks like they moved Jesuit Influence to the Commerce Age. Damn.
I thought i was listening to skill up for a moment 😂
The Jesuit Influence Card is now Age 2 and not Age 1 anymore, right?
Bro we are waiting for hausa Standard build order also. 💪🏽
I like both new civs still cant pick a fav

Drongo was GET GET GET GET GOT GOT GOT GOT
I love these Tutorials
Its almost like Jan/abus reinvented
I feel like the arsenal is kind of a waste on Ethiopia
The only upgrade you can get is 10% hp on infantry?

10% bonus to hp is still pretty tasty tbf
I’m not that good at this game but I’ve been doing 12/10 with TP instead of this and I like it. Will try your build tho.

1:21 you really do need to be careful with the way you place your bullshit-- uh with your buildings! ahahaha
what mod is it for the small home city deck?
not a mod, its in the settings
It's an option in the UI settings. I found out yesterday after all this time xD
I have had a lot of success with the Dutch against the Africian nations. I have lead scores by a wide margin
I absolutely have not. The Hausa can own u
Sadly a lot of nerfs until now. I hate it.... :(
🎉
Is there a need to make standard Builds for the African civs? They will get balanced over the next few months
I mean if you want to play them now and want to have a decent idea of what a good build might be it's useful enough.
they are very micro-intensive. their tiny farms are annoying. they may get balance but not in the way you think.
Is the video sped up?
Hausa next!

yes mate, and I know a lot of others having the same issue
Hello??? Many of the older civilisations still remain unaddressed, dude?
give him time man
I think he only play civ that interest him and doing good in the tier list.
@@jeromemartel3916 That is unfortunate, if true ... I just wish he does not simply forget about this whole project.
