Hey I don't usually do parts lists pricing links etc because that stuff changes so often and there's a lot of different options for getting them. For instance most of what you need you can get it Jenny's RC but it comes in different bundles with other parts. I did show in the video the part number for the one thing that you actually absolutely need in order to switch bodies and that's the body post kit. Everything else really is optional if you don't mind cutting down your stock foam.
The knipex channel locks are a great plier(the version you have with the smooth jaws is great for external fasteners you don’t want to scratch up) as an electrician by trade all I use it knipex!
Agreed. I have been a mechanic for the last 20 years and I hesitated for a long time to buy any of them due to the cost but they really do make some amazing stuff!
I definitely understand the bank draining effect of expensive tools! I pretty much have everything I need at this point but building up a collection can be very expensive
I found a rusted, battered & well-used knipex channel locks under the hood of a customer's car back when I was a mechanic. It got used & abused, tossed & thrown around since it was a free tool. Didn't know it was a pricey german made tool until I looked it up to buy more. oops...
Yeah it's definitely a straightforward deal. Especially if you don't care about having every single part. In fraction to vendetta can probably be done just by modifying the front body posts and nothing else. Thanks for watching!
Great video buddy.. might have to pick up the vendetta on the cheap and convert it I sold my Infraction 3s mega brushless conversion to buy more r/c and I kinda miss it..
I'd say go for it. The ability to switch back and forth is pretty sweet and I think the 3S infraction is my favorite on road car ever. Often I'll sell stuff when I'm done making videos about them but I think this one's going to be staying in the collection for a while :-) thanks for watching!
Another great video. I have a Kraton 6s v4 and want to try club racing. Not in a position to get a new Truggy. I was wondering could this idea be done with the Kraton and the Tailon? Thanks in advance.
Definitely can be done. I think that there's quite a few things you'd have to swap though. I believe the shocks, towers, body mounts, hubs and a few other bits and pieces are different. Thanks for watching!
I don't have a lot of experience with the fire team. I'm not sure any other Arma body will fit but I have seen people put various pickup truck style bodies on. I think Kevin Talbot actually did that in a video. You might be able to look that up and see what he used.
Yeah it would be pretty straightforward to convert this into any of the 3S vehicles I think. I probably won't be doing that but I am working on a very similar idea for an upcoming video!
Just ordered a Vendetta off Amain for $150. Might do the body swap. But I got the $400 Outcast EXB roller and it is here already. Just grabbed a XlX2 and an 800kv for it this morning from my LHS. And out of 70 or so cars. my old Outcast 8s BLX is still my favorite for bashing, just ahead of my MonsterMaxx.
@@AndrewSury Yeah I don't think they're made in the same factory but have used the surpass motors a bunch in the past and I've only ever had a problem with one of them And that was a DOA. They seem to be pretty well built and plenty powerful. Probably not quite as fancy as hobbywing or Castle but for my money I think they're a good deal
Hello my friend,I’m converting my vendetta over to an infraction do you think it’s necessary I do the side rails?it’s an extra $20 almost on Jenny’s and then need hardware also
The Vendetta body is lower to the ground and longer so The approach and departure angles are a lot shallower on it than they are on the infraction body.
@@DoRC thank you. Would adding aditional spacers to the shock increase chassis clearence? I am ordering vendetta and i want to use it offroad like in the commercial. What would help me to do that?
@atdanylo You can raise it up a little bit by adding preload to the springs but there's not a lot of shock travel and if you end up topping out the shocks at rest it'll really mess up handling cuz there won't be any down travel anymore. Really the best way to increase the off-road capability of the Vendetta would either be to just swap it over to an infraction and then maybe put slightly bigger tires on it or Maybe even cut the bottom off the body on the Vendetta. The reality is that when you have a car that's designed to go very fast it's inherently going to be very bad at going off-road. The Vendetta is designed to go very fast. Often what they show in the videos is not something that you can really practically do. I think off-roading the vendetta is one of those things.
Im doing the same swap right now, the vendetta body is just hideous! Trying to get the back diffuser and just trimming the back of the infraction. Using the vendetta chassis as a high speed car.
its a couple of MPHs off compared to the vendetta, I made custom bottom 3mm abs aero kit that bolts to the bottom to keep out dust and the air at high speeds, version1 work great and version2 is going on the new vendetta when it comes in. Its way better than there 3d printed junk and actually works to keep the car planted.@@DoRC
Once I finalize the design im having a company mass produce them to sell. They make a ton of stuff for the 6s limitless models but not much for these 1/8 size.
Everyone watching this video!!!!!! You can buy the Arrma infraction Mega Resto-Mod for half off until 7/31!!!! Look it up I’m buying this Friday? I’ll post on my channel when I get it🤣🤣🤣
@@FZERO20 definitely not a bad deal although I think getting the Vendetta and the bits to swap it over to the infraction might be better. For around 300 bucks total you can have both :-)
No I don't do links for two reasons. The first one is I don't want people thinking that I'm making money off this stuff which I'm not and the second is that links are constantly changing And if I post a link when the video is created there's a decent chance it's going to be invalid a few months later. This would cause me to be constantly having to chase old videos and update links to maintain their validity which I just don't have the time or honestly inclination to do. Fortunately this does usually very easy to search.
You're like the ChrisFix of RC cars. I like that. Very informative, fun and to the point with demonstrations.
Thanks man I really appreciate it! I enjoyed making this video and glad you're enjoying watching it.
Well done! I just got my parts from Jenny’s this morning. I can’t wait to do the conversion. Thanks for the video
Awesome let me know how it goes!
I was looking for a video to make this change!! Thanks!!!
You're welcome! Glad it came in handy :-) If you enjoy the videos a sub is appreciated.
Just did!! Keep up the great work!
Thanks!!
Love this video. Exactly what I’ve been looking for! Will you please put the part list in the description?

Yeah they are definitely expensive but it's worth it. I've got a bunch of their tools now and don't regret a single thing I've bought from them
Love the video. I’ve been wanting both of these and now I see I can afford both lol. Thanks

Looks good . Make nerf bars out of same foam as bumper. & 15 lbs hook & loop to the chassis side.
You could do that though might be hard to keep the nerf bars stuck to the side of the chassis

I need that wheel hex fix video. I have some 6s backflips I need fixed.
It'll be coming soon :-) be sure to get subscribed so you don't miss it!
Great video!!! i want it the other way around: Infraction 3s with Vendetta body. Is this easy? Any advice?
Yeah you would basically just reverse the parts that you would need to get.
I have a request which Arrma body will fit the fire team and how to put it on. Thank you.
I don't have a lot of experience with the fire team. I'm not sure any other Arma body will fit but I have seen people put various pickup truck style bodies on. I think Kevin Talbot actually did that in a video. You might be able to look that up and see what he used.
Cool man thanks anyways. Yeah, I seen Kevin video there’s really not many options. I just need to face that lol.
Yeah it is a bit of an odd shape. Let me know what you find :-)
that and set of bigrock tires/wheels thing would be off the chain lol
Yeah it would be pretty straightforward to convert this into any of the 3S vehicles I think. I probably won't be doing that but I am working on a very similar idea for an upcoming video!
Looks good and very nice. But I think I’m gonna try it with the vendetta to infraction. The motor is vendetta looks to me better then the infraction.
The brushless infraction and brushless vendetta have the same motor. Were you referring to the brushed infraction?
@@DoRC You’re completely right! Was looking at the brushed version. Sorry, all look so lookalike and with these special prices I got confused 😐.
Yeah to convert the brushed version I believe you would need to get the whole power system including the mod 0.8 gears motor and ESC etc.
@@DoRCyes! Awesome vid! Subbed! Thumbs given and keep it up! Greetings from The Netherlands 🇳🇱
Thank you! Lots more videos coming soon :-)
That's awesome 👍🏻
Absolutely! Can easily switch back and forth to have two different vehicles basically :-) Thanks for watching!
now another question, will these bodies fit a traxxas slash 2wd, was considero on getting one of these bodies or the arrma infraction challenger body
Not sure. You can check the wheel base of this car and the wheelbase of the two wheel drive slash to see how they compare.

Max 5 G2 and a surpass 56112 780 KV
