Well that’s not the point really. The artifact sets have beautiful designs, so from an aesthetic perspective, of course you’d want to match it with the characters. As for her aesthetic choices though, I will remain forever confused.

As an artist, I understand the urge to decorate your characters with matching artifacts. But as a lore buff, I cannot understand some of the artifact choices. Like, why not use Xiao’s friends artifact???

Im not sure if this is true, but my friend once talked about it with me, whose also a xiao main so i believed her due to her being a lore lover. Xiao literally wears pieces of cloth or things from each one of his dead friends. Thats why his outfit is oddly colorful and busy despite him being associated with green. That purple scarf on his waist is a piece of that said friend’s clothing so his artifact set ONLY makes sense for him. i literally benched my xiao until i get that artifact set purely because i just want to have it on him, it feels right
I understand her because that's what I did when I start playing. I just match everyone's aesthetic with artefacts and weapons that looks good with them like it just make sense in my brain until all my friends went full zyox on me 😭

This thoroughly traumatized me, seeing that husk set on kazuha has scarred me for life. But kudos to Feng for building the character the way she wants and not how most theorycrafters tell you how to build them.

depending on the character, that's not hard to do while still making them good. Like he pointed out, most of the characters' best artifacts also match their aesthetic. I personally think Shimenawa's Reminiscence fits Yoimiya far better than gladiator's, and it's easy to farm too since it's in the domain with arguably the most universally good artifact set. Not everyone agrees that the 4 piece Shim is truly yoi's best set-up, but it's certainly one of the best things you can give her, if not, just as good as the best, and it looks perfect on her.

Yeah I'm a fan of aesthetics and enjoy Fashion Impact too. Not to this degree, but still I can understand it. Matching units with the right gliders, weapons etc...But I've also considered putting Yoimiya on 4p Bolide. It really does look perfect on her, but it really is a viable set, esp since a lot would use her with a shield. It's as you said though, who farms it. Especially when Emblem/Shimenawa exist. At least it's in the strongbox now though. So the option is there.
Alot of people play Genshin without giving Artefacts a much of a deeper thought about stats and how they sync with a char, though they still have fun cause they like to run around finding chests and have even some harder fights in the overworld. So play as u like and as it brings u fun, its only a thing what goals u wanna achive and what makes u happy. For weeklys and Instances u can always go CO-OP so nothing to go crazy there. And honestly thats the beauty of Genshin where everyone can play as he/she likes to.
No cap tho Bollide is actually good for yoimiya and it was priginally supposed to be her set both asthetically and lore wise as well not just gameplay because the set talks about a festival in inazuma with fireworks. Not to mention yoimiya loves shields and does normal attack damage so the 4pc is actually good on her

Ok but fr as an artist myself the husk and tenacity set do slap on Kazuha (aesthetically). For Yae Miko's flower I really like the idea of a blue one, I'd personally go with Echoes/Wanderers since it's a softer blue, if she had a 2p atk/em + 2p atk it would still be a good set that doesn't reduce Yae's energy but still matches. But that's just my personal preference anyways
Also it could make for an interesting abyss challenge! Specially if you also needed to match the weapon. Maybe the whole team, too.

Luckily, I no longer suffer like this after I hit AR 45 and learned how to build characters. When friends complain now I just send a guide video their way and leave it at that. I'm not wasting my time trying to teach people who don't want to be taught. People who play like this are the same type of people who don't (and often have the privilege to not have to) value their time or money.
@@angelapeden I don't mind this people that much trying to play their way. My real problem starts when they complain about the game being difficult despite them being the ones to "set" that difficulty.
It's the same about the artifact farming pre and post 45. The game scale well if you progress normally farming purple artifact. The problem is some people realize is not efficient if you are gonna replace soon those and skip steps to save resources but making a bit more difficult in the process. Between my slow progression and deviation back then I could catch on "power lvl" only when I reached on AR55-56 but I know that's a personal problem so I don't blame people that makes guides or against devs.

Actually, it's not a bad idea. For example, if one plays normal atk xiao with that ayato set, it can give big damage, but the playstyle would be really niche. Again, deepwood memories on sucrose is possible is dendro dmg teams like hyperbloom or burgeon team. However, you will need real good stat, I mean god stats to make that functional.
This is my first time watching a non-build guide video of ZyOx and I am confused by the 180⁰ of behaviour from calm to chaotic hahahaha
They're so valid for that actually. I'm pretty low level so with my minimal understanding of artifacts I just do what people tell me and try to get certain stats on there for every character, but I hate how it doesn't match at all.
