    I'm thinking of doing the same, but with bmx handle bars for a bit more height, good video as always.

    I installed a 12cm rise bar and it is working fine. No re wiring needed.

    Good 'how to' but no detail about the bars ...... what size (diameter) are they at the centre clamp ? Do you have a link ? Thanks

    Looks so much better with the new bars. I’m searching for a folding e bike and it’s so confusing with the amount out there. I’m 6ft so I need one that will be comfortable for my height.

      Im 5.8 The bikes fine but the handle bars you may find a little low at 6' You can get the parts to make the higher but its a bit work

      @dragon-rides how would you make the handlebar higher for a 6ft person? Definitely find its an odd riding position.
      Thank you

      Awesome! What do you think would be the maximum rise keeping the original cables?

  • @stashone9780
    @stashone9780 2 года назад

    How much slack was on the cables ? would love to get some higher bars on my M1, I feel like I’m leaning over the handlebars too much as I have the seat quite high

      There's not that much, maybe 2 inches, A lot of people change the handle bars and stem for BMX type and that gives them more reach, but I think you may need to replace some of the cables, if you join this group, there's loads of ideas and info facebook.com/groups/847976069396641

    Hello,
    If I change the handlebar to gain height, what is the maximum height that can be mounted without changing the length of the cables?

    • @dragon-rides
      @dragon-rides  2 года назад +1

      no idea on the max, but I recon about 5cm

    I just got my M21 yesterday, & definitely need to replace the handlebars, way too narrow, what's the replacement size 31.8mm?

    Im looking at putting some 75mm higher bars on my m21 (when it turns up) do you think the cables will be long enough or do you think I might have to buy longer cables?

    • @dragon-rides
      @dragon-rides  2 года назад +1

      I recon you might just get away with 75mm. Id be interested to know if they work ok

    • @maxv77
      @maxv77 2 года назад

      @@dragon-rides I've seen a few putting bmx bars on. But apart from the look I dont see the point as they are still at the same hight as the original bars.
      But I think some a bit wider and higher by 75mm would look good. And unlike fitting the bmx bars. I should still be able to fold them down to transport in the car

      They do look much better than the standard straight fiido bars

      Check the wheel spokes, may need tightening

      I had the same issue on my M21 and it was the wheel spokes. Halfords true'd the wheel for me and it sorted the problem. it's only £10
