Phenomenal trail. Totally up my ally. Technical rocks, slabs , small jumps and drops. No monster climbs , moderate pace and points with some speed. Love it. Great ride
I like your tip about having a lot of weight in your feet on the pedals, but I also think it's important to have strong hands on the bars - a lot of rolls have janky or chunky roll outs or transitions (at least here in New England), and it's important to have strong hands and arms on the bars to control that roll out. Great video
Friggin awesome video man. I just need to get my rear out of this chair after work, go vote, then go hit some trails and practice. Any chance you'll be doing a longer video on hitting drops? I am really interested in your explanation on how to do it without killing myself. EDIT: I dont have an issue with rock rolls. Like you said some are more comfortable doing those then drops. That is the way I am.
Nnnnuts. I listened to you explain and watch you do it: it’s a bit of a chess game having to think 2, 3 steps ahead while keeping the bike rolling/dropping/hopping. No doubt I’d die even while wearing airbags.
Depends on how much is too much for your body suspension. There are more flowy and xc oriented trails that a hardtail would handle just fine. Much of the super chunk is optional so I think a hardtail would be fine.
@@slantedground Videos I've seen seem to focus on the tech sections, which I think would be no problem at all. Wondering about the other 90%, is it mixed, or the whole thing full of rocks that would slowly beat you to death after a few runs?
I rarely lift drops unless I'm coming in too slow and realize I have a gap to clear. In most instances, I stand high, then unweight sinking into the bike off the lip. That can look like I'm popping or pulling off the drop but really it's only body position changing. The arms are loose.

did it look like you lifted on the take off of that drop (left of moss) ?
