Wow your video work has improved almost faster than Miss Mooreland is coming along now. The changes in the house are amazing Frank and Kerri stabilized her, brought her exposure, and saved her. You are picking up the task of bringing her back to life, bringing in the man power, equipment, and construction knowledge needed to safely rebuild her. The progress is fantastic.
Wow, many hands make light work. It's good to see her being permanently shored up from the foundation up. Frank and Kerri kept her from falling down. Now you're building her up.
Your comments about the builders making allowances for the expansion and contraction, and the aspects of the floating areas, might be where Carrie and Frank were puzzling over a problematic area, I think it was the side/back staircase? LOVE the video, will repost and share more now.😊
Thank you! It’s so nice to see your progress each week. I’m relieved that Frank and Kerri found you to take over this huge beautiful home…she is in good hands.
You videography is getting so much better! Still panning a tad fast when walking & talking, but still much improved! 👏👏👏 I'm just glad you're taking us with you as I enjoy this beautiful house so much! 😁🇺🇸
Fantastic video. Absolutely brilliant- I loved watching the work getting down and your explanations of the work being done and work to be done were really informative. Your teams done an amazing job so quickly. You’re right that gun cabinet is spectacular. Thanks for featuring that!
GREAT work ! Keep the attitude realizing how impressive the architectural details are and how you will enjoy them once the structural details are corrected.
This is getting to be fun! What a beautiful cabinet! Love seeing fresh flooring for the beautiful Mrs. Mooreland. Cannot wait to see that nasty plaster come down! Include that in the recording please! 😅😅😅😅
I love this house! So many wonderful details. I have watched this since the very beginning and am so thankful that you care and are dedicated to saving this treasure.
Fantastic progress! Pretty soon you'll be done with the demo in that part of the house and start to building her back - running electric, HVAC, water, drains, etc. That will be cool to see as she's a big old lady and will need everything. Cheers!
Wow. I didn`t realize how rotten that kitchen floor is. That rotten wainscoting on the side of the stairs that you showed was just crumbling in your hand, how are you going to deal with that? Is it all going to have to be replaced or just the part behind the baseboard? It would be a shame to lose it all.
Bravo Zulu Sir, what a huge project Ms. Moreland is. That said what a beautiful house it’s gonna be. Please keep the vids coming. Love to see all the progress.
Thank you for the video update on the flooring on the first floor. Are you finished grading the yard near the house? Last I heard, the slope of the yard moving away from the house was being worked on.
😱this is something you very seldom see in remodeling. It’s called hauling ass. This must be your own crew that’s doing the work for you. Normally they would be standing around scratching their heads/ butts or is it the magic of editing that makes them look good 😂 Great work at this pace you’ll be done in no time. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
You are putting noggins rather than replacing the crisscross things (what are those called??) between the floor joists. That's what I would have done if I were doing that restoration. I really don't understand why the crisscross things were used. I can't imagine that it is any stronger than noggins would be. The only thing that I can think of is maybe it was a way to cut back on the amount of wood used, but you would lose any benefit in the amount of time and energy it would take to make and install the...crisscross truss things...wouldn't you?? Anyway....great progress and thanks for sharing.
…mmm 🤔 My oh My you are making some good progress with pulling this rotting mess together again ! Are you using a laser in hopes to level up the floors perfectly ? Or are you somewhat winging it to make it work out ?
This is the difference. You UNDERSTAND structure. The prior (well meaning) owners did not. Jacking up something not properly structured is futile. Glad to see real progress here,
the prior owners were only about stabilising. They were aware that they could only go so far. I’m not sure if you meant to criticise them but they were always very clear that their priorities were about clearing the yards, stopping vandals from doing more damage and making improvements to stop the water pouring in( roof) guttering etc.
@@craiggillett5985 I've restored over 2 dozen homes and I write comprehensive restoration plans for historic properties. I thought the stone work they did was impressive. Some old homes need stabilization. Others need "triage". This property needed a major infusion of work done and not a drawn out "leisurly stabilization" which led to deterioration in other areas. I had made mention before on their page that they needed to consult an engineer and architect on some things they were doing. There were times it was sheer luck that there wasn't a major collapse in this project and the house could have been lost. I deal with this all the time. People love a house and want to save it, but people have to know their limitations, pocketbook, and what they have to hire others to do. You have to know what is absolute "we have to have this fixed' before we proceed elsewhere". Sometimes like with this house its multiple things and they all need done ASAP and just two people can't do it.. I think the finally realized that and sold it to you. I know they cared about this house.
@@craiggillett5985 I loved what the previous owners did trying to stabilize this old girl but this job is impossible for only two people and I always worried to death about one of them getting hurt! You gotta say they were brave and they lived to tell about it, thank God! If they hadn’t bought this old house the present owner may had never owned and restored this beautiful old home.
@@Sirshackleton agree, they were very brave people taking such a massive project on. They saved it, raised awareness and passed the honour to the next person. Highly commendable

As you get the structure secure and solid, you can begin to appreciate some of the beautiful woodwork that remains. You're making great progress!
Wow, many hands make light work. It's good to see her being permanently shored up from the foundation up.
Frank and Kerri kept her from falling down. Now you're building her up.
It's a huge job, but you are really coming along. Well done.
I knew from the start that house is going to be a monumental task. You are definitely the right person to bring it back to life !
It makes me so happy seeing Miss Mooreland being cleaned up, repaired and on her way to being glorious again! Thank you for caring for her! ❤️
I love old houses and if I were younger I would not quit nagging my husband til we buy one. The oldest I and husband restored was 1928.

It seems the only thing keeping that floor up was the force of habit.

Awesome job Kyle. Perhaps a stupid question. But did you have to pull permits for the renovation? And do you have to deal with inspectors?
How do I find your your Facebook page??
