@@j.tslawnmaintenance31 yah it’s depressing looking back and seeing when America took pride in everything they built in this country now it’s buy from china and charge USA prices. I’m picking up a 10323 and gonna use it for a custom bike I had made
My brother has a newer LB 4-stroke. It's maybe 5 years old, 1/4 acre per week. It's already on it's last legs. About to lose a bearing it sounds like. Good thing he can use my 10401 anytime he wants. It's a shame a top notch symbol of American quality and ingenuity has been reduced to slapping their name and paint on a cookie cutter CPS (Chinese piece of shit). It's a same with all of the old reputable brands. Westinghouse, GE, etc. Nothing but a bunch of garbage.
Great video. I can tell you have a passion! It’s wonderful to see a young person so interested in something mechanical. In the “THROW AWAY” society we live in, I can tell you’re a “fix it” type of guy. I still have my receipt and manual…and I’m still using my 2 cycle model 7035 purchased new on Oct 29, 1986.
Nice! Back in the day I put my Dad's commercial Lawn-Boy and a gas trimmer in the trunk of my car . . . did 22 lawns/week with it (plus his). Old Lawn Boys - Best mowers ever!
Quite a great collection ! I'm 64 and I have never mowed with anything but a 2 cycle Lawn Boy. Right now I'm using a '79 #5247 and I just won't give it up ! It never gives up !
Thanks for the great video. I got my first Lawn Boy in 1967. I would push it to my jobs and push it back home, made for a long day for a kid! Loved my Lawn Boy! Thanks for some good memory‘s!
Great collection. I love the Lawn Boy mowers too. I have a 1997 Silver Series that I use for my lawn. Runs great. Big fan of the chrome handle too. No annoying kill handle/bar. I wish I still had the old 2 stroke that was from the lates 60s or early 70s (color was tan) that I used growing up. Lawn Boys are a blast from the past. They were the only mowers we ever had in my household now and growing up. I like that you use your collection too to get the job done.
I got a ton of lawnboys and my 7262 is my most prized mower. Just picked up a mint 5253 from a old guy and it runs so nice You got a great collection man
Bought a Canadian 5247 a few weeks go in pretty good shape. Did a great job cutting my Urban lawn. My neighbours are going to go full Greta. "How dare you"!!
I am glad you posted this video. I have the same problem with the switch that you talked, about can't figure how to wire it up? I tested the switch and it does turn on & off, but I can't get to work when hooked up. There is a poll on the coil to connect the wire and I assume the other wire is ground? can you help? It's the same model you have, in fact I have the same t one you show , model R7268.
I recently resurrected a 1979 model 7086 21” “JC Penny” LawnBoy that had sat in a barn for nearly 20 years. My first LawnBoy I’ve ever owned and I have no plans of getting rid of it.
Sell me one! My grandpa had one of those two stroke beasts man, and the self propelled was legit too like no safety crap just fold forward and let’s do this and even tho they were like 4hp I swear they wud blow today’s mowers out the water man very cool! Thanks for the video
@@j.tslawnmaintenance31 sure man i have like 20 mowers already but I would really like to get one of the older 2 strokes like the 3rd one in your lineup i think, i got sidetracked but it looked like the one I used to use
Hey I am looking for a new carb for my 1995 lawnboy Model 10301 . I was wondering if you would know where I could find one that will fit it. I have looked many places and cant find any
Nice collection! Only have 2 lol. Used to have a total of 4 lawnboys but I threw away the 4 stroke models cause the transmissions in one of them were bad and so as the decks lol. My 2 current lawnboys are the 2003 10323, and the 2004 10550 duraforce “The show mower” 😉👍
Awesome collection , I have 2 , both were given to me , my son got one of them running & we’ve mowed w/ it , what brand of oil do you use to mix w/ gas , I had some lawnboy oil but I was wondering if some other brand or brands would be ok to use ?
Looks just like mine got one because my grandpa had one when I was a kid he had that thing forever every one always asked what kind it was because he cut so much grass and had it so long
I have a 1992 lawn boy and it's been running for 30 years and it will not die. It does need new rings a new cylinder a new crank bearings but it still runs smooth I don't know how
Nice. Lawn-boys are a unique brand of lawn mowers. I here that there's a "Yellow" version of Lawn-boy called Sabre Edge. I've seen photos on the images of Sabre Edge.
@@j.tslawnmaintenance31 True. The decks are almost the same. Lawn-boy : Green, Toro : Red, and Sabre Edge : Yellow. Btw did/does Lawn-boy make leaf blowers? I know that Lawn-boy made a gas trimmer the 1400.
I just stumbled across the Lawn Boy mowers! Man oh man do they look nice! I am looking to get one because everyone says they are the best! Is there a specific made/model/year I should be looking for? I know they are old so I want to make sure I get the best one possible! Especially if I have to get it shipped many sellers say no returns! So I do not want to get screwed! Any help is much appreciated!
Like your LB collection .....currently rebuilding a model # 10200 that seems to be in great shape......looking for the bagger system any ideas where I could find one??
Anyone want to buy one I got a 6.5 2 stroke commercial grade lawn Boy still has the original blade on it with no Nicks in it.. runs like a good old lawn Boy I have three of them so I'll let one go
He'll yeah good old lawnboy
Damn right!
Good to see other younger people appreciating the classics I’m 33 and have a real passion for 2 stroke and simply when America built stuff to last.
Now they build it to last for less than a year, from my experience

Had the ‘79 with 19” aluminum deck from my dad. Then bought a SilverPro Duraforce in 2003 and used it for 21 years. Just replaced it with an EGO. 👍🏻✌🏻
Nice, love these mowers. Still going strong after so many years. Best engineered mowers. I have 6 now.
Good vedio, keep them going !!
Thank you!
Very nice collection! Love those commercial models!
I love em too. No I just need an m series to finish the collection
Nice video I grew up with Lawn Boy mowers to and I always loved them as a little kid 😁
Me and you both
Nice collection. Your 6258 is a 1978 model.
These mowers are nice, but they're more nice when they're clean

I worked for a landscaper when I was a teenager and his whole fleet of mowers was Lawnboy. I pushed them all day long, 6 days a week.
I don’t use them as a main machine, I use them for small backyards, hills, and trimming
2 stroke baby yeah ❤ love this 🙌🏌️
Hey man, I recommend the SUNOCO non ethanol pump gas ⛽ for your Lawn Boy mowers and don't forget the 32:1 gas mix,Keep up the good work man.

It’s only $60 which is a steal! Good luck!

Those were the best mowers, besides honda. But couldn't go wrong with the 2 cycle F engine.
That’s exactly right
Next time you get a cracked Lawnboy deck contact me, I weld magnesium all the time.
Why are the front wheels staggered?
It throws the grass better and helps a little with scalping on real uneven ground.
My commercial 6461 cuts anything.
They don't exist down south. Trying to cobble one together with random parts and a $40 deck I got off fleecebay
What kind is it?
