Thanks!! Been seriously looking at the FHF sling ourselves with its weight and functionality. Might have to lean a little closer at it, thanks for input.
Hello good sir. I'm a kifaru guy for some time now.. I've always wanted to try stone glacier. I almost did this week but I backed out and went with the new kifaru all carbon fiber Ark frame and the packs to attach and swap out. U said ur ex military I'm surprised or actually wondering why u don't do kifaru and do stone glacier instead. Kifaru is very military like and so many people think their so so comfortable and stable and durable. I'm only a kifaru only guy cuz I wud hate to start all over buying stone glacier set ups. Money!! I'm just interested in ur opinion. Say whatever u want to if u have time and the interest to do so. Thankyou!!
To sum it up, same reason you don't try Stone Glacier, money haha. I just haven't had a chance to try them is all, nor do I have the extra funds to give one a shot then loose on selling it used if it doesn't work out further even is take a chance and sell my Stone Glacier only to find out it isn't the pack for me. Kifaru does make some wicked looking products that I would love to give a shot and I know a few guys that run them. I could go into great depths and cover a few paragraphs on this, but its the little things that matter. This Kuiu pack is a great example, even as I type I have some remorse for selling it actually. The organization is just something that I dream of, however the difference came when I loaded the pack with the exact same kit and food and it did not feel AS GOOD as the SG. To be fair to Kuiu, if it was the first pack I ever tried on that wasn't forced on me, you would probably see me running it right now, but because I could side by side it and feel the difference under my real world loads the SG stood out. If I ever get my hands on a Kifaru, or even a Mystery Ranch for that matter, you will see me conducting the same test, and the same side by side. Best pack wins in my mind and I will happily wear it into the mountains for my next sheep hunt! I did another video, because I did sell this SG pack.. but I picked up another one. I highlight where this pack is lacking, but again comes down to that loaded weight on my back as to why I stick with it. ruclips.net/video/8C8emCE5oyI/видео.htmlsi=LPLTCiN1dDDEHXi7 As for the military gear side, I tend to steer clear actually. Even SG has a military line, call it once bitten twice shy. No the odd thing is military gear is built for the abuse and generally built heavier. When it comes to cutting ounces, non military looking gear generally have an edge. Remember every molle strap adds ounces and ounces equal lbs! Though they would not stand up to being strapped to the outside of a truck rolling through the sand box, they would however work for that 100 days a year back country trips of a lifetime. Hope this helps answer your question... let me know and I can definitely try to further elaborate!
I want to add something to this as you got me looking. That Ark frame looks amazing, but the price of the frame alone (in cdn) is the same price I paid for the whole SG pack and frame. I really need to find one and check it out to compare.
We are sorry :( and thanks for letting us know. Please bear with us as we work out the kinks that come with starting a new endeavor like this. Hope you got something useful out of it at least!?
@@thebakeradventures I'm afraid that I stopped reviewing this due to audio quality, however, I'll give it another try. I do support your videos though, so hoping to catch up on this particular review since I too own the 7800.
@@dc4350 Ya sorry, seems between my editing software and the upload it change dramatically. I am attempting another shot, it's in HD processing now. Thanks for the support 😀
Finally watched the entire video. Great review and will agree that it is an awesome pack, even for my first and only pack. Thanks! - Fellow veteran.
Nice review, I have that pack, spot on with the frustrations, but manageable.
I attached the FHF rifle sling to it, so far no complaints.
Thanks!!

Maybe a kifaru gun bearer for the gun sling issue
Definitely a thought, any experience with them?
Can't hear you..... :(
