  • What an incredible birding filled day at the beautiful Bonamanzi! We added a massive 9 new bird species to our lifer list. Our list is getting so close to 400 species will we make it on this trip? 🤩 We loved our guided birding safari and especially Fred our amazing and very knowledgeable bird guide. Thanks Fred and the rest of the Bonamanzi staff that were so friendly and really helpful!

The ‘yellow bellied greenbul’ is actually a terrestrial brownbul I believe

Love you channel. Please never lose you passion and love of this. Please also don’t be tempted to go the commercial route where it becomes all about getting sponsored etc. Your charm is your sincerity 😀

Amazing video, I'm especially jealous of the Green Malkoha! It's been on my list for a while but alas, it evades me. One small thing, the Yellow-bellied Greenbul at 15:09 is almost definitely a Terrestrial Brownbul - a drab, browny bird with no yellow belly skulking across the forest floor x

Wonderful. While we always enjoyed regular game drives, a bird drive and walk would be cool. You two are so good together.

Hello! I'm a new subscriber, and I've just finished watching all your videos. They are a lot of fun and very educational. I'm from the US, so most of the birds and wildlife you show are completely new. I was wondering if you might do a couple things in your videos? I love that you put a label in the corner for the birds, but sometimes it's a little hard to see. Any chance you could put a small dark rectangle behind it so the words are visible no matter what the background of the video is doing? My other question is whether you might be willing toput similar labels up for the other wildlife, mammals, reptiles, insects, if you know what they are? As I said, I'm from the US, so I often have no idea what I'm seeing and would love to learn. Either way, I love your videos. Thanks for sharing. :) Cheers from Maine, USA. :) Paula

Nog 'n fantastiese video! Kyk volgende keer uit vir die Geelborskanarie onder die doringbome net buite die hoofingang. Ons het hulle daar in die gras gekry.

Really enjoy the videos - well put together. I like how you put the bird names on as well although I think the bird at 15:08 is a Terrestrial Brownbul?

Hi Guys! Thanks for sharing your videos and wildlife experiences in SA! We are planning a future trip and we are learning useful things from your shared experiences. We appreciate your enthusiasm for BOTH the mammals and the birds! Out of curiosity, where did you book this bird drive and how much did it cost with tip? Hope you are both well during the difficult situations in SA.
We got a few (bad) videos of birds and animals on you youtube shorts and vids you might appraciate from the pacific northwest! Jonathan and Tammie
