Can we all sit back and ask ourselves, what really are the issues here? In my take, 1. the question of ELECTORAL JUSTICE is key (siasa mbaya, maisha mbaya!), and 2. the HARD ECONOMIC TIMES WE ALL ARE FACING - how we got there and how to get out of the situation. Did the campaigns over promise just to win? Yes, is that not the norm with our politics? The way things stand, it is really hard to know where the truth stands - who won the last elections? As a citizen, my duty ends at the ballot box and my hope is that the institutions mandated with the counting, tallying and announcing wata ajibika. If we doubt all the institutions - IEBC, Supreme Court - what are we left with? As it is now, how can we ever know who truly won? Who will be the arbiter in our impasse? Are the politicians taking advantage of the desperate situation or are they really having Kenyans interest at heart? We should not mix the 2 issues. If we keep pushing, the powder keg is lit... just waiting to go boom!
