That was very thoughtful and generous of you to share a cold and cough remedy with your Trifate Friends, Tyler and Isaac. You guys make the most honest and unfiltered videos and say what you all have in your hearts. And that’s the very reason why I follow: Filipino Boo and Trifate vlogs. More power to all three of you and hopefully soon to the four of you. That includes your girlfriend of course as she has become a part of your vlogs!

during the hot and humid season, people can get ill from oversweating. especially when you are overheated from outside and then going straight inside a building that is usually air-conditioned. that is usually the case for me anyways.

Be careful of the salt/chicken cube/fish sauce, only add if needed and adjust to taste. The soup must not be salty so you can drink more. Papaya is better just remember to remove the white part where the seeds grow its bitter. Adding chicken liver will also bring deeper taste. You can add lemongrass if you want hint of citrus lemon. It compliments well with ginger taste. Add chili leaves and a whole green chili. Just be careful not to leave the chili or break in the soup for long unless you like hot spicy soup.

Cough ,cold and flu usually occur to people in this kind of weather now in Philippines, when the weather is hot, then it will rain suddenly, that's the time cough or colds are form,so,be sure to take lots of Vitamin C,drink lots of water, and eat citrus fruits like oranges, ponkans, calamansi or lemon,
You extract the juice of the lemon or calamansi, mix with water, and drink, and after a few hours, you will feel better👍👍

Yes, you are doing the right thing in cooking the chicken tinola seungha. It is first sauteed with garlic/onion and ginger, to remove the smell of chicken. Chicken tinola is one of the comfort foods of Filipinos, and it's delicious to eat when the weather is cold or it's raining. It can also be topped with sotanghon to make chicken with sotanghon, it just needs a little more water, because sotanghon absorbs the water. I also hope that you have recovered from your cold. Fighting..

Yay, Seungha, chicken tinola is so good for colds. Plenty of ginger (I put lemon grass, too) if I don't sauté it in garlic and ginger. I put green papaya, pepper leaves, (if I don't use malunggay--moringa) malunggay. Delicious! Chayote squash is great if there is no green papaya. Great job, Seungha! You are so kind cooking for your friends. Take care guys! (I drunk green tea with lemon juice (put some 😂slice of lemon in it, too and took some zinc lozenges for a sudden cold last night. Gone in the morning!)👌

A very authentic tinola is to boil water not fried . After boiling water you will put the ginger onions lemon grass, then the cut up chickens when chicken cooked put the vegetables and yes you can add the packet or cubes of chicken or filipino ingredients for spicies. Take out the black or dark floating in the soup those are from chicken blood.

Vitamin C with Zinc guys. Cough and cold is seasonal here especially when sudden pour of rain. Most Filipinos unlike me are unaware of the need for 500 mg of Vit. C and Zinc in everyday supplement for prevention of cough and cold. Sometimes I take 1000mg. If you guys stay long enough to experience the rainy season which is almost near, the rain will be more frequent and longer in duration. It will be extreme. The hot weather will be as the opposite intense(storms) as the rainy season. The roofs over your heads will be your best friends and umbrellas, raincoats and flood boots.

I got colds 3 weeks ago... I still have a little cough... Haven't had colds since the pandemic began till now... Probably because I don't wear mask in public often nowadays. 😅😳
Another comfort food for me when sick is Arrozcaldo! Almost similar with Tinola but less, sayote/papaya and mallungay/chili leaves. Sauté garlic, onions and lots of ginger then chicken... Brown the skin, add water, bouillon and let it boil. Then Add sticky rice "Malagkit" into the mix. Let it simmer to cook the rice until porridge consistency. Regular Rice can also be used but you need to boil it longer... But there are types of rice that doesn't "porridge" well in time. Get the starchy types for best results. When all is done... You can add fried garlic chips, chilli oil and hard boiled egg in your arrozcaldo! Adding Safflower "Kasuba" on your arrozcaldo is optional... Or Saffron if you can afford it. 🤣😅😳
