I had downloaded the new programmer software about a week ago myself but couldnt figure out how to get it into a language that I could read either haha After seeing this video tonight I compared settings menus from the ATprogrammer and the Programmer to see where the language settings were! haha Thanks for sharing!
Yeah I was going to mention to pull up both and follow the prompts lol, especially when all the usable features are on the non English program, glad it helped and definitely thank you for watching
Confirming this works 👍 I have Autel ms908s pro ii, ordered the xp400 pro, downloaded both programmer files for laptop (had to login on Autel website. The Atprogrammer was same as in vid and in english, but the Programmer file has a user agreement at start that is still in foreign language. Clicked the already highlighted buttons, except selected the upper small dot when the user agreememt window pops up. Everything else is installed automatically and in english. Followed this vid exactly and was able to finally read and reprogram the FRM after reinstalling, with my ms908s pro ii. Two thumbs up.

There is a way now to do it and not needing coding after using the autel. I just put out a video showing this, your 508 should be able to get you done this new way and not need programing/coding here's the link to the video explaining the method: ruclips.net/video/CDX2wWfupow/видео.html
Have you checked the vin after repair? I get different vin from the car i working with, guess they repair the eeprom so you can communicate with frm and then encode it to the car. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, best wishes from Sweden!
I have not checked on this one since I was just practicing, but yes I believe it just gets repaired for it to be able to be coded again for proper vehicle specs, thank you for watching
Hey Lawson, I had the same issue until I realized that the whole time I was searching for it on the Autel site there was a login section. When I got my first Autel scanner I created an account which lets me keep track of the tooling I register with them anytime I buy a new Autel product. So, once you log in. that is when you can go to the downloads section and find the software for the pc. Hope this helps

yes I am pretty sure you can. The only thing is I am not sure if the programmer has to be the pro (xp400pro)

you have to go to autel website and register the xp400 and then you can access the laptop version of the programmer

It can do most of all the same as the 608/508 with the pc, it just isn't strong with key work

Correct, you can use the xp400pro with both and go back and forth with no issues.
i can use 400pro on atel im508 and on personal computer
yes, for pc use you just have to download the programmer off autel's site once you create a user profile login

Mmmh, so the xp400 just as a standalone kit is around $1500 here... interesting. Did not realise the tablet/scantool is not required.
