I made tutu socks for the 1st time using your method because I was so intimidated to make them the traditional way...it was super easy, like your title suggested. I used only 1 yard of tulle & ribbon for 6month size and pulled out the elastic once I finished sewing tulle to sock. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your video it is very helpful I just wish the camera was down alittle more so we can see your hands and the ribbon and tull better.🎀 Oh and love how you used the elastic!
@ 10:44 You said “this piece, you turn backwards”. Which piece, the sock or the ruffle. Do you mean the back of the ruffle or the part where you slit the sock? Which side of the ruffle is facing up towards the ceiling and are you sewing on the inside of the sock (closest to the sewing machine needle plate) or the piece closest to the top of the sewing machine? I hope this makes sense. Thank you so much. I appreciate your help... I have destroyed about 6 pair of socks... LOL
I love love love this video. Could you please tell me how wide the tulle is you used? I remember you saying 3 yards and fold it in half??? Just not the width
I have been seeing ruffle socks for years... never seen this method. But I’m self taught so I encourage ppl to do what works for them. I never use elastic and get the same effect.
Hello doll the video doesnt show you sewing the ribbon on. The camera is too high. Do you think you could redo one with the camera showing the ribbon go on?
Hey love! Happy New Year!! I pretty much just wing it. I use 3 yards of materials and 6 inch elastic for babies, 4 yards for toddlers and 4 to 5 for bigger kids depending on how big they are and 7 inch elastic.
Takeedra Moore I’ve made them without the elastic as well which is the reason I came up with this method. The elastic eliminates the pulling of the thread to bunch. It also eliminates the excessive stretching of the sock while sewing the ruffles into it.
Love this video!! I bought over 30 pairs of ruffle socks for my daughter..Im looking to start making my own! Thank you for being so detailed. How long does it take to make a pair of socks?
I want to try this today. Question, Is there a reason why when sticking the sock back together at the end, you flipped it right side out. Is it ok to see it back together on the inside?
I use the thin fold down socks from Walmart or the Children's Place. One of my friends use regular fold down socks. There's no huge difference other than when you fold down the regular sock, it would be on the wrong side but it still doesn't look bad.

Hi thank you so much for sharing, I hope all is well & Happy new year I’m wondering how I determined the measurements of supplies based on sizes?
Hey love! Happy New Year!! I pretty much just wing it. I use 3 yards of materials and 6 inch elastic for babies, 4 yards for toddlers and 4 to 5 for bigger kids depending on how big they are and 7 inch elastic.
What’s the purpose of the elastic? I do mine without the elastic so I’m curious

What kind of ruler can I use to make sure my tulia is 3 yards and ribbon
Did u use a straight stitch or zig zag when sewing it onto the sock ?
Hi so how much tutu do u use

Awww thank you doll!!

Kala Collins Hey love! Thank you so much for watching❤️ It doesn’t take long at all. 20 to 25 minutes.
Hello, Question, so when you attach to the sock , doyou strech the elastic and sock
Hey love. I'm only stretching the sock a little to even up with the elastic.
Ok thank you so much
Ok cousin 😘
Thanks Cuddy!
I want to try this today. Question,
Is there a reason why when sticking the sock back together at the end, you flipped it right side out. Is it ok to see it back together on the inside?
Yes, so the raw edges would be on the opposite side of the socks.
Where did you find the little sock display?
Ebay
Can you is a regular sock or can we use anyone
I use the thin fold down socks from Walmart or the Children's Place. One of my friends use regular fold down socks. There's no huge difference other than when you fold down the regular sock, it would be on the wrong side but it still doesn't look bad.
How long is the tulle
is both the bobbin and tension is set to 8 or just the tension?
The tension for this particular project is set to the 4. I'm using straight stitch style #8.
