This sounds like exactly the sort of book I would fly through.
I feel the same that it’s kind of a guilty pleasure! The second book is better though in my opinion. The characters start to get so much more depth and they kind of become real people instead of bratty rich kinds if that makes sense? Lol I hope you enjoy it!

Read this last year and also gave it a 4 stars. I just finished the sequel and gave it 4 stars too! It builds on the already established characters and I didn’t feel like it suffered from middle book syndrome. It also read quicker for me than the first. Hope you do a review on that one too!

This reminds me a lot of the main plot of a book called High Rise by J. G. Ballard. Like there's a skyscraper that everyone lives in and everything they need is in this building and the floors are really separated by class and wealth. That one deals more with the class issues I think, but it was pretty interesting, and I think there actually was someone who fell from one of the top floors in it too haha

You had me at Pretty Little Liars & The Selection series! I bought this book so long ago when it first came out, but you just made me want to read it waaaaayyyy sooner than I was anticipating hahah :) I'm all about these amazing guilty pleasure reads!

Uuuuh so far it’s ok for me. I only like 2 characters though , and I can’t rly picture the world they live in. Like does each floor have its own little condo or something? I was tricked by the gossip girl aspect of it. I still think it’s fine and I’ve been reading through it quite fast
I read this book a few weeks ago and I could totally see the appeal in the book but just isn’t for me😫

Except... they literally tell u who falls off the tower in the beginning. They describe her appearance and the 1st time u meet that character the author uses the exact same words

I got vibes from the uglies kind of, the separation of the rich and poor and the way the technology was described. IDK lol
