They make it look so easy.
Usually a bridge pilot takes you through the bridge and hire craft must use him. Private boats can take themselves through and as they do it often, make it look easy.

Beautiful area!
I consider myself very lucky to live here
It's very simple, either you can or can't fit.
I couldn’t agree more
use lube
I thought the same exact thing. Cruise liner Captains are far more experienced than these guys are and no cruise liner is going through that thing no matter how great u are.
Ben Vasilinda sure we can make it, I have a friend on the other side
*Costa Concordia
🤣🤣
Aim at the center and gun it. If you crash, get a smaller boat. Repeat until successful.
😂🛳🚢⛴🛥🚤⛵️🛶😂brilliant. Best comment by far 😀
This has the potential to be the 8ft 11 bridge of the water world.
Piece o cake. Just know your tides. 👍
I'm sure the video showing how amateurs get under Potter Heigham bridge would be much more interesting.
There’s plenty of those already on RUclips 😂😂😂
The trick is, you want to go slow. That way you have less control. It also allows the wind and current to push you around. They are your friends, let them do the work. It uses less fuel.
Or Canadians
Respect.
The last one was pure skill the sailboat with his mask tabernacled had to push the front of it down as it got through pull the back down that was fucking Talent
They go right under it apparent.
Title had me thinking they were gonna jump it or something
I thought it might be more like someone pushing down on the boat, not the typical smartway of building your boat to fit
Nice to see the white mafia still in attendance there. Found it amusing how they would cruise up and down past the berthed boats, then as soon as they saw curtains twitching they'd bang on the hulls with their beaks until you fed them a couple of slices of bread!!
You need to watch the videos on the 11 foot 8 bridge.
Notorious for sure
Sure is 😀
Having a boat that fits is really more of a requirement than being professional, mine barely fits under the last little red iron bridge on the Bure before it becomes the Yare so matter how professional you are you're not getting near Potter Heigham let alone under it. :D
i thought they were going to let some air from out of the tires ... then go thru ... re-inflate on tha other side
😂😂😂
Be really cool if you had any footage of a few boats being handled poorly and careening into the side of the bridge? Or maybe too tall to fit under?

You might like this clip then :-)
I gotta wonder how many masthead lights are on the bottom by that bridge.
Endless amounts. The scratches on the bridge prove it. :(
Could be wrong, but sure looked to me like that mast was dragging the top of the tunnel........
More than likely was 😱⛵️
when the last boat started to go through, I thought "no chance"
:-)
It’s amazing how some of them do get through.

just thought I'd share that with you
:-)
Goes off to get metal detector to start searching for some 😂😂😂
Nice
Thank you
So you just drive under the bridge?
Hire craft need the help of the bridge pilot and private owners can navigate it themselves or use the pilot if they prefer.
The only professionals there were the fellows in the workboat.
I thought that last one was going to 11'8" himself.
I could sit there all day waiting for someone to make a mistake.
I do 😂😂.
It is easy!!
It's not as difficult as many people like to make out, that's for sure.
Am I the only one who thought that sail boat was gonna rip his last off?
No you’re not alone 😂😱⛵️
Rule #1:
Make sure the boat fits.
Haha so true
I need to see amateurs doing it, for comparison purposes
Plenty of videos on RUclips to watch
It's not too difficult as long as you are paying attention. It just requires a little confidence and common sense.
And a boat without too much air draught.
The problem is common sense is very rare ha ha
Rarer than hens teeth 🐔😂
Bloody hell, Bodie and Doyle have let themselves go :-(
Hahahaha
Boaty and Doyle. Lol.
more like Stoaty and Boyle ( tee hee.... see what I did there )
They have since one of them died!!
no that was boyt reynolds who died :-(
Big deal just know your height the bridge height and go dead center don’t have to be somebody special to figure that out, tractor trailers do it every day
sportster1988 First thing I tough of as well. Road beds pretty much stay in place. Between tides and rain water run off that bridge must be interesting.
