Great to see the dogs working. I would love the opportunity to get my working HPRs on a moor. (Not sure about the harsh stud chains used on the dogs though).

Wow! So sad to see English Setters reduced to this? These are incredible dogs and this video did nothing to showcase these incredible dogs😞

This is not anywhere near the perfect work for a pointing dog. Not to mension the lack of pace and style of the dogs.

I appreciate that this is a hunting video but that Irish red and white is assuredly show bred. It's sad really what "we" have done to working dogs. The aforementioned lack of pace by Torbjorn is not too far off the mark. Pace is what makes birds dogs successful on THE most skittish quarry. Slow methodical dogs are too often witness to birds flushed prior to the gun(s) arriving.

At 1.20 you can see that the handler has no idea where the gun is and even ran forward which completely ruined his shot GRRRRRR!!!

At 1.40 classic embarrassing dog handling mistake she could not have been in a more Wrong place!!!

You need American Setter bloodlines badly. Here in the USA we have fantastic English Setters bred for Grouse hunting. Big fast dogs. Not impressed by English Pointers, used in dry desert conditions but useless in cold and snow.

American Setters are not English setters. The entire confirmation is wrong. I think it happened when they introduced the greyhound or saluki.

leave birds of prey alone you can still do this without killing other wildlife

You need an injection of USA Setters! Here they are pure Field dogs and don’t potter around! My Old Hemlock is fast and strong, rigid on point!
Lots of UK Labs and Spaniels here in US but methinks you guys in UK need American Setter/ Pointer blood!

Dogs running in on the birds, the pointers have pinch collars on..time that they were banned,,,train your dogs properly and you dont need a pinch collar...handler was standing in front of the gun...!! that little mess allowed 5 birds to get away...then a pointer gets hold of a grouse...WTF???? not very good really..SUGGEST YOU GET BETTER DOGS AND HANDLERS..
