How are you connecting tge transmission to the shifter? Cables? Wont it shift backwards, like 5th will be 2nd, and 1st will be reverse?

I am welding 2-3 linkages together to make the linkage reach from the transmission to the shifter. I believe that it will shift the same because it will be in the same direction in theory. But I could be wrong. But I think I have it figured out. It will be in the next video so stay tuned for sure!
