    First it was Ben Simmons, then it was Doc, then it was Harden, and then it was Tobias Harris. Embiid is out of excuses and scapegoats and now he’s gonna catch all the heat

    • @Diamondeffect
      @Diamondeffect 19 часов назад +95

      but bro, Tobias Harris was the highest paid player with 0 points in a playoff elimination game, Ben Simmons couldn’t handle the bullying of fans, and you see what Doc has done to the Bucks. Harden was cool to have on the team but the sixers needed Houston Rockets James to be contenders. Not sticking up for Embiid, just stating some facts.

    • @StoicManJustin
      @StoicManJustin 19 часов назад +37

      Ben is still terrible. Doc has always been a terrible coach, and Tobias' stats have been down across the board every single year, and this year is no different. Not saying Embiid isn't the problem right now, but you basically made the worst argument possible.

    The issue with Embiid's injuries is that some of it is quite possibly due to the other issues we always discuss. Obviously, I was never a pro-athlete, but I was in the military in combat arms and then fought amateur MMA for a few years. To maintain yourself at that high level of fitness takes constant and careful work. It's this delicate balancing act of exercising the right way (not too hard, but not too little) and eating right (getting the right nutrients, vitamins, minerals, etc) to keep your body at that high level. When you're younger, you can get away with cheating a lot more. As you get towards 30, your body doesn't compensate as well. If you don't already have those disciplined habits, you're going to struggle in a highly demanding, physical job. Even if you do have good habits, you're going to get hurt eventually and recovery is hard (look at all the ex-grunts and operators that have back/knee/shoulder problems).

He was in Sacramento at the time. Some guys are born great and don't have to work as hard as Webb to be great. And if they win, cool. But if they don't they ok with that too. Crazy the sheer talent, skill, potential of Philly's draft picks in Embiid, Simmons and Fultz but they all have severe mental issues that limit their value. Fultz seemed to have some intense fear or anxiety that crippled him. Summons was completely lazy and unwilling to put the work in to learn new skills, and he was also paper thin sensitivity and shut down completely at the slightest criticism. And Embiid is also lazy and soft and seems to want to sit out as much as possible. I remember him missing multiple playoff games against the Raptors because of some stomach bug (diarrhea 😅). Imagine what Philly could have been if those 3 had normal NBA player brains.
