Dangerous or not, we have to admit the driver of the RS6 is skilled, at least as the officer driver.
I beg to differ, but then again I don't know how it feels with adrenaline flowing and in a panic mode trying to get away, at the track I doubt he would do above average.
That's not really hard, most of them can't drive like a pro I see that here in Germany as well the cops drive like beginners almost especially the ladies.
They're just human after all, not everyone is a skilled driver and i don't think they get any special training for driving.
The psychological aspect has an huge impact. Doesn't matter if German autobahn or some racetrack in Daytona.

2 things puzzle me about videos like this.....
First, what kind of car were the police in because they did well keeping up with an rs6.
Second, why did it take 25km to call off the chase when it was clear within 5 the rs6 wasn’t stopping. Do the police not take any responsibility for encouraging the driver of the rs6 to take bigger and bigger risks? They had the registration details within the first minute and could therefore trace the owner of the car.
Ä polcie should chase down the suspect until he is apprehended, that is their job and duty and are also legally required to do so. He is updating the responsible officer about traffic intensity and as long as the intensity is low it is OK to chase. Things became dicey when he went outside the lane and partly into the ditch and also overtaking at very high speed to the right. Then it WAS called off. Otherwise the pursuit had continued. Bets would be to apprehend him in the car for book him directly and also test the driver for drugs etc.
i guess they had unmarked performance cop car. not completely sure but i would guess thats the case since finland also got some of them on the road
"VATV" (demanding driving control) cars are always at least 250 horsepower and often also four-wheel drive, but there are even more powerful cars among them. that was the description on those cars in finland so my guess is that it was something similiar

4:50 now you want to explain me that he is overtaking all those cars with +130 kmh? it looks more like a difference of 40 kmh
The camera is optmized for things like reading license plats at a large distances, and therefore has a very narrow field of view. In other words, what you see on the screen is far out in front of the car. When the camera indicates that a car is overtaken, the police car is in fact still far behind. That's why you don't get a sense of the speed. With a wide angle lens this footage would be much more dramatic, indeed. The narrow field of view is also the reason why the turns on the access ramps look so unnatural and dizzying.

What you’re calling ABS-Braking at 11:02 has nothing to do with the ABS. You‘d need to see the tires from the side to determine if the ABS had to kick in or not. The flickering of the lights is a safety feature in a lot of newer cards which activates when the deceleration goes over a certain negative G value and just signalizes that the car is decelerating extremely quickly. The theory behind it is that the flashing light draws more attention to it than just a normal brake light.
Rxactly I know that the flashes when brakes are antagen around 100% or so mostly when ABS engages depending on brake size / car / tyres it can be from say 230 km/h ä. But yes I guess they could flicker as well when braking hard even without ABS engaging.
@@gtboard Dude, you seem to have no clue how ABS works. Speed has barely anything to do with the applied ABS level.
Yes of course it has! Do you think it is the same force requireed tp lockup wheels / engage ABS at 100 km7h and at 200 km/h! Its kinetic energy is increased by the square!@@drrubi3944
@@gtboard Told you you have no clue. The force required to lock up a vehicle's wheels during braking is primarily determined by the frictional interaction between the tires and the road surface, rather than the vehicle's speed or momentum. Wheel lock-up occurs when the braking force surpasses the maximum static friction force the tires can generate against the road, a factor that depends on the road condition and the tire's characteristics, not directly on the vehicle's speed. ABS is preventing such lock-ups by dynamically modulating the braking force when it detects a wheel is about to stop rotating, ensuring the vehicle maintains traction and control. This system operates across all braking intensities when the speed is greater than 4 km/h, not just 100% braking force as you stated.
For a car youtuber i expected a bit more technical knowledge about the most basic concepts in modern cars...
Of course the friction matters on ice they do lock up almost at any speed and pressure. I was referign to same friction that is a dry condition of copurse. Speaking of ice the brakes will flicker when ABS engages NOT any deacceleratio nnumber of course. So there you prove my point. @@drrubi3944
Could have caused more problems chasing this car, when I was caught doing just over 30 mph sent on a course and was told if a car speeds past you just let him go and keep well out of his way , same here .
great video - actually surprised how the police managed to keep up with the audi
It isn't that surpricing, given that most of the chase was on roads where it's very hard to pass slow drivers, so the Audi got stuck all the time (the very reason they did cancel the chase, was because the Audi driver forced his way past slow drivers - if they had continued chasing, he would probably have catched up with more slow drivers further ahead and do the same thing again and again - which would make an accident almost certain. For once they actually prioritized safety, instead of enforcing stupid speed limits).
Agree...think is skill driver in rs6 but the police had lights...
you missed the traffic, lol. And the majority of successful outruns that will never be posted in mainstream media
The safest thing to do is let him go. You cannot depend on other road users to act correctly with two cars doing 150+mph weaving around them. Get his number, go to his house and wait for him.
Which they did.
It's not enough here in Sweden. You have to catch the driver when he is driving. Otherwise he can just claim someone else drove the car and refuse to tell who drove it.

Its 100% true,
The volvo that keeps cutting off the cop at the beginning is really pissing me off
It's a civilian cop car and he did not start the siren until the Volvo blocked him. It's possible the cop car didn't even have his lights on(which he should have if he is speeding) and thus the Volvo have no obligation to wait for the cop car to pass before overtaking the trucks.
The speed and trip counter must be fake.No way you passing big truck(+-90km/h) so slow, when your speed is 160km/h.And what car the police is driving that makes 260km/h?
