Main-DPS: Yanqing
Sub-DPS: Misha
Support: Sparkle
Running Yanqing as a Sub-DPS doesn't work well as he's an incredibly greedy preteen. Running him with Misha though, who isn't a very strong DPS, but as a solid freezer with high EHR, can work as an unintentional support for Yanqing and feeds off the constant SP consumption, and Sparkle (preferably S1) feeds continuous Yanqing skill usage and desire to act as soon as possible. Aventurine is most definitely gonna raise this team significant on his release.
Gonna have to try it out! Lock it in and tell Rehoo to build his Misha!
technically misha's ult with E1 is the ultimate with the highest multiplier in the game with a 972% ult... and his e2 gives his ult the ability to def shred... and his E4 makes his 972% a 1,062% ult..... I just realized I sold misha as an objectively better yanqing...
Pela instead of misha is better imo. just run ehr slash break effect. Plus if you have her e6 she shreds ice resistance
@@nab9906The main goal is finding someone who has freeze utility. When it comes to forcing freezes, nobody is better than misha. Pela is still a good support, but we're cooking with this one.

The issue with YanQing is that with the same level of investment, Jingliu, Blade, Dr. Ratio, Acheron, Jingyuan, and Seele all seriously outperform him.

Gave this though Ages Ago. YQ needs a Light Cone that increases Crit Damage by 3% for 1% Crit Rate over 100% and at 300% Crit Damage increases all attacks Damage dealt but ~70% of Wearers Attack.
That requirement will tough to meet on other characters so it'll be Yanqing specific and help is Dps, since he just has Asscheeks Multipliers

You were going through it this vid xD KEK. HERTA SUPREMACY (i actually built this unit day one and put everything into her xD) but I believe in Break Effect YanKing! I joke...its BE Misha actually. Freeze comps are weird but it might be awhile before they fully come into effect. With chars that insist on Freeze with units like Misha with his entire kit and March7 with EHR and SPD out the WAHOO with belobog planars or something, though Gepard works just as well. still something to consider

I too have Yanqing. He's actually my first 5 star. My plan is to build him. However, after watching this, it seems that there's no hope for this character. Though, I still want to see his performance in this comp:
Fire MC w/ 135 SPD and 4K+ def: Taunt and Fire MC's passive shield is enough to protect him.
E4 Hanya w/ ERR and (cogs or DDD): this will let him use ATK boots since Hanya will take care of his speed permanently with additional 60% damage from her ult.
Sparkle: Aside from Hanya's speed buff from her ult, Sparkle will help him do multiple attacks while waiting for Hanya's ult in the first stages of the fight. once Hanya's ult is up, it will be permanent. His crit damage will also be significantly increased.
The goal is to permanently taunt enemies with Fire MC, generate skill points with Hanya and Sparkle to sustain spam Fire MC's taunt and Yanqing's skills, buff Yanqing's damage, and have Yanqing attack as many times as possible.
Hanya's skill + ult is 90%+ damage boost.
Search for a yanqing showcase or two instead. But no, Fire MC shield is not enough
Adventurine, Yanqing, Ting/Ruan, Blackswan is hopefully gonna be my go-to
I admit Yanqing is not great relative to the other DPSes but dual dps set up is just criminal. He is a hypercarry that requires a lot of investment in both himself and his supports to work.
This video is doing him an injustice.
He's a shit hypercarry. The whole point of the video was to see if he could be a sub dps because he's so shit as a hypercarry. He can't, he's trash.
I'll be real here, Yanqing has Ruan Mei and to see Herta do more damage in MOC..... it does not shed a good light on our boy.

The best character for freeze is actually Misha, not to mention he is a good breaker and also lowers def with eidolons, so ruan, misha, gepard and Yanqing sound like a good freeze team but you need effect hit rate on all of them ideally at least minimum 40% or for guaranted 85-90 EHR.
Honestly I think running pan cosmic might better to get also atk out of all that EHR.
Herta does more cuz is AoE, Yanqing is single target so you gotta pump up his speed so he can take multiple turns to achieve similar DPR dmg value. Or you could try abusing him with Advance but Yanqing would be a beast in simulated universe with remembrance.
You should never put a unit like yanqing next to gepard due to the splash dmg. They need to always be in opposite sides of the team.
Lastly you want perma shield from gepard (while his LC its good for the taunt and EHR) but using Fu Xuan's LC might be more viable to heal party (including yanqing) plus the dmg boost and the increased energy to gepard can perma ult. So yanqing doesnt get touched and if he does can eventually heal it off since gepard taunt value is still higher even without his BIS.
Now we need a dps Misha vid just to show up Yanqing
Edit: If the line-up/position order was (Left to right) Blade, Gepard, Ruan Mei, and then Yanqing you'd have the highest chance of Yanqing avoiding getting hit

Saying herta is doing more damage is just wrong. Aoe cumulative damage vs single target damage. Her doing 20k on 3 enemies and him doing 16k on 1. Yes its less overall damage, but its not a fair comparison. And yes hes garbage. And he has to be at 100% hp for his buff
I honestly have this theory that honkai has some bugs when comes to damage and the multipliers actually working. A lot of times the characters are inconsistent even on same trial basis scenarios. It honestly makes no sense. I really think they should go and do a clean up on the code and see if something is going on bc math ain't mathing a lot of the times.
Generally need Lyo to try my account, it’s not god tier but it has a well built Gepard with 135 speed. I fun Jingliu Gepard yanging, mei and it melts for fun. Of course yanging is mostly there for emotional support 😂. Speed tune Gepard is slept on heavy

I've got Yangqing, but given my JingLiu is cracked, I've not bothered building YQ. My JL has 3.2k atk, 150 spd, 38%cr, and 227% cd. I don't see the point in building YQ when I already have such a strong ice DPS.
He's not raised, makes sense. You can see many showcases like Gacha smack's also don't give him sub-dps, give him support, if you want to see damage
i dunno bro. my yanqing ult consistently deal 200k damage with yq, ruanmei, pela, tingyun setup. e1 cruise cone btw

It might be the fact that he's not level 80. I believe damage is reliant on level as well.
I know that this Yanqing is nowhere close to be built, but it only shows how clunky his set is. Besides ult he has same coefficients as Seele, and if ult procs FuA, he has around 20% atk less on that hit. Only real difference in stats are Ascension bonuses (ice DMG Vs crit DMG) which are compensated by soulsteel. So numbers technically are there. Making them work on the other hand is completely different matter.
That being said - Misha and Sparkle sounds like a combo with him that could work. Or maybe in future we could get better freeze support by any chance.
Listen this video was entertaining- BUT JESUS THE MISINFORMATION! You're really making Yanqing out to be such an awful character but you very clearly don't know what you're doing with him. HE IS NOT A SUB DPS, HE IS A HYPERCARRY! Your build is so off, you're so focused on freeze when you really should be focused on stats, you're not using Tingyun??? Why tf not??? And saying Herta does more damage- NO SHE DOESN'T! SHE'S ERUDITION. The damage is taking into account the total damage she deals to all enemies hit, not single targets!!! I'm not saying anybody should build Yanqing over other characters, or that he doesn't have the drawbacks he does, but what you're showing in this video is just wrong. Not to mention- you can't get mad at him for dying to the monkey when you don't play around the fact that the monkey deals more damage with every single hit. Like cmon bro, Yanqing has his problems but this is genuinely undeserved slander.

Gepard with an effect hit rate chest was competing with Yanqing for lowest DPS on the team, so sad.
I just don't get why to put the 2-piece set for the skill damage. It's just better the 12% attack + 12% damage set. He doesn't need that much crit rate. 20% is enough, so he can go up to 300% crit damage. Actually, the differentiator set could be used on him together with his LC. But it's for crazy people. 😅
Gepard should be E1 to make him effectife freezer
Yanauing isn't bad at all. Bro carried me throughout early game until I got Jingliu. Yanquing did good ehile he was my main dps and i had nobody else to do damage. Also not related but yanquing's character desig is awesome compared to the other standard banner characters
Yanqing is way too powerful. Hoyo is keeping us from achieving his true godly potential.

Hot take, don't even use a sustain with yanqing. I used em with some powerpuff shenanigans and the brother ults for 300k+ and follow up with 100k+. that's with err rope. Ult one-shots most elites in the game if talent procs. Also that "dot" he has can crit as a side note so that too does around 50k ish if all buffs align. Now is it worth grinding some rng with aggro ? Not rly. But it's fun seeing a "F tier" unit drop nukes on enemies foreheads every now and then.
Im definitely getting E1 S1Aventurine and put broken kneel on him. That’ll give Aventurine 70% crit damage to himself and 30% crit damage to all allies. My support will also have broken kneel which is another 10% crit damage to the entire team bringing it to 80 for aventurine and 40% crit damage to the team. That would make Yanqing Crit damage even higher.
I plan on also doing this for Himeko and Herta in Pure Fiction. I’ll give Himeko the new Sigonian set for another 40% crit damage 🤣

I hate Yanqing so much. He's already E5 on my account. Only other standard in my account is E0 Welt. Every time I lose 50/50, it's like he's already there waving his hands.
His only issue for me is his skill doesnt do enough to justify his high energy cost. I have him built aswell. Lvl 80 and lvl 9 talents. E0 though. Only good with eidolons and they need to be frozen.
Misha might be the best dps with him.

Well when you are just starting out and you have almost no relics he is good then. Otherwise 4 star dps are better than him. Sushang is better than him once you have decent relics to use.
To be fair, you do a lot less damage to enemies higher level than you. If you had leveled up Yanqing to 80, it would have made a big difference in his damage modifiers because he wouldn't be 20 levels down to the enemy. I am not sure exactly how much that affects overall damage, but it's by *a lot*. Even Acheron would do that sort of damage if you brought her as level 70 into level 90 content. I know this because what you're seeing isn't normal because I used Yanqing to level up my main account as he was the first 5* damage dealer I had, and him critting for 60k+ was very easy for him at level 70 vs monsters more relative to his own level.
Planning to do a mono ice team with Yanqing, Misha, Pela and Gepard, with Yanqing as subdps. I'm desperate for ice damage dealers😅

I just butchered few of my character's build do give one more chance to Yanking (2900 atk, 55 cr and 170 cd on rainbow set with S5 Swordplay, also E2). His traces are lvl 8 + I didn't took few of his expensive stat traces.
In newest MoC 8 2nd half (lvl 85 bug) with Ruan Mei, Tingyun and EHR March 7th (I don't have Gepard) I could only deal 130k maximum and 40k for follow-up. And only once I was able to do it without Ruan Mei's break.
Seeles cone is good for him and all but i think dr. Ratios cone works better. Just gotta run him with freezers and debuffers

I thought that Ice Break doesn’t have any parameters that are affected by Break Effect, so building BE on Ice units is completely useless.

@@Argenta_Rosa Every break has the first two. I thought thawing’s base damage was so low that the post-BE damage is still low, so don’t bother.

With those crit rate and crit dmg states, he doesn’t need more, he needs more atk to get more dmg.
Having 4k atk with 200% crit dmg, is better then 2k with 300% crit dmg.
