As a riding instructor I was nervous about watching this video bc I can be super critical of how a lot of people teach, especially with beginners, but Barbara is such a good instructor and everything she taught was so grounded and good for both the humans and horses 😭
As a rider, this video made me SO HAPPY!! I had to laugh at Becky's intro. Just made me think of Keith saying - horses are a dealbreaker because if a girl loves a horse, she'll never love anything as much as she loves that horse. Can confirm. But, I'd say my love of the TryWives is second to my love of horses.

I actually really like this lady, this is the most simplified version of horses being explained I've ever seen, as someone who has no experience, I really enjoyed this.
She was very nice and calm. I bet she does horse therapy or something with kids, or has. The paint at the very beginning was also such a calm horse, great for beginners. Such a great teacher
Matt and Ariel look so happy being back on a horse! Happy to see the TryWives doing things and sharing passions with each other! MORE TRYWIVES AND FRIENDS VIDEOS!!!
Ariel looks radiant! It is obvious she is so happy returning to this activity. I had to repeat lots of times the part where she was ridding fast. Such a badass! And Matt omggg so handsome and charming.
As a western rider - pleaaase do part 2 where Ariel and Matt learn more about reining and maneuvers 🥰 Looked like they had a lot of fun being back in the saddle
When I started learning some reining and horsemanship after 25 years of (mostly bareback) Dressage, it was a whole new bunch of things to try with my pony to see what she'd respond to. And funny enough, after almost 20 years of trying and mostly failing to get her to stop on a dime the English way, I finally learned how after taking some Western lessons. I really found a lot of value in cross-training, as it were, and a lot of things applied both ways and what I knew or learned from one really improved the other. And it turns out my twerp preferred a kind of hybrid between the two, English turning and Western stopping.
Damn it Ned. What the hell man!!! Like whhhyyyy??? I really hope she is okay I wish her all the happiness in the world and I wish she'll come back again. She is adorable and I love her so much 💗
@@iLuvEeyore in the podcast Zach and Keith have cleared up that if Ariel wishes to return the doors will be open for her. They haven’t blocked Ariel from returning but I’m sure it’s not easy for her return quite yet.

Okay, I basically never comment on peoples videos, but seeing Ariel look so overjoyed in this video was so nice. She always seems like a fairly happy person, don’t get me wrong, but watching her get to come back to a put aside love was just…kind of spiritually healing. Thank y’all for making this video and sharing it with us ❤
Becky (To Matt): You look like a little boy now... a hot little boy Ariel and Maggie: What!? Yup, Keith really should be more worried about Matt than Eugene
Barbaras style of teaching is so wonderful to watch. As a cross-disciplinary horse professional it is so wonderful to see someone really take the time to emphasis all the basics so well, from grooming the horse before and after riding to ensuring space in the gullet for the withers. I am so glad to see leaders in the industry instructing such good foundations!
You can tell this unlocked core memories for Matt and Ariel. They were in their element! Maggie and Becky also did well for beginners and I love how open-minded they were about this experience.
Lol yep! Matt and Ariel both smiling and nodding like it isn’t news to them. My first barn said as a joke, you fall off 6 times before your considered a “real rider” haha
Ariel and Matt are the best at everything. I love them together and I love that we got to see their horseback riding skill! They’re so supportive of each other whereas Eugene and Ned are so competitive. We need a vid of all 4 of them together being the best at everything! Also the impromptu photoshoot with Ned taking the pics is so cute !!!
I NEVER KNEW THAT ARIEL AND MATT WERE HORSE PEOPLE LIKE ME: I for clarification think this is amazing, I also competed and am an English rider, not as good as Matt, but I used to be on a track similar, I still love horses and riding, even more so when my summer job is in the stables! And this made me so happy and proud of my one sport! :)))))
I'm glad you guys enjoyed riding our horses especially mine, Smartee. It makes me happy to know that my horse brought out fun memories. Hope to see more riding videos soon!
I really like Barbara, she is a kind soul and she has an awesome firmness that makes her a badass! And sorry, I gotta say it, Ariel and Matt were soooo sexy while riding lol such confidence! Loved the video!
I recently went on an all day horseback ride with my Dad and a few friends. It was my second time riding a horse and it was not only really fun, but boy did my body ache later on 😣the horse I had trotted so much I thought my butt was going to become a pancake 🥞 We were also riding in the mountains, so lots of ups and downs as well. I think next time I would want to ride on smoother terrain. It was great regardless 🐴
I've ridden a horse once it I thought it was just going to be like muscle aches from the awkward position, but, no, my inner thighs were actually bruised! Like dark purple bruised.
So true! If you havent ever ridden or its been awhile your body can get sore after a good ride. People that havent ever ridden dont know it is a workout for the rider as well.
@@conniecataraestep3255 yea some people just don't realise that it's a workout for you too. I started riding when I was a child but I still remember how sore I was after my first ride.
So happy to see a good representation of what horseback riding videos should be! So many times do I see irresponsible videos posted on nose-to-butt trail rides or where inexperienced people rent horses. THIS is how it should be! Where the horses are treated well and are taught to be respected.
Love love LOVED THIS!! Matt & Ariel's smiles when they let that horse loose! 😁 & Super proud of Becks & Maggie for getting up there! I love my boys but MORE TRY WIVES!!!

I love how you guys did it to match their levels. Instead of Ariel and Matt doing the beginner stuff, both groups got to try new things and practice at their level. It also shows us more than if everyone was doing the same thing
Oh wow, didn't know Ariel and Matt had past horseback riding experience, they did so awesome!!! Love that Becky and Maggie gave it a shot on the smaller horse too. Barbara was an awesome teacher !!!!!! Very patient, lol

I love Ariel's energy in this! I hope she gets to do more of her hobbies or what she loves like horseback riding
And I want Ariel to bring the children out for a lesson...maybe when Finn gets a bit older.
She seems so genuinely happy!!
I loved this for her! We give up so much becoming mums, it's nice to see her get a little of herself back and love it so much
I love that they capture the “messy” part of owning a horse. It’s not just riding. Love Barbara! She is such a great teacher!!!
I love that Ariel is getting more loose in these videos it’s always Becky that’s loose and wild but I think Ariel is coming into her wild side also I LVOE you try guys and Try Wives!
💚💙❤️💜
I love it.
Showing off her inner horse girl!
@@ImATumor5 for real but she grew up and became Horse Women
As someone who’s been around horses their whole life: IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE. I’m so happy rn. Also those pictures turned out so well! Go Samsung, damn lol
i love the new try wives opening!! also inspired by “you look like a hot little boy” i think we need a “the try wives once said” compilation on second try!
That's what I wanted to say
As a riding instructor I was nervous about watching this video bc I can be super critical of how a lot of people teach, especially with beginners, but Barbara is such a good instructor and everything she taught was so grounded and good for both the humans and horses 😭
As a rider, this video made me SO HAPPY!! I had to laugh at Becky's intro. Just made me think of Keith saying - horses are a dealbreaker because if a girl loves a horse, she'll never love anything as much as she loves that horse.
Can confirm.
But, I'd say my love of the TryWives is second to my love of horses.
I thought of the same thing!!! 😂 about Keith saying that, so funny
Can you please tell me in which episode Keith said this? I can't recall exactly
@@praptigargari6029 He's said it a couple times, back in 2015 was one of the first - Buzzfeed "Men answer relationship questions women are too afraid to ask"
@@slkshewolf oh ok thank you so much! That bit is so funny😂
First of all: You really did a good job choosing a lesson stable, this is amazing! With such a big platform it is important that your viewers learn the right way, this stable is the right way.
I actually really like this lady, this is the most simplified version of horses being explained I've ever seen, as someone who has no experience, I really enjoyed this.
Same!!
She was very nice and calm. I bet she does horse therapy or something with kids, or has. The paint at the very beginning was also such a calm horse, great for beginners. Such a great teacher
As a single mom of two seeing Ariel try one of her old hobbies again inspired me to try one of my hobbies I use to love ❤️ btw she looks breathtaking
Also love how Ned comes in as the Business Daddy for the sponsorship ad, LOL. It was perfect.
It felt like a scene in a movie added in reshoots and done with a stunt double.
Id love to see a vid of them english riding!
@@iisabellasays same!!
*Maggie* :“Oh my god, why is her tail doing that?”
*Barbara* :“Because she’s probably farting 😊.” I love Barbara 🤣
As a western rider - pleaaase do part 2 where Ariel and Matt learn more about reining and maneuvers 🥰 Looked like they had a lot of fun being back in the saddle
Yeeees!!!!
She is adorable and I love her so much 💗
I love seeing Matt and Ariel really loosening up in videos and showing more of their personalities its great
Ariel, stay with us please. 🥺 We can call this lil group a different name and not Try Wives. But, stay with us please
what happened with ariel?
@@kaylinmel since Ned is not apart of try guys anymore people are just worried that Ariel won’t be in any more videos either
@@iLuvEeyore in the podcast Zach and Keith have cleared up that if Ariel wishes to return the doors will be open for her. They haven’t blocked Ariel from returning but I’m sure it’s not easy for her return quite yet.
I feel like I need a part 2 of this video with just Matt and Ariel going free with the horses. They looked awesomeeee
Yesssss!
Yes!! They should train and then enter a competition
Please🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽I’m here for the horse girl/boy content lol!!!!!!!!
This lady did it EXACTLY how my teacher back in Alabama did. :) Full horse routine, not just taking them out on trail rides! Glad to know this is still how it's done these days.
That's how I learned about 20 years ago
Ariel and Matt are in heaven ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Becky and Maggie are suffering 💀💀💀💀
Love it
Okay, I basically never comment on peoples videos, but seeing Ariel look so overjoyed in this video was so nice. She always seems like a fairly happy person, don’t get me wrong, but watching her get to come back to a put aside love was just…kind of spiritually healing. Thank y’all for making this video and sharing it with us ❤
Becky (To Matt): You look like a little boy now... a hot little boy
Ariel and Maggie: What!?
Yup, Keith really should be more worried about Matt than Eugene
@Allison Hunter it’s a running joke in their friend group, nothing to be upset about
@Allison Hunter we know that, but Becky is like their adopted wife lmao
@Allison Hunter oh Allison 🤦♀️
@Allison Hunter r/whoosh
@Allison Hunter Oh Allison, are you new here?
That horse they had for the new riders was the sweetest thing. You can tell it's had a lot of beginners on it's back.
going from matt and ariel being pros to becky questioning riding without the lead was so funny
Matt emerging like a19th century cowboy is a sight to behold 🥵
RIGHT
Barbaras style of teaching is so wonderful to watch. As a cross-disciplinary horse professional it is so wonderful to see someone really take the time to emphasis all the basics so well, from grooming the horse before and after riding to ensuring space in the gullet for the withers. I am so glad to see leaders in the industry instructing such good foundations!
The instructor did an amazing job! I loved watching the try wives on the horses😂
You can tell this unlocked core memories for Matt and Ariel. They were in their element!
Maggie and Becky also did well for beginners and I love how open-minded they were about this experience.
9:33 you can REALLY tell who's done riding before and who hasn't by this clip alone ahaha
LOL, yup. That was my favorite.
Lol yep! Matt and Ariel both smiling and nodding like it isn’t news to them.
My first barn said as a joke, you fall off 6 times before your considered a “real rider” haha
@@jillianj310 How many barns do you have? And is it only one that can talk?
I love the juxtaposition of Ariel and Matt who are like horse pros with experience, and Becky and Maggie who aren’t completely sold on horses 💀
Barbara is so caring you can tell she loves what she does
She seems very encouraging. I would love to try horseback riding at her place.
Matt is the Try Partner we didn't know we needed
this is sad, I was hoping ariel will get another horse riding episode since she and matt enjoyed it so much.
Ariel teased this on her IG the other day but I didn't expect it to be so soon! This was so cute!
Yeah, I feel like they only talked about it on their podcast very recently so I wasn't expecting a video so soon lol.
Oh shit didn't know Ariel and Matt knew how to ride horses!!! They even competed that's so cool!!!
Literally watching this at my barn with my horses turned out in the field. My 32 year old horse says you’re doing great 😊
I love the cut between Ariel in a canter and Becky being asked if she wants to try on her own.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed riding our horses especially mine, Smartee. It makes me happy to know that my horse brought out fun memories. Hope to see more riding videos soon!
We can all agree that these videos are never disappointing ❤️
I really like Barbara, she is a kind soul and she has an awesome firmness that makes her a badass! And sorry, I gotta say it, Ariel and Matt were soooo sexy while riding lol such confidence! Loved the video!
I recently went on an all day horseback ride with my Dad and a few friends. It was my second time riding a horse and it was not only really fun, but boy did my body ache later on 😣the horse I had trotted so much I thought my butt was going to become a pancake 🥞
We were also riding in the mountains, so lots of ups and downs as well.
I think next time I would want to ride on smoother terrain. It was great regardless 🐴
Horses are a lot of fun! I'm glad they did this video.
I've ridden a horse once it I thought it was just going to be like muscle aches from the awkward position, but, no, my inner thighs were actually bruised! Like dark purple bruised.
@@sandpiperr ouch!
So true! If you havent ever ridden or its been awhile your body can get sore after a good ride. People that havent ever ridden dont know it is a workout for the rider as well.
@@conniecataraestep3255 yea some people just don't realise that it's a workout for you too. I started riding when I was a child but I still remember how sore I was after my first ride.
i love how this isnt just about jumping on and riding but pre and post care as well as technique and guidelines
I love that the Try Wives have their own video intro now!! Not gonna lie, the original intro is classic but the Try Wives one is EPIC 💛💛💛💛
Ariel girl, know you are so loved here 💖 you are an incredible woman
Lmao they are exact replicas of their significants! Ariel and Matt (ned and eugene) ride like pros; Maggie and Becky (Zach and keith) are nervous but having a good time!!
Ahhhhhh!!! Lmao i NEVER realized that!!!😂
Really wish we could see Eugene reacting to Matt on a horse. Also we really need a video of the try wives watching a compilation of the try guys talking about their partners.
equestrian matt and ariel is something i never knew i needed
Matt and Ariel both immediately changing to the correct diagonal is my favorite thing
I could see in Matt’s face how happy and excited he was. I love horses but I’ve only ridden a handful of times
As a mom of 2 under 2 I got a little emotional when Ariel got “back on the saddle.” All moms know what I mean…I hope she gets to do this more often!
As an equestrian....I'm so happy with this! AHHH Barbra's teaching style is so good!
Eugene wore the same shirt as Matt in the intro for the new without a recipe Boba, they share clothes couple goals so cute lol 🥰😝
I need a Matt v Ariel competition. And all of second try is there and everyone has picked a side with Eugene and Ned be the commentators
They’re literally the same as their partners aren’t they! I’d love to see Ned and Ariel go against Eugene and Matt 😂
We need part 2. Seeing Matt and Ariel riding makes me sooo happy and they look so badass!! 😎😎Need more footage! And Becky and Maggie, I would be on the same boat. Never rode a horse before. 😣
This just makes me want to get back into horse riding 🥰 did it when I was younger and definitely going to get back into it!
Same, I rode all through college as well. It’s been about 7 years since I’ve been on a horse and this made me want to so badly!
The way the music switches between Ariel, matt and becky, Maggie is so freaking funny to me.
Becky's dismount was so cute & funny. When I was in girl scouts our troop went to a horse farm to ride. Sandy was my horse's name.
This was such a FUN shoot!! the whole cast and crew were SUPER fun to spend the day with!! Thanks for visiting us at Ravnesview ranch
I wanna see more of Matt & Ariel’s riding & competition!! I love Eventing!!
As being an equestrian, this is really fun to watch and I love the way Barbra teaches! I ride English and do show jumping! ❤️👍🤣🐴
Matt and Ariel are such professionals! Loved Becky and Maggie’s energy tho! And Ariel should start riding again! She has such good control!😍❤️🥰
I LOVE ARIEL❤
As a “horse girl” I just got so happy and screamed when I say the name of the video!!!!!!!!!
agreed!
I need a part 2 but with english riding instead! Maybe even some small jumps? This made my horse loving self so happy. I miss riding.
I love how Eugene's boyfriend and Ned's wife are the ones who have experience and are the ones who are going to be good at this. Then Keith's wife and Zach's fiancé are the ones who don't want to do this. Absolute perfection!!!
I love the instructor. Doesn’t sugar coat it but also doesn’t add extra fear
I'd love to see equine therapy volunteering from one of the try groups. Not only working with animals but working with and learning about how horses can help people with disabilities would be cool to see
