@togacut - No on the seals. After the PCV was installed and after I installed map 6 I did have some popping, however it was 90% gone and it did depend on bike temperature. The map on the site was rice by nature. What I mean is that it was mapped rich so you would feel the throttle be a little peppier. After Chris Revis Dyno'd the bike and fixed the fuel/air mixer it doesn't pop on deceleration. Dyno result: 77hp/99 torque. Stock results were 66hp/81 torque.

@togacut - unfortunately I had to cancel the past two appointments. Going in on the 11th this week. I'll keep you posted.

@rodger _ yes just moderate gains, but also without an air intake and only slash cuts. Cold intake can give you 12-15 hp and k&n 6 to 8hp. Would bring the bike to mid 80 hp. Not bad overall o error stock :)

Did you delete o2 sensor. Which map did you taken. Because i only find map with slip on vance and hines en orginal filter not for k&n filter

@Yourbassfan - got my PC installed, thanks for the info. Does your bike still backfire and pop on deceleration. Have you had the seals on the intake and throttle bodies replaced yet?

I know this post was a long time ago. I have a 2016 Vaquero. It has an electronic jet kit, I know that is a different brand than power commander but basically the same. I'm the second owner and unfamiliar with the remnants of the upgrades (I still have stock pipes and intake, the jet kit computer appears to be the only thing that remains). I just replaced the battery and now I'm hearing a popping noise. You mentioned "popping". I'm curious to know where you think that is coming from. I haven't road it since yesterday and parked it soon after hearing a popping noise. It is clear things aren't as efficient but I'm not sure what is going on. Is your popping noise coming from the headers like an air/fuel ratio thing?

did you add an O2 sensor to the exhaust to hook up to the PCV?
I am thinking about doing that to mine.

no Jeff I didn't. I knew it was an option, however I felt with a good dyno because of the install of the vance/hines and k/n filter would do the trick. I am interested in it, so if u purchase and it auto changes correctly let me know

+Dennis Bingham. I ran the Auto tune on my 2012 Vaquero and it got rid of the nasty back firing I was having when I ran the oval cobra exhaust.

Hi, I have been down this path with my MY10 Classic. Full VnH, KnN air filter and power commander. Ran terribly till we got it on the Dyno. Significant performance increase measured at rear wheel 65.9 to 76.23 and approx 11% in torque. Moved to a more linear power delivery. Runs a little rich and it's only noticeable If I chop the throttle and get a 'pop' or two. Still getting good fuel consumption. Much more flexible performance overall and a really nice exhaust note. How did you go post Dyno ?

@ Niall, apparently around your results. 77 to 81 in torque and 66 to 77 in hp. no increase or decrease in MPG. Popping near elimination. Usually after a long run at highway speeds may pop once or twice on decel then gone. I did notice that the power commander map was rich which made it responsive that was leaned out now more evenly power distributed.

How was your mpg? I just bought a 12 vaquero, and it has a power commander and VaH pipes on it. I took it out for a ride this past weekend and had a full tank of gas. I made it 53 miles and noticed I had gone well below half a tank of gas. Do you think removing the power commander would fix that problem? Or any suggestions?

So I put the pc-5 on and thought it would help and it did a little. I manipulated the mapping with gas and air values, but just couldn't get rid of the popping. about two years ago thru a vaquero page there was a gentleman from new york (Ivan) that re programs your ECU. it's around 375.00, but well worth it. Look him up!

All I did was increase the percentage @ the zero throttle position. So, increase or decrease your value (in 5% increments) @ zero throttle and see what works for you. I'm currently @ +5% @ the zero throttle position and has help a little. Dyno would eliminate thou :) If you call Dynojet they will tell and send u the same info. Good luck!
