This is Andrew Huberman at his best, not under pressure as a youtuber, just riffing on his knowledge. Awesome. Great podcast guys, you let him talk, chipped in and asked excellent questions, really good.
I can’t thank you guys enough. First heard about Andrew through the Nine Club, and every since, I’ve been constantly watching his content and it has helped improve my life, so I am very grateful for you guys to bring people like him to the podcast.
Me too! Like, what is going on?! Some dude in a sweater talking about sunlight. And so what if I whack off into an old towel before I go to sleep at night?!
Let's get Micky Papa on the show! I asked him about it once and he said 'waiting for that invite'! He's got a great story, overcome lots and such a great humble guy. I doubt he would reach out first, but I know he would make a great guest. I think people would be stoked to learn more about him too. Obviously an absolute master on the board and tons of great skate stories.
GUYS!!! Came here after watching your clip on Instagram. Not a skater, know not a single one of the people mentioned... BUT LOVED THIS *SO* MUCH!!! So on, down to earth. Love you, and love Hubermann (even so much more than before) in this relaxed setting!!!
Huberman is awesome. One of the most interesting, knowledgeable, guys out there. If you listen to him you will benefit, everyone can learn from him, he is so genuine and generous. The fact that he grew up a proper skater is sick. So many people will benefit from him because they listen to 9 club, would probably not have been introduced to him if he didn't skate. Good job, make him a regular.
I really appreciate Andrews practical and non patronising, or preachy approach, instead of just telling you to do better, its like he's actually just handing you some tools, in a friendly way, that will actually help you, without trying to tell you how to live your life.
Bruhhh!? I was re-watching ol episodes wondering when some were going to return, and Andrew is definitely one person I've been waiting for!! Yessssss!!
1:36:04 so so so helpful: 1. Meditation to learn how to (re)focus. [not a good tool for solving problems] 2. Hypnotherapy: rewiring your brain to be less fearful, eliminate insomnia, to harness a practice. Reverie app 10-15 mins David Spiegel. 3. NSDR: fatigue
One of my favourite episodes!! Huberman explains complicated subjects in such an easy to understand manner and relates it to skateboarding so awesomely. Thank you guys for giving us such diverse guests 🧡
I love how great interviewers you guys are. You let Andrew do the talking and you simply ask questions to drive the discussions in different ways. He has time to develop his ideas and you guys listen without interrupting. Great interview once again, thanks.
The 9 Club & Huberman Lab are my favorites. Great to see you both together. Andrew is so smart and I've been working on his morning routine for a bit and it's made a difference in my life.
Glad to see this guy on here. I recently found out about him from an interview with Karl Watson. Haven't watched this episode yet, but I'm 47, and broke my arm skating 9 months ago, and it turned into a condition called CRPS. It's basically where the nerves and brain aren't communicating properly, causing constant nerve pain. As someone who is a brain expert and is familiar with skateboarding, I'm really curious to hear his thoughts about this condition.
Hey, I'm sure your doctor may have brought up TENS units as a treatment, but also look into whether peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) might benefit you (it's case by case for CRPS I'm pretty sure). Even without a doctor you can check out RUclips videos and see if the procedure/lifestyle change (basically managing therapy) suits you. I'm an engineer at a medical company that isn't a player in PNS, but we make similar products for other areas of the body so I have some knowledge.
I love the information heavy episodes that he has on his podcast but I almost like it more when he's a guest and lets loose a little, talks about himself more and just different topics than what he's usually teaching!
Huberman could have started a trend of other guests that grew up skating that have non skating careers or passions to share on the 9 club. Cool direction for the pod IMO
Just saw the entire podcast this man is gift from God. Andrew is something else love you man you change my entire life my mindset my goals everything GOD BLESS YOU!!!!! All of you guys are awesome I really enjoyed!!!
Can always learn something new from hueberman. Thanks again it was a great stop n chat. And I wasn't going to do the Wim Hoff method today but now I am. Thanks for the reminders just how good the cold water is for you.
I can't agree with this more. If your struggling with mental health listen to this. I've only just slipped back into forcing myself to sleep in all day blocking out my eyes with a thick balaclava. Now I'm wide awake at 11pm having panic attacks.
I started listening to Andrew Huberman since I saw him on JRE when he spoke about his skating days. I liked the fact he was a skater and that was all I needed
I wish they would've let him finish telling his list that he has of things he tries to do each day instead of interrupting him! With that being said, this was a great episode and Huberman is awesome. Y'all did a great job of asking him solid questions and letting him flow other than that interruption!
I don’t even skateboard. Listened to the whole thing, just seemed like a whole bunch of chill people having a nice conversation and just shooting the sht while being informative
My Father n Law ...Retired Doctor ...93 years old ..Consider him a good friend ..Father to me ...Listen to Dr.Huberman ..Poimted out just know ...The connection to finger boards and skateboards ..Using the same brainfuntions ..The control center in the brain .. I enjoy a hot then fully cold (in the winter this is unpleasant, in the summer not cold enough) shower every morning, and it makes my days much better.
Here in Italy, our ancient roman ancestors used to do the same...they used cold and hot baths, and went from one to the other..they were called frigidarium and calidarium.
That is so true about the red light I keep one in my bathroom and I keep it on when I go to bed at night so that way when I go to the restroom I don’t have to turn on the light but something about the red light is more soothing than a regular nightlight I highly recommend
This is the first time I watched this channel, and I really enjoyed listening to you all. I've been a huge fan of Andrew Huberman's podcasts for a while now, and now I subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to the next show. 🛹 Also, I didn't know your friend Huberman likes to ride boards. I would love to see that! ❤
Andrew Hubberman is real interesting. But this episode I have came to the thinking that Jerome is the man. In my opinion he is really in touch with being a human; which I can relate to his thinking. Yeah I think Jerome is the man. And I like all the nine club dudes. Much love to all the people watching. I m posting this after half a bottle of vodka. Drunk in other words. Thank You Nine Club. Sincerely from Ireland. 😊❤️
Enjoyed the part about sharing information. I used to own a small cafe in NYC I love giving advice about money and profits and pitfalls and experiences. Most people I work with or have friendly relationships with don’t talk about anything they do and never give advice. I always feel odd for my willingness to share.
SOTY not going to Nyjah is fuckin egregious, man. His part in Shine On is iconic - one of the best 7 minutes of tape I've ever seen. It's Skater of the Decade shit.
True beans, Getting ollies over a small corner on pyramids for example. And repeating these on other types of corners with differing set ups. One dont translate 100% but the flow and focus come in and out. Its all so under the picture thou, especially if youre already warmed up or already very good
If only we all had smartphones like everyone has today. I would surely have some old footage of Andy. Great episode! I might have to dust off the old setup and get some slappies in myself.
I’ve been on the Huberman stack since the first episode he was on, stopped the melatonin and I sleep like a baby now. L-theanine and magnesium L-threonate & sometimes apigenen but I might stop the apigenen I don’t notice a difference for that last one.
This is my favorite podcast of Andrew's. He really took the time to boil down the essentials into a single straightforward episode which took years of research and he's not packaging it into some bs product to sell. I really appreciate everything he says as I've gone through a super healthy phase of my life where I literally did everything he says except wake up early and look at the sun. I did the cold showers weight training running sunshine outdoors time healthy while food diet good sleep no coffee light alcohol good social circles etc. That shit will make you feel like you're on steroids if you do them all (I was accused of taking them). Cool thing is you're just letting your body do what it's supposed to do and not get in it's way. Some of Andrews shows are a bit like drinking water from a firehouse but this podcast is a download keeper.
The topic about being giving is something that destroyed myself and my future.. so be careful with that one. It sapped my energy, and I'm in a hole with nothing to show for it, when my goal was to make the world a better place.

Why I love huberman. He's not telling us to whip our wallets out. Just solid advice
That’s how you know the dude is the real deal. Not doing everything for money and subscriptions
Oh really. Did you know he was a key figure in jack muphies masculinity grift.
He tried it on lex freidman. The man's as fake dirty as everyone else.
