It's not just CoD. It's every game that has the budget of several millions of dollars. Because the cost of producing video games is going up yet the base price of games will remain at $60. So they fuck consumers by releasing day 1 DLC, cut content to save for more DLC, and in some cases In Game stores.
That's why i quit the current generation and went back to the PlayStation 2 era. Ico, Silent hill 2 & 3, the gta series, Resident evil outbreak files, Final fantasy 10-12. Mgs 2 and 3... on and on and on..
Mine did get the RROD, but we were able to send it to Microsoft and they evaluated it, determined it wasn't worth fixing, and sent us a new one, that we received after only a couple of days. I was pleased with how well it was handled.

I think the return policy is different now because of me, but it was like 90 days I think. It wasn't considered a computer so it had the same return time as everything in Walmart. Personally I feel the rise of the DLC deserves a spot on this list. I've nothing against good DLC, but the whole thing has become business now, it's almost as if you're buying an incomplete game upon initial release. And of course there's the 100 dollar 'deluxe edition', and extra perks for pre-order.
OutlawStarkiller I was young when the first fable came out and never even knew about it as a new game. got it and loved it immensely. Lost chapters just made it better. Fable 2 also enjoyed a lot! 3 was decent til you actually became King/Queen than it just shit in your lap and said "Member how good we used to be?" Really wished they would have ran with the open ended return of Jack of blades that they hinted in Fable 2...
I use the 3d on the 3ds for games such as 3d Zelda games. I feel more immersed because it looks a little more like it exists. I even sometimes forget it on. But for games that need precision such as smash I turn it off.

The rhythm games didn't die because they were putting too many out, if anything that made it better. They died out because the licensing fees were so immense, and the profit margin was destroyed by the fact that you didn't have to buy a new controller set with each game. I love the 3D on 3DS. I actually ended up getting a New 3DS XL for the face tracking. I did notice that the 3D was more stable on the original 3DS rather than the XL. Though on New 3DS, it makes no difference because it tracks you.

Honestly, the 3D effect on the 3ds and especially the new 3ds is amazing. Not only does it give you a feeling of depth but it clearly makes the screen feel bigger. I'd say it feels about 30% bigger while not having the slightest disadvantage. Even the graphics/resolution seems better when turning it on, as I'm always shocked at how bad it actually is when I turn it off.

Ok you can be right for the people who lives in the U.S.. But I'm from Europe and I talk from a game perspective and not from a tv perspective. And I use to have a ps4 but I never really liked it. So I bought a Xbox one in stead. And I simply love it. I became a Xbox fanboy when I bought a Xbox 360. I also have a PlayStation 2 and 3. But I bought that ps3 cus it is region free for gaming. And there are a lot of basketball games who never saw the daylight in Europe. Like the NCAA or College hoops titles. I got a few of them and they are simply amazing.

Gonna disagree with you strongly on the Mass Effect 3 thing. As consumers, we have a right to be treated to the same standard of quality that has come to be expected from a series. EA worked the ruination magic once again and denied us that. It's perfectly acceptable to complain and ask them to make it better. You may not think so, but that kind of attitude is what publishers like them want us all to have, and you are part of the problem here. Not to mention that you also seem to have a problem with GamerGate. The less sensible members of the revolt aside, it achieved most of what it set out to, pressuring games journalism (and journalism in general) to live up to the standards we should have always been seeing, and calling out those who would seek to spread lies about sexism/racism/etc in order to deflect criticism on their disappointing behaviour.

the red ring of death can be fixed I fixed it on my original Xbox 360 it can't be fixed on the newer Xbox 360 but all you have to do on the old one is unplug the Xbox for 24 hours and it's fixed

Zach G It's a hardware failure. Whenever a piece of hardware failed, you'd get three red lights around the power button. It was fatal to the system and you'd have to send it to Microsoft to get it repaired.

3D on the New 3DS works amazingly, I always keep it on. It actually does make the games feel better (since it actually works now) imo.

I always have it on half, enough 3D for the cool effect, but not too much that it hurts your eyes :D I love it too, especially the little drawing app that uses the 3D option
once the new 3ds came out, the 3d actually became useful and fun to use

The games that looked better than most games with 3d (imo) is Ocarina of time, & Majora's mask. I just love how everything looks.

It's not just CoD. It's every game that has the budget of several millions of dollars. Because the cost of producing video games is going up yet the base price of games will remain at $60. So they fuck consumers by releasing day 1 DLC, cut content to save for more DLC, and in some cases In Game stores.
That's why i quit the current generation and went back to the PlayStation 2 era. Ico, Silent hill 2 & 3, the gta series, Resident evil outbreak files, Final fantasy 10-12. Mgs 2 and 3... on and on and on..

Mine did get the RROD, but we were able to send it to Microsoft and they evaluated it, determined it wasn't worth fixing, and sent us a new one, that we received after only a couple of days. I was pleased with how well it was handled.

But you also have more people complaining, an easier way to complain (the internet), a more diverse and harder to please audience, and gaming as a whole shifting from making great games, to making profitable games. With dlc, microtransactions, parts ripped from the game to be sold to us later, games put out early, glitched or just lacking content and depth. etc.

I think the return policy is different now because of me, but it was like 90 days I think. It wasn't considered a computer so it had the same return time as everything in Walmart. I know a few return managers seemed pissed, most employees didn't care.
Personally I feel the rise of the DLC deserves a spot on this list. I've nothing against good DLC, but the whole thing has become business now, it's almost as if you're buying an incomplete game upon initial release. And of course there's the 100 dollar 'deluxe edition', and extra perks for pre-order.

Really wished they would have ran with the open ended return of Jack of blades that they hinted in Fable 2...

I use the 3d on the 3ds for games such as 3d Zelda games. I feel more immersed because it looks a little more like it exists. I even sometimes forget it on. But for games that need precision such as smash I turn it off.

The rhythm games didn't die because they were putting too many out, if anything that made it better. They died out because the licensing fees were so immense, and the profit margin was destroyed by the fact that you didn't have to buy a new controller set with each game. The games started costing more money to use the songs than they were making in sales.

new 3ds 3D is pretty legit tho with the right games. I'm talking Zelda, Luigi's Mansion... trick is not every art style will look good in 3d (look at Xenoblade 3ds), so defence to take that into consideration and not all do.

I love the 3D on 3DS. I actually ended up getting a New 3DS XL for the face tracking. I did notice that the 3D was more stable on the original 3DS rather than the XL. Though on New 3DS, it makes no difference because it tracks you.

Honestly, the 3D effect on the 3ds and especially the new 3ds is amazing. Not only does it give you a feeling of depth but it clearly makes the screen feel bigger. I'd say it feels about 30% bigger while not having the slightest disadvantage. Even the graphics/resolution seems better when turning it on, as I'm always shocked at how bad it actually is when I turn it off.

I like the Xbox one more then the crappie ps4.
Ok you can be right for the people who lives in the U.S.. But I'm from Europe and I talk from a game perspective and not from a tv perspective. And I use to have a ps4 but I never really liked it. So I bought a Xbox one in stead. And I simply love it. I became a Xbox fanboy when I bought a Xbox 360. I also have a PlayStation 2 and 3. But I bought that ps3 cus it is region free for gaming. And there are a lot of basketball games who never saw the daylight in Europe. Like the NCAA or College hoops titles. I got a few of them and they are simply amazing.
PS3 ironically cheapest option to have a bluray player. Also no Ouya?

Yeah, I love it. I really don't understand why more people don't like it. When they revealed it I was super stoked, and when the screenshots for Ocarina of Time 3D were shown, that was all I needed to know I was going to buy one.

nah xbox one is worse. paying $300 for a console in 2016 when half its games run at 720p and 95% of said games are also on PC. with a grand total of 2 exclusives. halo 5 and Sunset overdrive. what a joke

Gonna disagree with you strongly on the Mass Effect 3 thing. As consumers, we have a right to be treated to the same standard of quality that has come to be expected from a series. EA worked the ruination magic once again and denied us that. It's perfectly acceptable to complain and ask them to make it better. You may not think so, but that kind of attitude is what publishers like them want us all to have, and you are part of the problem here.
Not to mention that you also seem to have a problem with GamerGate. The less sensible members of the revolt aside, it achieved most of what it set out to, pressuring games journalism (and journalism in general) to live up to the standards we should have always been seeing, and calling out those who would seek to spread lies about sexism/racism/etc in order to deflect criticism on their disappointing behaviour.

the red ring of death can be fixed I fixed it on my original Xbox 360 it can't be fixed on the newer Xbox 360 but all you have to do on the old one is unplug the Xbox for 24 hours and it's fixed
