Hi Elizabeth! I actually do it a bit differently now hon. I used felt as the backing and layered my ties across the top and bottom portion and then layered my lace over top so I could tie it in the back. I think I prefer it over the Velcro. 💕🤗 I hope this helps. xoxo ~Jenifer

I will be making one of these. I won't use velcro because I refill my bottle using a bigger bottle. I saves money that way. I am trying to use my glue gun more on projects but you still need fabric glue... I love the idea... :)
So beautifully done, just like the olden days when the ladies would decorate their items like this & I’ve seen some Indonesian crafters do this, but none that looked as beautiful, vintage & shabby chic as yours, so if I were you, I would definitely check to see if you are the 1st to publicize yours & if so, give it your name & fast because I watch a lot of different crafters here on RUclips, Instagram, etc. & the majority of the crafters are stealing other crafters ideas & putting their name to it or taking credit for it, which is so not right, but I’ve learned by watching all these different crafters that there’s nasty, negative & down right mean people in the crafting community as well as everywhere else, so please check it out before someone steals your idea. If I get to make one & video it, I will definitely call it the Jenifer Stephens Glue Bottle Cover because it was yours that I kept admiring & I was so very excited when you made the tutorial video for it...YAY!!! Hi Lily. I love your name :) Actually Jeanette (Mi Cottage Crafts) decorated her glue bottle years and years ago. She used book pages I believe and inspired me to decorate mine. I think we are all here just to inspire. I don't need credit for anything, but if someone inspires me it's always kind to let them know. I just love to create and share my work with others. ATraceofSparkle Hi Jenifer & thank you so much...I was named after both of my grandmothers by my dad, my mom didn’t want that, so as soon as I was born she nicknamed me “Penny”, which is mostly what I went by my whole life until I decided to start completely over after my 2nd husband assaulted me in front of our special needs son & I will never forget that look on our son’s face, who immediately also stopped speaking to his father, so I divorced him. My 1st husband also abused me mentally & physically, cheated on me constantly, he took my paycheck after I paid the sitter as well as his to spend on his female/females of the week, didn’t pay the bills or put food, clothing, etc. in the house & he’s still doing everything humanly possible to hurt me just like my 2nd husband. Anyway, I to love your name & that’s what my only daughter’s name is, it was a name I had loved since I was very little, but I only had her for about an hr. before she was called to Heaven & my 1st husband & his mother were the cause of that because they were supposed to take care of the 2 boys until my mom got here from out-of-state due to me being on complete bedrest except to go to the bathroom, which was on the same floor, but my husband was too busy staying out all night after work partying with whatever female he was sleeping with & his mother didn’t show up until several hr.’s after I had called her to take me to the hospital because I wasn’t feeling well, but she was in one of her moods, so my baby girl paid the ultimate price & at my baby girls funeral, my 1st husbands mother separated her side of the family from mine & she had also tried to have my baby that I gave birth to, discarded at the hospital like trash, but thank goodness for the staff that had witnessed everything for days & they stepped in & told my 1st husband & his mother that I, his mother would be making the decision, not them, so with my families financial help, I was able to bury my baby girl, but he put his name on the paperwork for the plot that my mom & dad gave me for their granddaughter & I can’t do anything w/o his permission unless I pay of the debt he owes for it, which I hope to do one day because she doesn’t even have a grave stone. Both of my ex-husbands & my 1st husbands mother were all diagnosed with some really bad anger issues, plus other family, friends, etc., so I steer clear of people like that now & I learned how not to be that quiet, shy person who didn’t stand up for herself because I’ve had to be my youngest son’s voice, who thankfully is like me & not his father...🙂👍🏻! LOL Sorry for the long message, but it’s also for awareness of domestic abuse, child abuse & autism. I repeatedly checked on google, which you can find everything & RUclips for anyone else doing a diy for the bottle covers, reusable bottle covers, replaceable bottle covers, then I went onto diy reusable fabric bottle cover, etc., then reusable, replaceable, Fabri-Tac, etc. diy fabric glue bottle covers, any way it could be phrased & there was absolutely nothing, so you may want to speak with the other crafters to see if she wants to patent that by putting her name on it, beings you said that she was the 1st & one of you two or both deserve that recognition & I know that you do serve it with the covers that you’ve made & I haven’t seen the other crafters version, but I’m looking for hopefully a video for it...🙂. Maybe that’ll be my very 1st RUclips video, to make my version of the Mi Cottage & Jenifer Stephens crafty glue bottle reusable & replaceable cover...😉😊👍🏻.

Tip for cutting velcro, use ruler, exacto knife, and cutting mat or glass mat.
