Is it just me, or does it seem like the SBC elite are playing a game of one-upmanship, where each of them is striving to show they are the most woke in the SBC?
Clearly this man has not studied church history or he would be giving praise for the many Christians who suffered abuse and persecution because they fought for justice and to bring salvation to the oppressed.
i think it's pretty clear he has not studied theology either. It's easy, when you explicitly or effectually deny Christ in your ministry, because you got the whole Old Testament to beat over people's head. His arrogance is astounding and the Bible is his hammer, not his compass.
God doesn’t call it privilege. He calls it blessing and it isn’t a sin. In our modern age the oppressed are more often than not oppressed by their own bondage to sin. So the call should be for repentance to the sinner. Where the Church is failing is in NOT doing such. Like this past summer when people were rioting, looting, full of rage and violence. Where were the calls for repentance on part of those people doing such?? It was non existent. Instead we told it was all our fault and we are the ones in sin. Mr Grear you have a lot to repent for preaching this garbage.
Sooooo… my belief, in my heart and mind, is considered privilege? I didn’t know beliefs render someone “privileged”. The underground church in China believes the same thing I believe in concerning gender because….it’s in the Bible…
What awful preaching! Slapping verses on top of your social justice narrative to try to validate it. He used Deuteronomy 10:18 and Judges 5:23 to actually accuse Christians in general of being complicit because of their "silence," yet he gives no specifics about which Christians, which churches, or which pastors were doing this. And then he starts talking about privilege as if it were an inherit sin. This is the you-are-guilty-by-default-if-the-melanin-in-your-skin-makes-you-lighter-or-you-have-more-resources-than-others narrative. This is actually trying to turn the glorious gospel to another gospel (which Galatians 1:6-9 warns against). This other gospel is that you're not truly a Christian if you don't practice social justice the way I dictate. And what is that social justice gospel? It is perceived guilt for racism due to your skin color; it is being complicit even if you didn't do anything; it's being responsible for past sins that you didn't do; it is dividing your churches using the adjectives of "white" and "black," where all the "white" people are inherit sinners of racism and all "black" people are victims (no matter their own personal sins). This fake gospel brings disunity to the church. This disunity defies our unity in Christ found in Galatians 3:28, Colossians 3:11, Ephesians 4:4-6, and 1 Corinthians 12:12-27. This disunity is rooted in worldly ideas (spoken against in Colossians 2:8) instead of the God-breathed, sufficient Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). This disunity thrives on getting stuff, which is covetousness. Coveting not only violates the 10th Commandment (Exodus 20:17), the scripture says those that are covetous are idolaters and those that practice covetousness practices idolatry (Ephesians 5:5, Colossians 3:5). In fact, Hebrews 13:5 tells us our way of life should be devoid of covetousness because we should be content due to God never leaving us or forsaking us. This is shameful and Christians that are falling for this madness need to repent and stop.
He condemns dead men for not standing up for the injustices of their times however, I wonder exactly how much this "Pastor" is currently doing to fight the current injustice in culture today such as: abortion, gay "marriage," child endangerment through genital mutilation (transgender movement), etc. The problem with wokism is that it focuses only on calling out the sins of men in the past through slander but it falls to act on actual sinful atrocities that are currently taking place. These men are hypocrites at their core!
Why would you need to forgive someone when you were not even there? That makes no sense. We don't forgive someone on behalf of our ancestors. That is not biblical.

" "Every time you see the word 'Jew' in this chapter just substitute 'religious person' for that because that is who Paul is really talking about here." This is SO wrong! The Roman empire was oppressive wasnt it. So many thought the messiah would come for their version of social justice then also. Your right. This man is a heretic. He also preaches that we should whisper about sexual sin as God does and tell about the sin God yells about. I mean where does he get that from. Sin is sin to God and some sexual sins are called abominations by God. Also that it's a sin against your own body. How is such language whispering. God warned about such preachers and teachers as this. The Methodist Church has the same kind of thing. What's interesting is that the United African Methodist Church from Africa holds the votes that have prevented gay pastors from being accepted by the Church. The left calls preaching the truth hate when actually its love. God is love. How can he be hate. He hates sin that's one sure.
