My husband and I have been married 33.5 years 🤪Marriage is HARD. It's rewarding and often fun, but it's WORK to keep it healthy. Especially when you've got kids. When they're little, they're super cute and exhausting, but when they get to MS, HS, into adulthood 💩gets REAL. So good you're in therapy now before things get out of control. Being married you just go through SO much over time. Things you never expected would happen actually happen. It can either break you or pull you closer. There are times when you want to give up, but don't. You married each other for a reason. You're both so sweet, and you have the cutest kids. Your family is too precious to let go of each other in the hard times! Blessings!❤

If you love your person. Be willing to do the work needed to make the love last. Love ebbs and flows. Passion ebbs and flows. Be willing to take on those life challenges together.
The only key to not getting divorced is to just dont let the idea of divorce become a reality. It's not a word you even say to each other.
Be willing to carry the load. Be willing to support.

‘Oh no, that’s part of your face.’ Y’all make me remember how i used to be when I was 28 with 3 boys under my belt. Keep communicating!! I wish I had done that more. Be careful to grow together and not apart. I’ve been married since 1996 to one man and I still cant believe it!😊❤
My husband and I are coming up on 13 years married. Marriage is kinda like raising kids; it goes through cycles of being easy and then tough, and sometimes even a mixture!

From what I've seen, which is admittedly, just your on-screen personas, you two still seem great together. You also seem to have the right attitude to go the distance. I married my best friend nearly 41 years ago and I love him more with every year. Going through all of the ups and downs together is life and having your best friend to prop you up when you need it, hold you when you need to cry, and laugh with until you can't breathe, is worth everything. Remember, your children will watch and learn from you, the joys of a solid relationship. Congratulations on your anniversary. I wish you both many many more to come.

The fact that you have faced all that you have faced from pure joy to deep sadness and watching that video still makes you this emotional tells a lot about you both and the way you feel about each other. From an observer I have watched you both grow and mature into an inspiring couple. I love that you share your life with us. I wish you many many more years of love and happiness. Never stop talking dreaming planning and growing and be ready to shift and flex those plans ding those things will take you so far in this life. Wonderful video - good to hear your reflections on your journey thus far. It is scary to look back at the huge decisions we made when we were young but, as someone older than you two, I think that the biggest decisions take a bit of naivety to jump in and commit to. You have done well at taking care of yourselves, your family and your marriage.

My spouse and I are celebrating 19 years together this year 🎉 and EVERYDAY we say I love you at least 2 or more times b.c. we're obsessed with each other and have been seen the first time we saw one another and finally spoke to each other too!
We just had our first kid after years of enjoying our time together, and it's been an amazing new adventure!

We renewed our vows at 10 years ❤ So glad we did, we got to share it with our kids and new friends who weren't there the first time and it meant so much to us after going through a lot of mountains and valleys together. Just celebrated 12 years and have never been more thankful for my husband! We need to hear more of the stories of people fighting for their marriages and enjoying them more and more each year. 👏

I am no spring chicken these days. I've lived a lot of life, seen so much, both amazing and really horrible moments. I've learned and grown so much in ways I never in a million would have guessed I would be who I am now so many years after saying those magical words, " I do." I did, and I still do. The biggest thing I can say is that I not only love my husband, but I LIKE him so much. Humor is such an important tool to have, especially when joining forces with another person. Clearly, you both found that in each other. It's lovely to see.
I wanted to add, I think Shawn, you are a little ray of sunshine, charming, sweet, the way you loudly love Andrew is what the world could use more of! Thank you for not being shy in sharing that kind of devotion. ( your children see, feel it ) Andrew, I wish more men could see how to show love, how to be an active spouse, and a parent. You make it feel/ look effortlessly.
