Got confused seeing all these random off brand nice looking rc cars on amazon, so I picked up the 903a, and the Rlaarlo amx12. I like them more than my erevo, I am very impressed with the Chinese stuff. And it makes you learn more about the actual hardware specs in comparison to a name brand car.
I bought a 903a over a year ago then bought a 903. I put a hobbywing quick run and I think a 3700kv motor but man I love these trucks I turned mine into a mini mini maxx lol it just kinda sucks waiting for parts so I’d suggest stocking up on pinions, diffs, and the stub axles. Awesome rigs for the price though
Subscribed.. glad I found your channel brother!! Awesome content and look forward to seeing more!! This truck was one I had my eyes on since the other body style… hbx has come a long way
This is a very popular truck. The 903a is one of my favs. I reviewed this on a year ago and it's been a very popular video on my channel. That's a great xmas present from your son. Yeah, I only got 20.1mph on my speed test though I was using my old Meilun GPS which isn't great. I gotta believe their claims were done using 3s. That sucks that the shell completely busted because it's such a sharp looking truck. Reminds me a bit of the Arrma Outcast.
I’ve seen a lot of videos on this truck. It does seem pretty popular. That was so nice of him to get me this. I couldn’t believe he did because this isn’t the cheapest truck out there but it is a great basher for the price. I do want to run mine on 3S and just see how fast it can go. Thanks for stopping in and leaving a comment. It’s appreciated.
@@ReadytoRunRC Thanks for the video. I’ve seen a lot of people complaining that the differentials aren’t reliable (stripping/breaking). Have you had any issues or heard of this? Great priced truck, but not if you constantly have to buy new diffs from light bashing.
Awesome little truck, dude! Great bashing! 😃 I just didn't like the paint... But, well... A can of spray paint would solve it in a minute. 😊 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks! We just got quite a bit of snow. Might be awhile til I can hit the track and do some more bashing. The paint scheme on this is a little unusual. You can put the 903 brushed body on it but yeah a can of spray paint would solve that too.
Battery upgrade will increase the speed. Batteries make a difference. With that upgrade you will need that wheelie bar. Also, I believe those are BlackZon wheels. Those are one of my go to brand. Good wheels. Plus cold and plastic don't play well together.
I did a battery upgrade in one of my newest videos. Ran it on 3S and the esc does not like it. Makes it super fast but the esc freaks out. I’m upgrading the esc soon.
These are really nice RTR Rc's for the money (when they are on sale). I still have mine and still use it to this Day. I'm pretty sure that the speeds that HBX and other manufacturers claim on their descriptions and boxes are done with higher voltage battery packs and not the ones they give you. Of course they do not disclose this information on the box, but really should. Really like your channel Bud, just subbed you! Great Stuff!
That’s awesome that you still bash yours. I’m pretty sure too that they have to be running these on the next size up batteries to get that great top speed number. I don’t believe a single speed claim I see on anything I get, especially the budget brand RCs. Thanks for checking out the channel and I subbed back to you in return.
@@ReadytoRunRC BiG THANKS dude!👊🏼😎 I think Some of these newer manufacturers are giving pretty honest claims, such as mjx, Rlaarlo, SCY to name a few. Hopefully the rest will follow. 👍🏻
Mine seems faster than yours. I put the wheelie bars on because mine wants to wheelie too easy. I did get the upgraded haiboxing batteries and the longer run time is nice.
@ReadytoRunRC I know, I was just saying that because the original poster said none of the box speeds are accurate and clearly he didn't read the fine print that said on 3s. My 2997 a says 55kmh and it really does closer to 55 mph with the right 3s battery
They are never out of the box that fast but a gear fixes that !

Looks like a good little basher! Thanks for the share ! Stay awesome!
It’s pretty tough. There’s some wrecks I didn’t put in the video. Thanks for checking out the video!

Thanks for subbing! More videos on the way. HBX is a great budget brand.

It does 55kmh on 3s.
Actually it does more than that. I made a video of it on 3S. I hit 59kph

It's a down hill Truck. I had an old Truck once and that's what I called it. Lol.
Good name for it. I wonder if that’s how they get their speed claims.
That's what I'm thinking.
