"same penalties apply to singaporeans/PR who consume drugs overseas"....
For God Sake, man,if this is for real its far worse than living in North Korea.
A singaporean National who goes abroad on holidays and smoke a joint in another country, when return to Singapore can face 10 years in prison...???!!!
    This is completely bonkers.
This is worse than North Korea,China and Nazy Germany put together.
This people in Singapore has no freedom what so ever, even in a foreign country.
    This his against human rights.
And this country says that his one of the most advance in the world...only in banking and AI. The rest its living in Middle Ages.
How can in the 21rst Century this dictators who decide their people free will, freedom of choice being very well regarded by the international Comunity...??!!! Jesus Christ have Mercy on this poor people of Singapore.

@@verycursedplane6557 You just have to look at what is happening around the world and also sg, after fighting against drugs for the last 50 to 100 years, there is no improvement at all. This is something that is not possible to stop, the government can only arrest some people every now and then. They can't really do much to stop the drug trade. On top of that, cannabis is legal and very common in many other countries even in places where its still illegal. There is no right or wrong, its only a matter of different opinion.

Legalize it. It is a sacred plant that can help people. The key is education and teaching people the benefits of using it for meditation and medication practices vs just recreational.

Some sgporeans may be totally ignorant (the not so young ones, like seniors). A visual upon disembarking showing examples of candies before they pick up their baggage can be placed along the passageway, with wording stating them as drugs may be helpful as some seniors (some youngsters) may really be ignorant.
