I was able to manually shift to neutral since I think my brake switch broke. But I could not push the car. It seemed to stay in gear.. Anyway the L3 still parked.
Possibly ...You may have needed to use the manual brake release pull? Its located under the little oblong cover beside the electronic park brake switch? Always worth a try.. I hope you get it sorted 👍
The selector knob just pulls off. If you want to remove the full unit. Remove the gear knob, centre consul, unplug the connectors, unclip the wire then inscrew the screws that hold the unit in place...
Cheers mate , got my family home . 2 kids under 4. It was fun until I watched this video. Lifesaver

Question that brake switch is that why my dash brake sign shows up.
Hi
Thanks for viewing. I hope it helped.
It can often be a rear brake lamp or the brake switch.. both throw up some real funny issues!
How do you remove the gear selector it self?
The selector knob just pulls off.

I have the same issue, did you solve the problem?
Yes.
It was a fault in the brake light switch.. an easy swap out for a new one 👍
I have the same drama with mine. Had to order a new switch online. Have to wait now.
