I built a pair of speakers with the following in each cabinet: 2 Eton 8580 Hexacones, 2-4" bass-mids, a Dynaudio D-28 Tweeter, and a Dynaudio D-21 supertweeter. Once I played the drum solo by Bobby Colomby on Blood Sweat and Tears II. I cranked it. I could feel his snare drum whacks on the skin of my arms! I have never had that feeling before I built those.
I built a Dynoudio kit back in the late 80's, Xenon I believe it was. 24W100, D76AF mids and D28 tweeters. That was my introduction to high end audio. Have 3 pairs of them today and a pair of Morel MLPs which was an Israeli offshoot of Dynaudio using very similar philosophies. I've accumulated many Dyn drivers as well with couple projects in action. Great company, great audio!!
I had the same speakers and wish I never sold them. They were the best sounding speakers I have ever owned. I built mine in the early 90’s I can’t say enough how good they sound. I would like to build another pair but the availability makes it impossible.
Great speakers. Our VW Tiguan from 2013 has Dynaudio speakers in it. They are AMAZING!!!! The cool thing about them is the woofers are also subwoofers. They act as mid-bass and subwoofers at the same time. They have a low-pass filter in them so that when the fadder is put all the way to the back speakers, the front mid bass drivers's low-pass is activated. It basically mutes the front tweeters, and brings the mids out from the front drivers and brings the low end up, resulting in amazing and loud bass from the front. GREAT TECHNOLOGY AND AMAZING SOUND. THANKS DYNAUDIO!!!!!!
5:40 That's like me doing a bad repair. Yeah, don't worry about that bit - it probably doesn't need it! Always get spare screws at the end too. Now I love TC Electronic and have a pair of Dynaudio M2s in my studio but what's going on with this?
5:40 the rubber gasket is inside the cabinet! He must be thinking, "oh, where's that rubber band thingy? Nah, it does'nt matter as long as I screw it tight it will still look the same". Nice quality control with a nice sticker that says "Passed".
Not sure if it makes a difference, but my Dynaudio Evoke 10 Speakers say made in Denmark. However, my brother's Dynaudio Speakers (Excite) said made in China. I think I did alright.
I am an electrical engineering student. I want to produce speakers in the future. I have a hard time because of there are no producers in my country. What materials are used especially in spider, surround and diaphragm? what is their raw material? I have no idea. For example, spider looks like fabric, but it has a hard and definite form, the diaphragm looks like paper or plastic. surround looks like rubber. In short, what is used as a raw material in which and what kind of processes it has to go through can anyone share information?
look at 5:40 - the worker forgets to put the woofer rubber gasket! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well organised and clean factory / warehouse areas some other companies are not so organised or presented so well , i would buy from this manufacturer .
They were obviously filming a shot for the doco so it's not as if the guy was making a driver for real. All the same, it was stupid as fuck for them to let that go through. Duh!
5:40 I can't believe they actually got him on video letting the gasket fall in and they showed the world, god damn that's bad, how bad at your job can someone be, it's not exactly difficult putting in a speaker in a hole, the only important part is the gasket.
I sure wish they would reconsider selling to the diy market. I was a pretty good customer back in the day. It’s the only way I could afford to have the brand in my system.

One of the world's kings in the production of audio-speakers for Audiophile
5:41 The gasket should be under the woofer instead of inside the cabinet, right ?

+i raul People react differently to having a camera in the face. Some get nervous and make more mistakes.
He got fired...!
Yup. He sure did. The gasket is sitting inside the cabinet. Maybe he got camera nervous.
I wish they hadn't stopped selling raw drivers to the diy.
Well organised and clean factory / warehouse areas some other companies are not so organised or presented so well , i would buy from this manufacturer .
did you evevr make a book shelf speaker called " just speakers" thanks
If has small upgrade for woofer coil , and the movement , it will be perfet
Did this guy really embed that driver in the cabinet, eventhought the rubber joint was just laying in the cabinet at 5:40. Can't believe my eyes
Dave Hassel hahaa - yea - i wanted to say the same thing - omg!

I think that was the speakers internal cabling
I bought a pair year ago Dynaudio LYD 8 and LOVE them!!!!

These drivers are very well constructed, I particularly like the big coils and die-cast baskets.
Great speakers.

Compare it with the Eminence Factorytour, also 9 years old. Dynaudio = modern, Eminance = Back to the Middle Ages

bekommt bei euch auch jeder Mitarbeiter einen Satz geschenkt?
as long as dynaudio dont want to sell drivers i dont want to give a fuck about them!
i hate handmade
Too much room for error when left to human hands
advanced facilities, poor skilled personel although high reputation woofers, average ratio value/performance overall
