First time Ka Fai speaking English. Coz all the time he interviews, even in NY Asian Film Festival, he speaks entirely in Cantonese with translator. Also recently, seldom Johnnie interviews in English, even in CNN or Toronto Int'l Film Festival. Very impressive they speak English.
Even though Sammi answers well, she doesn't always answer the interviewer's questions directly. I think she probably rehearsed based on previous similar questions since many interviewers ask scripted, routine questions. However, this French dude is not routine.
If the host is speaking French, why not let the guests speak their native language instead? There is a translation anyway🤷♀️ and the guests can express better.
