If you're going to work on the hinge, don't cut along the side. Cut straight down with a diamond bit at the joint between the door pin and the frame receptacle, thus cutting the bolt. Takes less time and does less damage.

I'm like totally amazed that the safe door was so tightly sealed that all that paper currency was still dry after coming out of the river. I'll have to go back and re-find all those safes I left behind over the years. Maybe I should spend my time looking for under water safes rather than wasting time watching this type of B.S. video!
the two safes were not water proof...yet the guns and money were in good shape... no mold...it doesnt pass the smell test....

Did you notice that those 100 dollar bills were not rust stained and were not issued until 2013. The gold is pretty light the . The inside of the safe is barely rusted. The "ancient treasure map" is dry and in one piece. The guns sounded like cap guns when dry fired, but that could be with some guns. Much of the money was bone dry. The cd's were in perfect shape even though being submerged in water for any amount of time would have begun to discolor the crystal bonded to the and the glue would have likely at least partially debonded it from the clear plastic. SMDH

For those of you out there who might one day actually find a safe in the water or garage or storage bin Ect. once you get it open if you happen to find something that looks like a firearm absolutely at no point do what was done here. In this situation because the slide was not fully pulled back there was no way of telling if a live round was in that chamber when the trigger was repeatedly pulled. Had that gun been loaded things would have gone from bad to really bad here.
Even with the slide locked back with no round in the chamber and no magazine inserted you should still at all times keep your finger off the trigger. The only time the finger should be inside that trigger guard putting pressure on the trigger is when that firearm is on a target the shooter is intending to hit with a bullet be it holding a rifle or handgun.
Rule #1 of firearms they are not toys and should be treated as fully loaded and deadly weapons 24/7, follow that rule and its next to impossible to have a firearm related accident that could leave someone seriously injured or worse dead. This rule also applies to less lethal guns such as BB guns, paintball guns or those used in airsoft even though those at worst damage the later 3 could do is blind someone if hit in the eye.
If you didn't know 100% that firearm that firearm could be rendered "safe" you should not have even picked it up again till a gunsmith had a look at it and fixed any issues found (which also would have cleared any round in the chamber) never mind repeatedly pulled the trigger.
I once found a treasure chest in a river with 20 million cash inside. It was to my surprise the money was not wet and the gold bars were not heavy.

Hmm, I doubt these safes were in a river because nothing inside was wet and the outside of the safe is clean (doesn't have mud or algae or stains). The money inside could have been planted or not. But they are older safes that you were trying several techniques to get into. There is some interest in that.

Surprising how well preserved the items were for a non-water proof safe. And the "owners" of the safe had taped together guns, one of which is missing so many parts it could never fire,, I mean if I was a millionaire drug dealer I would have had gold plated guns with pearl hand grips. Why keep a Microsoft office install floppy? Also he must have felt pretty safe firing the gun before even looking to see if it was loaded. Come on man.

That safe that was "found" in the river is most likely from Wal mart or staples. The gold and money are all fake and that handgun the person pulled the trigger on without first knowing if it was loaded or not that is an airsoft gun.
Gun safety rule #1 be it an airsoft/BB gun, paintball gun or actual firearm treat them all as a loaded weapon and dangerous. Never ever just pull the trigger on any firearm unless it's on sight with something you are fully intending to shoot at. Had that been a real gun with one in the chamber things would have gone from bad to very bad very quickly.
