Teachdem you are highlighting people who don’t get any recognition despite their contribution. Thanks for your service to the country. One day you will be receiving the order of Jamaica. Yes I said it make this day down
Its good to finally see someone i know personally on tbis platform representing Spanish Town Cumberland Rd, Belmore Lane, French St, Williams St, City Rock was the sound Crystal Blue and Peoples Choice those were the good old days big up Leroy @Teachdem continue to let the message reach dem
Whoa, Teach found Leroy the horns-man. I'm getting Stereo One flashbacks at this very moment. Glad Teach is documenting his journey: not a chalkboard but on video, lol. Manners Teach....
Teach Dem…another classic. Highlighting someone most don’t give the recognition he deserves. Part of dancehall history…thanks again General. Enjoyed this for sure.
Give thank for this Interview Teacher. Leroy Hornsman Is A True Legend Of Jamaican Reggae Dancehall From The 80s Until This Present Time And Age. Nuff Respect Fyah🎶🎶🎤🎧🎛🔊💣💥🔥🇯🇲
TEACH DEM!! U a give dem "donkey lengths"..superb journalism of the forgotten reggae/dancehall icons. Horsmam bless up! Didn't know u were in marching band, maybe we crossed paths cuz I know Ricky Trooper was..The days of Travellers, Trooper , St. Patrick, St. Judes, Tivoli n St. Anne's memorable rival competition yearly. Bless up str8
Big interview teach. One of the forgotten but vital piece of the original dance hall. Leroy the horns man, I remember him on Jaro, Jammins, Metro, Kangal, Stereo One, Black Star, Scorpio, Ghetto and others I can’t even remember right now. Big up yourself Leroy horns man!!!
Teach Dem, you just keep outdoing yourself with these interviews. Nice interview with the Hornsman! There is so many cassettes out there with this man.
Big interview again - giving thanks, Teacher. 😇UP Hearing a man blow the trumpet on sound-tapes I listened to back in the day (shout-out to Jayman & Andrew and the Who Cork the Dance crew for sharing that Jamaican culture to the world - that was Leroy Hornsman on plenty of those tapes) is what motivated me to start doing that, too, over here in Europe. I'll tell you why, too: most times performing with up-and-coming Reggae-bands over here, the PA/sound isn't that great in the low frequencies... Same in rehearsal-rooms. Same in studios. Feeling the bass in a soundsystem-session is a next-level (meta)physical experience to any musician, highly encouraged, if you know it, you feel it, and if you feel it, you know it better. The vibes you get when playing on a soundsystem are the best you can get, as an instrumentalist, when you get that great bass, mic well mixed with a nice reverb, and a crowd that's into all of the above, that's the bomb; most of my fellow hornsmen have never made that experience, and plenty of my other instrumentalist friends, too. The best musical work I've done was live pon sound, I'm fully persuaded. Could even get into more specifics, as in soundsystem-session outside or inside, venue full-up, half-full or not really, time of the day, which crowd is present, FX (reverb/delay/space-echo) or not, all these things play a role. It's an unspoken science, only documented in sound. Big UP all who give a hornsman a bly to blow a ting - strength to strength! 🤝 And hey, personal testimony I'm sure all of the hornsman-fraternity would agree with: if you blow your horn in a dance, you'll get at least one lady with vibes coming up and telling you that's the best thing ever, every single time, it's really greatful like that, you fully ignore she also just called my sax a trumpet - that big shiny metal? Unresistible ;) 🎺🎷🎵🎶 Anyways, stream of thoughts, vibes! More music, keep hits coming! 🔈🔉🔊 12UP
