my best tip is to play as many instruments as you can . . to learn more of the universal language. When you are in one instrument you kind of think in those terms. So playing many instruments creates all kinds of cross links between the songs that were written for each instrument. Then your mix of ideas is always getting big even if it is on another instrument. For example playing piano forces me to think about elaborating on the idea while handpan forces me to do more with less, singing forces me to pay attention to every detail etc.

How right you are with your tip no. 1! When I got my "Super Singing Bowl" a few months ago, I really wanted to be able to do a thousand different things as soon as possible ... I have made up my mind to practice something specific every day until I master it .... The result was that after a short time I didn't practice anything new, just played in my comfort zone because practicing felt like work. I have recently started using an hourglass and I always switch between the exercise part and the comfort zone part. So practicing new things is fun again and at some point the new things automatically become part of my improvised sessions ... Christina from Austria

Surprised in the best possible way: i (handpan rookie) just expected something like: "use that special coconut oil" or "meditate the path of your hands". But what you told us, are the fundamentals of learning, playing, growing, developing and enjoying one of the finest gifts this world offers to us:music. THANK YOU!

Hey bro, just found your channel. I like your energy and playstyle. Would you mind doing a video on extending melodies to make them more interesting and long lasting? I’m trying to switch my style from fast paced to more meditational style, as I was invited to play for a class. Would really love a video about how to make a more flowy and relaxing pattern for meditation and tips on how to play for longer durations like 1h, 1h30min.
Cheers mate, keep it up 💯
