my best tip is to play as many instruments as you can . . to learn more of the universal language. When you are in one instrument you kind of think in those terms. So playing many instruments creates all kinds of cross links between the songs that were written for each instrument. Then your mix of ideas is always getting big even if it is on another instrument. For example playing piano forces me to think about elaborating on the idea while handpan forces me to do more with less, singing forces me to pay attention to every detail etc.
Thanks for watching :)
Let me know want kind of content you want me to cover in the next videos
Peace ✌
thank's for the video give us more tips and tecnhics this is very cool
This is a life lesson 🙏🪔
As I am brand new to the hand pan, I’m so glad I found this video and I will tuck all of these tips in my pocket. Thank you for this great advice! (And wish me luck!)🙏🏻💫
Great Tips especially tip no.0 which is also my favorite pattern - 'chill breathe chill'
“What makes you special also limits you”…. Oooouuuffff….. very nice
Thank youuuu! I needed to hear this, I always get stuck playing what's comfortable. Need to expand my horizons (:
Oh yeah let's watch it!!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!
OLalaaaaaa brotha 🙏🏼♥️
Getting braces was a super great idea. You're really handsome already, but you upped your game with it ;))
As a very beginner handpan player, I really like your tips. Best one I think for me is goals, or being specific about the goals.
Yeah, there should be no limitations. Thank you 😄
Great tips, which can applied to any instrument! Asante.
''What makes us special also limits us'' - This really spoke to something deep inside me. I will widen the perspective, try what is new and strange, be diverse 😊
Thank you Kabeção for your wisdom and support 🙏🏻❤️
How right you are with your tip no. 1! When I got my "Super Singing Bowl" a few months ago, I really wanted to be able to do a thousand different things as soon as possible ... I have made up my mind to practice something specific every day until I master it .... The result was that after a short time I didn't practice anything new, just played in my comfort zone because practicing felt like work. I have recently started using an hourglass and I always switch between the exercise part and the comfort zone part. So practicing new things is fun again and at some point the new things automatically become part of my improvised sessions ... Christina from Austria
Instruments are like languages, such a beautiful thought! I always feel like I'll have a more open and creative mind if I listen to different instruments, culture, nature or myself while playing. Thank you for your being!!
Definitely agree with tip #5 especially 👌🏾
Edit: lmao and tip #0 😆👊🏾
Surprised in the best possible way: i (handpan rookie) just expected something like: "use that special coconut oil" or "meditate the path of your hands". But what you told us, are the fundamentals of learning, playing, growing, developing and enjoying one of the finest gifts this world offers to us:music. THANK YOU!
Tip numer 0. Thanks for this.
Great Advice, Kabe. I’ve learned a ton from you throughout the years! A major inspiration in my handpan playing for the past 4 years!
Great tips!! My favorite was “expanding your comfort zone” and practicing rhythms that are not your normal. This really got to me- thank you for all the great tips and for brightening my day! Time to go practice. ;)
This is Gold Kabe. Very nice video.
Wow, you gave some wise tips to expand handpan skills and creativity!
It's funny to say but most of your tips in this video are actually applicable to real life as well.🙂
I don't play a handpan but your tips are equally useful to me as an amateur violinist. I'm sure that other musicians will also be inspired by your playing and insights.
Just purchased your course on Master the Handpan! So excited!🙏🏻 Yes, listening to all kinds of music and getting out of the comfort zone!

Thanks Kabe
Hey Kabe, I love No. 3 (level up you exercises). Can you show more challenging exercises?
Thank you💫all tips are favorites
Hey bro, just found your channel. I like your energy and playstyle. Would you mind doing a video on extending melodies to make them more interesting and long lasting? I’m trying to switch my style from fast paced to more meditational style, as I was invited to play for a class. Would really love a video about how to make a more flowy and relaxing pattern for meditation and tips on how to play for longer durations like 1h, 1h30min.
Cheers mate, keep it up 💯
Love that I can apply these tips for more than just handpan :) thank you masta Kabe

Thank you so much Kabeção! I bought my first handpan about 1 month and I'm practicing once a day. I use your musics and the Yatao's compositions to inspirate myself.

Your spiel around 6:30 was so good it was even a bit emotionally moving to me. I can't wait to expand the types of music I listen to. Do you have a playlist? Haha. My one challenge is I'm pretty picky about lyrics so I generally stick with instrumental music.
I couldn.t get a Handpan yet.. But I,m steel learning it from you :)

Nice tips, thank you very much ! Never thought of recording myself with a camera while playing, sounds like a very good idea ! Also I agree the last tip. One day I was listening to some black metal and came up with some really different patern and melody when I picked up my handpan right after it.
