Shekhar Gupta has always been an ethical journalist. When you like his views, he becomes objective, when you disagree, you call him a propagandist! I don't always agree with him as well, (and he doesn't claim he is neutral-humans cant be) but his analysis is made of hard facts.

10:58 beg to differ with you sir. There is a reason for a separate ministry for steel. India if it ever hopes to be a developed nation should ramp up the capacity of steel. China's steel capacity is 10 times that of India. The first heavy industry for any major country that achieved development was to have a mega steel company that propelled the economy through infrastructure. US steel, Nippon steel, POSCO - you name it. Without steel there is no infrastructure, without infrastructure there is no manufacturing. So that is the difference between steel and other metals.

For your information steel is the base metal used in infrastructure as well as manufacturing on which the whole economy runs.
