FYI that extra harness that you plug into each speaker is what filters the relevant sound frequencies for that specific speaker out of the signal that comes via the OEM cables.
I thought my F10 with Harmon Kardon sounded good but them Alpha One’s put them to shame. If your audio settings are all factory you should check out a video from What’s Your Forte?. He goes through the fine adjustments and it made my stereo sound sooo much better. I’m curious if it will have the same effect for the Alpha one’s.

This would of been a great opportunity to clean it up inside, before your new Alpha installation. Keeping your new speakers etc away from the dirt. Sounds awesome. You gotta clean that screen over the sub its gross. previous owner spilled something there and cleaned the carpet better than that. on a hot day it will start to drip which is why the old sub is so dirty
I replaced every speaker and the amp was in the car and used the factory housing with minor modifications. Got a 5 channel amp and added a single sub. Puttin a different radio again eventually that will look more stock
I HIGHLY recommend this speaker (and amp ) setup in just about any BMW.. While you are there, seriously consider doing Soundskin matting as well, since the doors are already opened up. Nour is awesome, Bimmertech is absolutely the way to go, and I have some DIY videos up for soundskins if you need them. WORLD of difference in my F87, after I did the full Alpha Ones and amp in my car.
You need to find someone with a good ear to tune the amp and eq for you. I am rubbish at it so always get my best mate to do it every car I have had sounds so much better once he has set it up
You should of disconnected the battery before moving the seats back like that - I’ve read that the seats have inertia “sensors “ or something of that sort that can sometimes cause the airbags to deploy if your move a seat like that with the battery still connected
I thought h/k was standard for m cars, but it seems his has only hifi as there is no equalizer settings or L7 logo in idrive and door tweeters doesnt have harman kardon badges

WRONG : that crossover is designed to work with the FACTORY amp ONLY. If you order the full kit. Leave these OUT.
