The seats mounted higher in the Ghia models explained a lot. I remember driving a Consul in my young days, and man.. I'm 1,8m and didn't feel i had a good view over the hood, because i was seated far too low. My friend, the owner of the Consul, is 1,93, and seemed to have more headroom in that car, than the reviewer has in this video. I was rather confused, until he said that seats in the Ghia are placed higher :) ..and i totally agree. The mk1 Granada is a REALLY fucking cool car. My fav shape is the stationcar, but i do love all of them. Only complaint about this short video is that we didn't get to hear the wonderful sound of the engines properly.
I had a p reg in 1979, 3 year old, gold ,black vinyl roof beige interior, drove beautifully, smooth quick and very comfortable, sold it after 2 years for house deposit, at 24 years of age it was the best I'd had ,would love a nice one to day ,I've now got an s class mercedes lovely car but would love another Granada if I could get one ,happy days
what an absolute beauty of a granada , I have 3 of these though they are 1.43 diecast models ,all UK police . i think this lovely navy blue example is possibly the nicest on Yt , dark blue is always the best colour to go with in classic cars especially if one is not sure , some other colours suit other cars better but you can never go wrong with dark blue .
I remember the Mk1 well fantastic car, blew away the opposition like Renault 30's, Austin Princess's etc, it was the leader of the pack in every possible way.

Actually, Ford lended a few of these Granada Ghia´s (the design was penned at the Ghia studio but the badge was used by Ford on all european top-of-the-line packages back then) to an american consumer test group, but they deemed it too european for their tastes... Ford even tried building one re-designed as a mini Lincoln(!) with the full set of gimmicks making it look like a crossover. I couldn´t say that it looked better than your american Granada, of which a few made it across the ocean but mostly of the tricked-out Mercury version. I´ve read that the decision to build the american other but keep the name came after that whole turndown of the european.
Olof L Fyra årdentliga reparationer dagligen? Det var ändå bra mycket mer för pengarna än tex en motsvarande volvo. Volvo höll ju trots allt på med stel bakaxel i 20 år till.

The Ghia Granada MK 2 looks absolutely beautiful
This V6 Engine sounds incredible ❤
En mycket vacker bil från en tid då biltillverkarna förstod sig på att göra estetiskt tilltalande bilar
beautifle cars my dad had one of these on a p plate 1976.

Återstår Ronny och Ragge-bilen, "Fårrden", Taunus från sent 1970-tal.😂

Why do these Granadas look way better than the North America ones?
